Your the best!
I enjoy the voice of Hugo Strange.
Nice job, Devon!!!
What the hell men his name Jack nappier
Hugo Strange's accent sounds Romanian and I love it. Also Devon C. Taylor's Joker is fantastically original. Poor Jeremiah Arkham. 😭 May his soul rest in peace.
I love how desperate the Joker is to avoid going to Blackgate.
This Joker is a real laugh.
He is a clown
Hugo Strange: I know what you are clown. I know if you're not funny, you're nothing. *So I'm not going to let you be funny*
Shame that Jeremiah Arkham has passed away. I kinda wanted to see him have an interview with the Joker. Nonetheless, I’m glad the Clown Prince finally got his interview.
Exactly
I like that you made Hugo Strange sound like a vampire
Now it makes sense why he's so obsessed with Bats!
Bingo! 😂😂
Btw huge fan of your work
@@mr.rogues4145 but that couldn't possibly explain how he knows Batman's secret identity
He sound like A Russian to me
Joker sounds like how I imagined him in silver age comics and that’s not a complaint. I dig some more original takes instead of trying to copy Mark Hamil (whose voice is the best but new takes are always welcome)
What's wrong with the Silver Age?
@@tayojones9460 Nothing's wrong with the silver age lol
I actually love the silver age non murderous version, but I do like a sympathetic Joker
Actually, I’d say Mark Hamill’s Joker in BTAS is very Silver Age at times too. Especially the lighter episodes. But I see what you mean.
I still can’t imagine the joker without mark hamill.
R.I.P
Jermiah arkham

A "cut"above the rest
Joker: that's all folks HaHaHaHaHa
too soon lol
How do you know his birth date?
@@derp-7274 I use Wikipedia to find outs his debut in batman comics and used that as his birthday
I hear every joker from every universe laughing and clapping right now.
Even Jared Leto Joker?
@@deshawnedwards6412 we don't talk about that joker.
Deshawn Edwards
You dare speak his name?
@@deshawnedwards6412 perhaps so, but he probably wouldn't be up for discussion for most folks
He Plays Jack Nicholson in every in movie he's in
I really like the concept of the joker trying to pretend to be a different type of insane to not get the death sentence
They kinda touched on that in Devil’s advocate(great story by the way)but it has never been done to such an extent I think.
Paul dini also explored this concept a little bit in batman black and white "Case study". Essentially joker just fake his insanity to avoid the death sentence.
I remember the episode in Robot Chicken where Batman convinced the jury that Joker is not insane in order to put him in the Death Penalty
It's an interesting development that Strange is the one interviewing for now. I liked how desperate Joker was getting by faking mental illness symptoms. Joker's voice sounds original and fitting for the character. I love how there's a certain storyline that is fleshed out more and more as the videos go on. Excited to see what you have in store this time!
Poor Arkham
But Strange as the new director of the asylum, oh god
and I am thinking that this whole thing is the beginning of strange’s rise to villainy
It better be, I rather enjoy Hugo as a villain.
I can't believe you did such an obscure character.
Dr Death wasn't just obscure, he was also the first villain Batman ever fought
@@damianprock1650 he isn’t talking about dr death, he’s talking about the joker🤦♂️ he’s surprised he’s doing such an obscure batman villain, no where near as mainstream as condiment king or crazy quilt😂
@@damianprock1650 i think you're on the wrong video. Dr. Hugo strange isn't dr.death btw
@@Delete240 I'm just saying that even though Karl Helfern had fallen into obscurity, he would always be the original member of Batman's rogues gallery, besides, Hugo Strange isn't obscure, he was one of the main villains in *Arkham City,* have we lost track of that? The Joker is Batman's main foe, he isn't so obscure
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 I wouldn't be so sure
Here's hoping that Hugo fares better than Jeremiah did. And Devon did a spectacular job as the Joker.
I guess only time will tell.
@@mr.rogues4145 you can say that again Rogues
You have the perfect voice for Hugo Strange.
It isn't exactly deep enough, the Dr H Strange from *Arkham City* had a deeper more menacing voice
@@damianprock1650 Strange's voice in BTAS isn't that deep. I do prefer Cory Burton's voice in Arkham City though.
@@RbkARI exactly
Let's be real. There's some narcissistic personality disorder too. He doesn't want to be forgotten.
Strange: "Lets cut the silly jokes, shall we?"
Joker: "Cut the jokes? HEY, SHARPIE, DIDN'T HE GET MY PERMANENT RECORD?!"
Seriously though, this Is a funny session, just like J's Arkham Asylum patient tapes. Heck, some of your character versions in this series even surpasses them and the comics when it comes to personality! ⚘⚘⚘
Sharp: "Be quiet, clown!"
OMG HUGO IS CANON! WTF?! Muh poor bebeh Jerimiah is dead! 😭
RIP Jeremih
Bless his soul...
Oh man...he has to suffer in every universe, doesn't he?!
@@begga7595 ;_; apparently yes.
Is he? Isss heee?
I'm afraid he is, he's been around til the events of Arkham City
This one was great! That bit with joker faking a mental illness was hilarious.
Great choice to make Hugo Strange the new interviewer. Really solid Joker voice here as well.
Don't worry, Jerry! I'll bring you back with the Lazarus pit!
:-)
"So, Doc, do you want me to look at the ink bots again?" - The Joker
The joker making it up as he goes was hilarious
New doctor, new interview room, new intriguing story-line, I'm gonna like series 2
I love how joker compliment scarecrow, only batman villains can see themselves as one big insane family
I never got the chance to say it, but I like your Strange. You got dangerously close to doing Maxie Zeus, but you pulled it off. And props for Mr. Taylor. You earned your role.
Thank you, Curt.
I admit it is too close to Maxie... Frankly, I'm running out of voices to do... :P
One word, FINALLY!
*Jack Nicholson played you just find, but lately the casting's declined, Jared Leto came out trying to look like he was Tekashi 6ix9ine!*
Pennywise
True John Wayne of John Wayne Gacy's Undergrown Clown Posse, his flow was insane
I love you😂! ERBoH for ever!
Puddin, you’re an embarrassment: I’ll beat you like you beat Harley Quinn
That purple suit is something you should only see Steve Harvey in!
Funny thing about Jack Nicholson, my grandmother went to high school with him
this quote is from epic rap battles of history joker vs pennywise
I somehow knew Hugo was going to be the doctor this time. It's a shame there is no series 3 although I understand your reason for not making it.
Jeremiah replacing with Hugo Strange is great and something that I didn't expect.
Please do a session with Hush next!
As far as I can tell there is no joker session part 2 which leads me to believe that Hugo was not satisfied with the information that joker provided either that or he was and simply didn't hold up his end of the bargain.
That was great what a riot. Especially joker faking his illnesses.
Joker sounds like the Monarch. 🤣
Of Menace?
@@mr.rogues4145: No, from the Venture Brothers.
That would make sense
* I start laughing at joker's antics* TURN THE GAS OFF! TURN THE GAS OFF!
I'm sad to hear old Jeremiah is now in Hela's realm.
Both impersonations were great, personally I didn't picture Hugo with such a strong accent, but it's actually quite nice fitting.
As for Devon, he really brings a late Silver Age vibe to the Joker, I can't help but imagine the Laughing Fish.
A few things.
1) WHAT!? Dr. Arkham is dead!? I through he'd be committed in Arkham in series 2, please tell me this ain true.
2) Hugo Strange is now in change of the Asylum? I thought he'd be a patient in this version.
3) really like the voice you give Strange, like it when he have the German accent.
4) Who is next? Penguin, Mr. Freeze. Harley, Pyg, or Clayface.
5) Love the new background, will you be using it for future Session videos? Or was this session being held in Joker cell?
I hope that Strange was just lying about Arkham's suicide...I need more of him
I want pyg most
I thought the same thing with 1.
Hey Mr. ROGUES you are the man you have a knack for impressions keep up the good work
Strange giving Joker the Nik Cruz treatment is hilarious
Season 2 is shaping up to be even better than the First. Arkham‘s death is certainly a shocking twist and while it’s pretty obvious to replace him with Strange it’s still very intriguing to have the psychiatrist be a active antagonist plotting his scheme against Batman. Him slowly figuring out his identity will be very fun to watch.
SO HAPPY YOU'RE CONTINUING! I'VE BEEN FEELING DOWN AND THIS NEWS CHEERS ME UP
Wow it came quicker than I expected well done 👌👏, great joker too!

I’d love another Arkham Sesssion of Poison Ivy, Two-Face as well as one of Mr. Freeze
Mr Freeze I'm all in for since his background gains more sympathy than anyone else in Arkham
Seconding Mr. Freeze.
This version of joker reminds me a lot of Jim Carrey. I love it
I love this video, my favourite by far. Its amazing.
R.I.P doctor Arkham.
Undoubtedly the best part was Hugo Strange, he had such power and presence not just in his voice but the audio of his movement, good Joker as well, shame Jeremiah died but at least he died with Scarecrow, although I'd say Hugo would not be fooled by Joker's play but he was surely playing along to get to his endgame of getting intel about Batman
WOW, Hugo Strange as took over Jeremiah Arkham's place as the head of Arkham Asylum and he's questioning the patients to give him some information to destroy Batman !
Sounds like this is the story arc for this series.
Wao so good and underrated, keep going
This was so cool!
Lol joker pulling shit out of his ass trying to save himself was hilarious. I love the idea that joker is just an evil asshole who uses Arkham as an excuse to get away with anything he wants.
This joker sounds like what Jim Carrey would do for a joker voice
Very unique joker.
The time has come for the ultimate Batman villain
POLKA-DOT MAN
Loved it!!
Hugo, I love you!
I'm your biggest fan!
What a great joker voice!
This is a good video because it dispels the obnoxious myth that the Joker is crazy, the unfortunate implications that DC Comics conflates the mentally ill with criminal behavior. Because the Joker knows what he's doing and takes pride in it. He's not insane, he's just evil
Technically, that logic could apply to almost all of the other villains in Gotham's Rogues Gallery.
@@sarahsims6164 Oh I know. Joker's just the most blatant example of DC conflating criminality and sociopathy with insanity
Yep! Finally taking time to listen to these! Better late than never. XD
I'm not entirely sure HOW I feel about Mr. Taylor's Joker, I must confess...though that may be partially due to personal bias. :P It's certainly unique, that I can say without a doubt, though I hear shades of Romero in it, which is interesting. Not sure if it was intended or not.
As for Professor Strange...I feel your accent for him is a bit over-the-top, if you don't mind the critique...but, to be fair, we're not exactly going for subtlety here, are we? And it's not as if his voice has ever been the most subtle with other versions, either. :P It does sound distinct from your Jeremiah voice, in terms of not only the accent but also the tonal quality, so I can safely say you did a solid job there. It's interesting to have such voices start the new season; I think it was wise of you to make this your first episode here, as a result, just because it really sells how different things will be.
Also, love the new animation for the video. Same spooky simplicity, whole new flavor. ;)
Hey your the voice of Mad Hatter
Great job with Hugo Strange's voice.
Thanks!
You do a very good Hugo Strange voice... it was real classy
I knew you would be Hugo Strange! You simply sound amazing as him, but Gotham is my favorite Hugo Strange.
Yeah I like that one too, mostly because his actor already play a doctor/psychologist.
@@deshawnedwards6412 BD Wong was a very good choice to play Strange.
@@hawktalon7890 BD Wong should play or voice Hugo Strange even more.
Professor Strange just screws with him for a bit😂
This is the one session that actually made me laugh
YES FINALLY!!!!
... I dread to think what'll happen to the more treatable cases under Strange's watch!
I love this
This was great, loved the different voice for Joker. Bane is definitely the next best pick, I look forward to seeing one of my favorite Batman villain.
is it just me that's getting a Robin Williams-y vibe from this version of the joker?? i can easily imagine him being played by Robin, something about the voice and the joke delivery
joker is trying to live. and hugo knows he is not convinced.
So Hugo is doing the sessions. This is gonna be interesting. Though Hugo sounds like Maxie Zeus.
Hmm. Maybe it's Maxie Zeus in disguise all along? Plot twist!
I like this because I always hated how the mentioned the possibility of the death sentence for Holiday in Dark Victory, and it always bugged me because you can't have the death penalty exist while trying to keep around characters like Joker. Also, it makes sense that his worst fear would be the death penalty, because then his death doesn't even mean something. If he can get Batman to kill him, Batman breaks his code, but if he gets the death penalty that's just the system working and that's no fun
I knew it! I was thinking that with Jeramiah on the out (may he rest in peace), I thought things in Arkham might get Strange.
Sorry, felt Ill early. As for joker, he grew on me over the session. Not a fan of the voice, little too silly for my taste, sounds more like Mr.Mxyzptlk. But the writing and delivery was stellar. I'm gonna like these new sessions
Excellent!
Looks like the Joker is just what the doctor ordered..
The session that I laughed the most at.
This was hilarious 🤣
Man, I know is difficult, but i would love some Harley's sesions as a psychiatrist
3:54 There is no way Strange is stupid enough to fall for that.
Of course not, lol.
Joker sounds like Discord.
RIP Dr Arkham.

R.I.P. Jeramiah Arkham.
The fellow you got to play the Joker was wonderful. I wasn't expecting this sort of scenario with the Joker. But it was interesting, and I appriciate that he wasn't a goddamn edgelord in this one!
Thank you! Yes, I wasn't interested in doing anything edge-lordy with Mistah J; I just wanted to do something fun with him.
Wait, what? Dr. Strange took the reigns? Huh.
Well, this is unexpected. No, not the Joker. I'm talking about Hugo Strange, I didn't think he would show up. :D
not bad ... indeed very cool
Honestly Joker isn't really that insane compared to the other patients
Noooo, Jeremiah :(
Dr. Strange, is it? You'll find that finding out the identity of Gotham's Dark Knight will take a little more than playing 20 Questions w/a psycho clown. This episode was as good as the last. And the voice of the Joker was just as good as the voice of Scarecrow. One of them is mad, and the other will drive you mad.
Wait a minute... Mrs. WHAT NOW?
Hugo Strange
I already miss Jeremiah Arkham
You and me both
Finally, a Joker who's actually funny!
Analysis: The Joker here is quite good. Im a little disappointed, though, that he sounds annoyed of going to Blackgate. Joker is a maniac with no fear to anyone or anything, including death. Watching him begging to not be moved is not his style. It's a bad joke.
However, at the end he accepts to be moved just to cause more chaos and madness in Blackgate. And he asking if there would be cameras reminds me of Joker: Devil's Advocate comic, as the Joker is always looking for an audience.
I like the thing of Hugo Strange making a deal with Joker. It is like the Arkham City videogame. After all, Hugo is obsessed with Batman as well, so is no surprise he goes as far as to ally with other villains to get more information about his idol.
Anyway. This portray is good. Hahahaha! Sorry, I just remembered some funny moments of Joker. Funny! Right?! 🤡
I get you. By something that I get from the Joker is that he doesn't whant to die if he's death won't acomplish something that he would find funny, or that would appease his ego. As much as he boasts about everything being a joke he was, in many stories, very afraid to die if he didn't find that funny or meaningful enough. Or if he find that his death would be a joke on him, not on Batman. In Return of The Joker, the Batman Beyond movie, for instance, his last words before his death was "That's not funny", because it didnt go the way he wanted. I don't think the Joker is afraid of death itself, in fact, he's afraid of not being the one having the last laugh
Hugo strange!
hugo strange is director now...
god dammit
I've been expecting Dr. Strange, but I must admit to being surprised he's taken over. A moment of silence for Dr. Arkham. .......So Dr. Strange thinks the Joker is too old to treat. Is he related to Yoda?
Omg yes!
Oh my god oh god
What did Strange ask Joker? The identity of the Batman? Because that makes no sense. Joker'd never tell. He seems fine with death so
he sounds like a muppet joker
Joker trying desperately to stop Strange sending him to Blackgate was funny. Your Arkham Sessions have their own TV Tropes page now Rogues. Did you know that?
I’m with Joker on not being sent to Blackgate, because I think Joker doesn’t belong in a place like Blackgate and because of Blackgate being a huge hell (I think that because of that Gotham episode 2x16 where Gordon was serving his time in Blackgate before escaping to clear his name)
Does anyone remember that Joker's real name is actually Jack Napier
