I think i fought the old jackal just ONCE back in 2017, i give the game ago for like a week left it for like 3 years and then when orphix venom was ending. But man that first boss fight outside the tutorial is ingraved on my head.
A few years after that version there was that warframe that i really enjoyed back in the days, warframe today is good but i feel that something is missing looking at early gameplay videos
I remember in my early days doing survival missions on infested and people going together to a room doing a last stand because we are running out of ammo and have to fight for our lives, it was scary, and we felt like we really had the need to survive the waves of infested. I remember having Loki as a starter frame and having the conclave as normal missions.
Seeing this i miss old Ember. Her 4th Ability just cleared everything and was much better than her current one, we didnt even got an augment mod to keep or imitate the old ability.
Honestly, I miss this Warframe. It had a huge variety of flaws, undoubtedly, but also something that the current Warframe lacks. I've been playing the game since 2013, and have been through from late beta to present day Dagath and auto-use Plague Star Phylaxis. The game is just so fast now - high octane, rapid movement, loads of VFX that light up the whole screen, constant noise from rapid explosions, spamming abilities, enemy death screams etc. It has lost a lot of the charm it once had. This grittier, slower paced version; where enemies are less abundant but also more dangerous, the atmosphere is a lot more grim, and where it genuinely feels like the player is infiltrating a Corpus ship. No doubt, today's Warframe is a great improvement, but it certainly has its downsides. Feels so difficult to appreciate Warframe when you are just zipping past everything a lightspeed as everything just dies around you.
I do think new players have it much harder now than back then when it comes to enemy difficulty. Todays individual enemies are only less dangerous to us because we racked up hundreds to thousands of game hours. New players going up with a Braton against the new Exima probably feel frustration.
This feels like a problem for people with equipments that are optimized to hell. Back then eximus doesn't have overguard that makes them immune to CC. Now, some enemies actually backs off so they can take potshots at you, and bosses have phases with invulnerability periods and elephant specifically have damage recieve cap, so enemies definitely more a threat now than back then, you are just too efficient to see it.
I know I was playing when the game looked like this, the levels are all familiar and I remember all the layouts, but for the life of me staring at this now it looks all wrong and surreal.
god I miss this tileset I don't think I've ever seen the small junction at 0:19, they must have removed it by the time I started playing A shame, because I love how it looks!
Same, though I don't think it's nostalgia The (new) ship tileset is one of the best they ever made, but the old one was my fav because of how simple and clean it was (to be extremely honest I do not miss locking the ship by accidentally breaking a window though)
God I remember playing this on the Xbox. It wasn't exactly like this but there are so many similarities. It wasn't really what I was looking for at the time but I thought it was cool enough so I played until Halo 5 came out. I got back into it when Orb Vallis came out and got hooked instantly. I moved over to PC simce and haven't been able to play Warframe for the last 3-4 years because I intuited they were likely working on crossplay even though they hadn't announced it yet by then. Lo and Behold I was completely correct and ended up waiting 2 years, but now they're rolling out the first half of cross-save.
Kinda wish they hadn't changed it truth be told. New Jackal is just an annoying gimmick fest... *especially* the corrupted version in Circuit. That version is basically just a test of "did you pick a warframe with an invincibility skill or incredible survivability? No? Have fun with the laser wall/mortar phases."
There's actually a trick you can use. On the walls on the border of the arena, there's some high places where you can stand on and stay safe from the lasers. I used those whenever I had to farm the new Jackal.
Pop into your other form and go into the void. It will protect you. Just remember that your smaller self can't stab the boss. Same goes for you @nakano15
Once, Warframe was the greatest climactic sci-fi mmorpg, then DE started breaking every aspect of their own game, I wish had quit playing it when void keys were removed, because after that it was only downhill, what a fucking joke of a developer.
That stamina bar, that box ogris, that tileset, that radio effect Lotus, oh my god this is such a good trip to the memory lane..
I want the box ogris skin so bad. Its still in-game at Darvo's.
@@Beefercowwhat box ogris?
@@wisnu7846 the weapon the player is using in this video. The ogris now has a different model that makes it look more like a grineer launcher.
"Keep going, nobody knows youre here. Youve been seen"
You think lotus ever gets disappointed in us?
A few years later, everything dies in the room before you even get close to the room.
Yup.

Took 10 years but the algorithm cometh
Jackel:”threat level upgraded, class level: pathetic”
Volt: “and I took that personally”
10 years later and slide tapping is still a movement technique

I miss the tiles where the path forward was through an open vent.
man with the new ui customizations, it sure would be nice to have this UI back
Ah yes, the enlightened times when Ogris was considered a silent weapon. And twin Zorens was a quite fast helicopter.
A few years after that version there was that warframe that i really enjoyed back in the days, warframe today is good but i feel that something is missing looking at early gameplay videos
Yeh they need to bring back the dark secktor vibes
fr no joke 100%

@@dejack_13 now ppl just bullet jump around the map, one shot everything.😅
Here in the year 2021 seeing this again makes me feel hard lol
Ayo?
Man, seeing videos like this really puts into perspective how far Warframe has come and how much effort DE has poured into the game.
I remember when power abilities were mods and instead of endo, there was fusion cores
Good old times, i remember these CBT days. Melee mechanics with the fang and ctrl bhop-like were top notch
The Ogris model and Explosion looked so friggan cool. Would be amazing to get that as a skin.
I know it's after this version but i do miss the old wall running.
Me too
A lot of the old tilesets make much more sense with wall running
I love bullet jumps and latching but still
Ahhhh the good old monkey sounding Corpus.. i miss that sound
Female Ember, this was around the time I started playing!
What do you mean old jackal? DE changed that boss?
Used to be able to one shot it through the legs or with aoe.
Oh Big time, old Jackal was piss easy. Dude got a massive overhaul
He didn't always had those laser walls crap
@@ecardecardian7839 Reading this made me realize I haven't fought Jackal in a looong ass time, I remember the fight like in this video 😂
Old jackal is just a big corpus mob. There is no "invincible time" that time.
And self damage too

Yeah, adult onset depression, LMAO.
Gad dayum, the ogris looked like a laser rifle from fallout.
I fought in that room before Deadlock Protocol. I didn't get to long though as I made my account in April of 2019.
I know I was playing when the game looked like this, the levels are all familiar and I remember all the layouts, but for the life of me staring at this now it looks all wrong and surreal.
god I miss this tileset

That junctions was literally the worst lmao I can’t tell you the amount of times I got lost trying to find my way through that room
The new jackal made him inferiVOR rhino is by far the worst loot in assassination history with 9 loots
10 лет назад, бандикам, полоска со стаминой. ойойой
Ten years ammo 😢
I kinda miss the old corpus ship layout. That’s just nostalgia though

Considering that you can walk close to him while the laser walls are active and be completely fine, I don't think so
There's actually a trick you can use.

Ah, Operator. Beside, I rarelly use the Operator.
I preffer a lot more using the Warframes instead.
what? XD just go into void mode with operator. that fight is braindead easy
I see old ember too
Man what à time
More serius and less action i think
