mainly for side switch but hooligan mix-up is good for oki/meaty after like a double back heavy kick for example, or heavy combo into spiral arrow and then hooligan mix-up instead of the usual canon spike (her DP)
The only character I find frightening on modern is gief. I refuse to get close up to him even on classic too. But modern gief is more scary. Especially a skilled modern gief.
I believe Cammy used backroll (holding two buttons while getting knocked down). The backroll animation makes it look like Cammy is punishable (versus just normal wakeup), but you can act out of backroll with the same timing as normal wakeup so Cammy just finished the round with an OD reversal.
@Shinryuken15 e everyone has a negative win ratio if u fight anyone good... the whole point is bring in new players and showing them that it can be done reaching master with modern or classics its a preference at this pt each has its benefits and before u come for me I play classic chun..
Then there's no point in playing modern for losing access to some normals. Also, it wasn't impressive, not sure what the point of the video is. When you see a bunch of players better than him and using classic controls, I'm really questionning what's so special about him. It's like you want to show that you can play modern and somehow succeed but no m controls players won any tournament as of yet. So again, I don't understand.
@@nyrva2876 "Then there's no point in playing modern for losing access to some normals." Cammy loses VERY few normals on Modern. The only one that hurts IMO is the jumping HP. I'm playing Modern Cammy too, and the instant DP and lvl 3 are a big help. Inputting commands in combos also mitigates the damage loss, so overall it's some nice bonuses and very few loses.
@@nyrva2876 the point for most ppl is having to worry about less execution errors and to focus on fundamentals. For me I like using modern cause I came from DBFZ and the control schemes are similar. I can play classic too on some chars but modern personally feels better for me. There’s only been like two major tournaments anyway and it really doesn’t matter if Modern wins any or not. Capcom is pushing them as the default control scheme and going forward they might tweak it to make it even more viable who knows
I've noticed that like no master Cammy uses hooligan- not even for a surprise mix up.

this video definetly helped me learn some combos. thank you.
Glad to hear it!

nice!
I don't know how the fuck the guy's he's fighting got to Masters. They aren't even doing basic stuff in Platinum.
Because you can get to Master just by grinding a lot. Even with a negative win ratio lol

I cant even get past bronze with modern controls, I especially don't understand that drive parry cancel crap with the green glow. Wth is that.
If you hit Drive Parry while hitting a move that can special cancel on hit or block, you'll do a Drive Rush in at the cost of 3 Drive Bars
@@warzonice2300 and what’s the benefit of that? Chain more combos?

This video isn’t impressive. this guy is going back and forth between classic and modern inputs . Do a fully modern controls run and fully adapt.
The better modern players use both simple and classic inputs
Thats bad modern player. Pros using modern to instant reaction stuffs like some special and super, then do the combo with classic inout for full dmg.

It’s exactly how I play. She loses barely anything so I play basically classic cammy but with instant dp, super and dive kick
I don't see much benefit with Modern controls on Cammy. The things he did are not hard to do with Classic and there's no damage penalty
her instant supers, dp and instant dive kick make her really good on modern
He’s most likely using regular inputs for everything besides instant DPs and supers in which case there is no damage penalty

modern controls were a mistake
modern controls were the best thing to have ever happened to SF

As a classic control, I can insure you modern isn't the issue......it's you

no amount of player deserves respect using modern.
When you think SF is only about inputs of moves or combos, you have no idea what you are talking about and should just stfu.
