    ⚠️EXPLANATION⚠️ CeraVe uses mouse testing and so do a lot of dermatologists prescribed brands. I don’t support animal testing but if a doctor prescribed you something then you should use it because u know, it’s prescribed. And CeraVe is a highly prescribed brand. As much as I love cruelty-free, if you truly cannot find another vegan/cruelty free option that’s good for your face or just a good product in general,then you can keep using that product. (Or if it’s expensive) However just make sure to be mindful on how different products you use/discard can affect the planet and it’s animals, especially things such as fast-fashion and one use items. (Not to mention if workers are being treated correctly by the company)
      It’s practically impossible to go full vegan/cruelty-free as you’d also have to be anti-vaxx (which isn’t good obviously, go get your vaccines) but honestly vaccines and some other things such as medicine are probably the only products I don’t feel so bad for using as even if the animals have to suffer, it is for an actual reason instead of just lipstick or face masks.

    For brands like CeraVe that cater to the medical side of dermatology, it's important to note that their "cruelty" is from testing on mice before humans trials. And in such brands that are "dermatologist recommended", there is an ethics board involved when approving animal testing and the ethics board conducts a cost-benefit analysis and then only does animal testing proceed. So please, before blindly shunning something that is so helpful for many, read up on the nuances of animal testing in cosmetics, especially medically-catered cosmetics.

The FDA requires new UV filters to be tested on animals before approving them to be used in sunscreens. Problem is companies don't want to waste the funding for the animal testing to get the filter approved only to then lose their customer base because of the "animal cruelty" label while their competitors will be able to use the newly approved UV filter for better sunscreen AND still keep their "animal cruelty free" label on their company & products.

    Hey guys! I just wanted to say that CeraVe animal testing is true. They’ve done several tests on animals and I actually also found out that their products contain a lot of synthetic Polymer. Synthetic Polymer is something like Micro Plastic and it actually gets into our water and if more brands are putting more Polymer in their products then It’ll get more into our water. The problem is actually you can’t filter it because it’s I think really small even on a microscope.

      not sis tryna "inform" people about polymers.. A polymer (/ˈpɒlɪmər/;[4][5] Greek poly-, "many" + -mer, "part") is a substance or material consisting of very large molecules called macromolecules, composed of many repeating subunits. -literally Wikipedia. If you're so against polymers then you're against collagen, silk, gelatin, literally POTATOES (starch) and rice, cellulose (paper) etc... Ik you have ur heart in the right place sis but pls! Do research, it takes one google search to find out what a polymer actually is. I'm guessing you're actually against silicones maybe? From your description of "polymers". Silicones indeed don't dissolve in water and make everything more "smooth" but nowadays thanks to technology there are variants of silicones that are water soluble. Those that have PEG-8 or PEG-12 dimethicone actually have water soluble silicones that wash off easily without sulfates

  • @Ghoxtie-1488
    @Ghoxtie-1488 Місяць тому

    Okay so
    Laneige - doesn’t animal test, they stopped in 2012
    Cerave- Because it’s a brand recommended by doctors, they do mice testing
    Sephora - I heard that they’re slowly switching to cruelty free but I’m not sure Abt that.
    Edit - did more research about Laneige. They themselves say they do not test on animals, however some other websites say they are not cruelty free. Did a little more digging and they only animal test in places where it’s required by law. I saw a point saying that when they do animal test, it’s their manufacturer that does but I don’t get that point since in that case they’re still selling animal tested products. The point might be that they animal test on other products they produce, not necessarily Laneige’s? But not sure about that one. So to summarise, they only animal test in countries that require it by law, so take that as you will.
