In case no body knew, the green ranger and white ranger did share the screen at the same time back in mmpr. It was an evil clone of Tommy with the green ranger powers vs the new white ranger... then at the end the green ranger was lifted from the mind control then went to live out his days in the past due to time travel with the green ranger powers still in tack.... which brings up some continuity errors but that’s a story for another time
Uh, the Green Ranger and White Ranger was in the same episode in the multi part episode "Return of the Green Ranger" when Tommy was cloned by the Wizard of deception (Which you find out in the comics "Go Go Power Rangers" that the Wizard of Deception helped Rita get the Green Ranger Power coin and the Green Candle)

Awesome seeing Bat In The Sun's Green Ranger design be added to the PR canon.
We can even assume Matt gave up the power and eventually gave it to Tommy since Tommy is the Bat in the sun green ranger too
See I really liked it too I'm just confused though because it wasn't like the rules of the rangers is no one can know your identity and you can't initiate a fight or like something like that you can't make the fight worse than what it was going to be like if you defeat the enemy and they retreat you can't follow after them or something like that or was that just the thing they did for the movie ? Because when they said you will give back the dagger or I will force you to give back the dagger shouldn't that have made one of the power rangers lose their ability?

@@TokuNorth Oh I didn't know that was sordon's rules I thought that was just the rules of the rangers in general like zordon was following those rules from somebody else I didn't know that he just came up with them on the fly

certain ranger teams aren't concerned with secret identities and such..Zordon in general is very strict but makes exceptions if the rangers happen to be found out

Honestly, the fact that he's still willing to fight and protect people, even when he's scared out of his mind? That right there is more than enough evidence to show that he's fit to be a Power Ranger.

Believe it or not back in the early days of the comics they originally wanted him to become the silver ranger modeled after Titanus but they couldn’t figure out a way to work it in the story

It sucks that Tommy lost those powers due to having a limited amount of energy with his Dragonzord Power Coin. In all honesty he lost his power due to the producers running out of Japanese Super Sentai Green Ranger footage.

Actually with the Master Morpher Tommy is able to morph into all his past Ranger incarnations including Green, White, Turbo Red, and Dino Thunder Black.

@@1eyeddevil929 motifs don't matter that much in the comics now, because we've had new zord combinations in the form of cobbled together zords, and we had the white tiger zord combine with the red omega zord so anything can go in the comics.

Ngl, Matthew Cook has the heart of a Ranger. I believe he is a good successor to Tommy in being the Green Ranger looking forward to his adventures and trials.
I think he'll have his own comic book series soon enough along with Sterling. Their group is like the Agents of SHIELD version for Mighty Morphin'

I really would've liked it if a de-aged Grace was the new Green Ranger, as it'd be *awesome* to see her back in action again, and fighting alongside the team.
I grew up as one of the biggest PR fans in the early 90's and now tha I have seen the new action figures from MMPR and this comic run I'm having a huge trip down memory lane. Those new figures are crazy detailed makes me wish I was a kid lol

Yes, we've seen the White and Green Ranger morph simultaneously in the show. Rita had cloned Tommy & imbued him with the Green Ranger energy that she had previously purged from the real Tommy.

I've never been a power rangers fan before, watched the shows or read the comics, but I randomly decided to pick mighty morphin up after hearing that what came before (mmpr) was good and now it's my favourite monthly book

I absolutely adore this! It's just like watching reruns of the old show, but better. While they didn't use any characters from the old show to be the new green, I'd say Cook's a pretty good fit. It even lines up with the usual formula: friend of the rangers figures out the secret, eventually becomes a ranger himself. Also, despite tensions, I love that Promethea isn't outright hostile to Zordon and the other rangers. She still acknowledges them as heroes and necessary to protecting the planet from the likes of Zed. She mostly has a grudge against Zordon for what happened to the others who became rangers on her team, and not without good reason. But Zordon isn't the same head in a tube that she met, and his new rangers all but saved the multiverse. I'm hoping they'll inevitably join forces in the future. On a somewhat unrelated note, I'm ecstatic that this series is continuing. Boom Studios! removed their app from the app store, for my phone at least, so I've not been able to follow the story anymore. The longer this carries on, the better.
Hey Arris, correction on your beginning statement, actually Jason the red ranger was infused with the powers of the green ranger for a brief moment in the series if you look back at shows history. Great video though

Actually there was an episode of MMPR I believe it was season 2 where Tommy was cloned and the green and white rangers did battle each other.

I had my suspicions of Matt when the new green was introduced, but I never really put much stock into the thought. Although, in the end he does make the most sense. Hell, at one point, I was thinking it could have been Skull or even Justin.

The Green Ranger was always the coolest Power Ranger. He had the coolest looking suit (the Gold Dragon Shield). Also who doesn’t love the Dragonzord!

Actually, The Mighty Morphin Green and White Rangers fought against each other and together in Season 2. The 3 part episodes titled " The Return of The Green Ranger". And Fun fact, the 1995 Movie was shot right after these episodes. You should check these episodes, they are 1 of my very favorites, and the fighting between Green and White rangers is really MOREPHENOMINAL.

Matt is a bad choice to be the new Green Ranger. He's done nothing but raise flags of distrust.
He lashed out at Kimberly when he discovered that she was a Power Ranger and gave her an ultimatum. Then he developed PTSD when Rita kidnapped him and cloned him. Finally, his Green Ranger powers are stabilized by the Green Psycho Ranger's dagger, which was given to him by Grace Sterling the MMPR Red Ranger (1969) who I trust even less.
He's a fucking time bomb.
I think matt represents the mind of the youth today and its writers,who think that exposing everything and that everyone is a hero mentality is gonna come back to bite him in the ass later.
