Drywall corner beads are a very useful element to add to almost every outer corner of a new or restored wall; on new walls the less flexible ones like metallic or plastic like in this video are very crucial to give that final strait look to the wall. Follow these simple steps to install yours and finish your project successfully. Thank you for watching my videos and please subscribe.
Good video. I am a firm believer in going that extra step and using the mesh on that corner bead seam.
Eric Sanchez I agree, thanks for watching my videos
Thank you. Love the advice to put the mesh tape over the edge to add strength
There's some good insider information here. I never considered the tape on the bead before. Thanks!
My pleasure
Thank you. You did a good job of explaining how the corner bead might get twisted as it's installed. I'll be on the lookout for this.
Very well done! I look forward to more videos! You explained everything so simply that even a beginner like me feels confident!
This video really helped me a lot with using that plastic edging and your adding the fiberglass tape is a great idea I will use . Thank you AJB
Muchas gracias! Excellent video. You answered all my questions.
Thanks, Hugo. I have no Idea what Im doing and was afraid I might have bought inside corner bead, not outside corner bead based on how the vertex flares out,not in. But Now I know I have the right stuff and am more confident in how to install this.

I would highly recommend using vinyl drywall corner bead spray adhesive (3M "61") Home Depot sells it, $7/can. First spray 1-2" of the drywall (where the 90 corner is) then the vinyl corner bead. Push it in smooth out with fingers for bond. And you're done. Much faster then nails or screws. And works when you have metal studs or on soffits where there isn't any framing. Try it you'll, love it.
Spray adhesive will pop off if you accidentally hit the corner
Awesome info. Thanks!
My pleasure!

Thank you Nicholas
Thank you!!!
Great video thank you
You're welcome
Thanks
I use a staple gun and not screws bacause staples use just the right amount od pressure so it doesn't bow out.
Awesome video! Very well explained and informative. been wondering how to install one of those. Seems simple enough. I was wondering if there was a specific type of drywall mud you prefer over others? Figured I'd ask the man with the experience!
CompMan98 The mud used for regular drywall applications is just fine, just add a bit of water and mix so it takes a smooth texture
I use staples it works great screws some times makes it to firm that will brake.... everyone work different I guess ...
Can you install this over a already painted wall that has chips taken out of it and looking to make it look better?
I'm going to do this now on my sons music studio. How did I find this? I'd like people to share with me how they find my videos. I searched on "plastic corner bead installation". I will share with you my results and credit you in a video I produce this week. Thank you Hugo!!!! Nice video. Subscribed/Liked.
I just searched how to install corner bead, thank you
Instead of screw it in, can you use a staple gun and staple the corner bead in and still get the same result? I saw other people using staple instead. Thank you!
as long as the staples are lo ong enough I think they would work
Tous Shong Just mud the whole corner push the corner bead on wipe it then just bed it. We never apply mesh tape on them either.
Trim tex glue works best for plastic bead.

That's why the corners is cracked
BAD JOB!
Of course
Hugo I went into a refurbished house the dry wall corners were crumbling... trying to figure out if a corner bead wasn't applied. House is for sale... any thoughts on this. Thanks
You can find other kind of corner bits made to be installed on corners already finished so they can be fixed to look straight. I will make one video about it
Hello, there are corner bead tapes that can help you make those corners better, just cut the corner tape to the right height, apply some compound and install the tape. Here is the link to get it: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LNKNY4/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B000LNKNY4&linkCode=as2&tag=hugocorrea-20&linkId=9656d54c37276377476ecfe1f78a7f98
3m contact spray !! No screws
Dont use any screws just use mud
Hmmmmm I saw a nice pinching tool to create dents on the metal and use them as grappling hooks! Very cool tool
Corner bead is a pain in the ass. Just saying. Good tips tho
Where do you get these beads from. I've been using flex tape and if I continue to do so, I'll kill myself
Home Depot and Lowes
