Some players like me forget to see all the options sometimes so this was the best way of doing things. I liked it.
I read this as the Traveler assuming there would be no information seeing as how the last three gods didn't have any either.
I think in the 3.0 quest ending (where we talked to her as Katheryne) we already asked and she knew nothing :( but now she has access to tree data :)
I mean, technically we already know everything about our brother that needs to be known. They traveled the world with Dainsleif, then joined the abyss and became their leader, now teleports around the world trying to revive Kaenriah. What else is to know?
@@Laerei the end of the siblings journey, what they experienced throughout the nation's, what tied them to a world they're not originally from (God of wisdom can't get info on your mc because they're not from this world), why the heavenly principles took your sibling in the first place.

Not a lot, but compared to the others, who kept repeating almost the same exact points, she actually gave a broader view on the sibling/relationship that each of them have to the world. Almost compares to the we will be reunited quest.
Venti: "Sorry, but I know nothing."
Zhongli: "I do know something, but I made a contract with myself to never talk about it."
Ei: "By the time I arrived, the worst of the fighting was over and I was dealing with the death of my sister so sadly I have no information for you."

To be fair, the traveler still didn't ask Venti about his/her twin or relevant information.

Well to be fair, we never asked Venti about the khaenriah incident.
There were tons of occasions where we could ask him but we didn't. Hinting that hoyo is stalling something for us.
Notice that Venti doesn't have his 2nd quest so far. Some big reveal is surely gonna happen when he does.
Well, I think if it wasn't for the contract that he made, Zhongli would've most likely told us some info that he knows about our subling. Alas, we will never know, at least not yet, I hope

I must say, the Sumeru Archon Quest series is BEST quest I've ever experienced in Genshin.
1. We some info about our sister. Finally an archon who actually helped us (thank god I saved my primos for her)
2. We had such a long quest which gave it a nice pacing and made me engaged
3. Several characters were involved and made contribution (compared to the inazuma quest)
4. Everyone's voice acting was phenomenal
5. The cutscenes and narratives were on spot. Hardly gave unnecessary dialogue.
6. Put so much emotions (Scaramouche, nahida crying, ...)
7. They made a nice buildup for scaramouche by hinting his past and everything is previous events (labyrinth event, irodori festival)
8. It's amazing that Hoyo observed the community's responses and changed the Archon quest (remember that in the Teyvat trailer, the final sumeru act title was supposed to be "amongst the pages of purana" or something)
After seeing Raiden's 2nd story quest, Xiao Chasm quest and the Sumeru archon quest series. I can't wait for the next quests that Hoyo makes. The only thing I'd get mad about is if they make LIMITED quests like the stove god quest, imposter albedo, irodori festival, the false sky quest, ...
They don't have to make the entire events permanent, but at least keep the story quests, they add so much lore and engagement to the story.
i hope they'd made an archon quest where scaramouche and ei meet. it'll be awkward
you're wrong about the 8th part, this archon quest isn't the end since the ending of that same archon quest is still "truth amongst the pages of purana".

@@mwuahugz1115 Ei and Scaramouche are completely tied together so eventually yes. But after seeing a few leaks, the meeting may happen but their interaction won't be what we expect
It really fucking helps that they didn't pack 70% of the questline into the first patch, splitting it up into 3 parts over 3 updates made the story really digestible and it never felt like it dragged on. 3.0 and 3.1's parts of the archon quest felt wholly different from each other (but both well written and interesting) but they combined for the finale, bringing all of the characters together and ending well, while opening up a heap of new questions and plot points for the future, leaving us wanting the next archon quest already.
Traveler being so jaded from previous 3 Archons offerring next to nothing that neither they nor Paimon even think to ask about their sibling and then for Nahida to drop Intel bombs one after another.
1)Knows about our sisters journey
2)Knows something suss about her being a part of the world
3)Knows about the Heavenly Principles
4)Knows the Heavenly Principles was 1st Descender and we are the 4th. (No mention of Phanes?)
5)Can read the top 3 Fatui Harbinger power levels like a DBZ scouter!
6)Is happy to name drop next female Archon.
Special mention:
1)Literally played mind games with Scaramouche 168 times before getting serious.
2)Had a Fire sale on Gnosis, too bad we don't know which piece the Dendro Gnosis is.
3)Played quit killing yourself with the Dottore even after admitting she couldn't best him in combat.
4)Hinted at the possibility of Heavenly Principles possibly showing themselves if a Gnosis were to be destroyed as they represent its LAWS.

@@someoneinasia while possible then we could question why there is any information regarding Descenders at all. Why leave information that originally the Heavenly Principles themselves are a Descender, that part just doesn't seem to support the idea imo. It is good to make note that the Irminsul is not flawless and can be edited. A reminder that a truth is only so from a certain perspective.
We have the names of all the outlanders that have visited Teyvat so far, in order nonetheless.

And yes, I stand by this. Aloy has a freaking role in Teyvat. After all, she did say she was employed by someone (on of the Archons) for a specific task.

What also kind of shocked me was to find out that the first 3 Harbingers have powers equal to the gods. Tbh it was kind of to be expected from Pierro as he's number 1. But if innocent looking Columbina (Number 3) didn't feel creepy enough, she for sure scares me now...

Just so you know traveler has now enough power to rival a gnosis powered scaramouche (which was created to use one but was later discarded) and we still have 3 elements to go this comfirms thst not only we are getting stronger but with new elements the power up is exponential
@@churchofthetea4273 actually i woldnt say they can rival a god alone yet considering they still had help from a god and their people, same thing happened with dvalin, venti helped the traveler also both jean and diluc, andrius they got help from razor albight andrius is a spirit and no longer a god, osial and his wife 2 times got help from ninguang and military of liyue and 2nd with shenhe a person who was indeed can rival a god, then ei with the help of miko and using all of the ambition of the vision bearers to fuse with the traveler and now here where nahida was able to give them the help they need through the akasha from the help of the people. im just saying that the traveler is strong but i dont think they can actually rival a god even in their current state like they have fought both harbingers but they were in a level that the traveler can handle i mean considering how they had their full power when facing the sustainer they got beat up quick so i kind of feel like as cheesy as this statement is, like all anime tropes, the friendship that the traveler has made along their journey is their true power and would ultimately beat the big bad of the story

But the the youngest one who was born after the cataclysm gives us so much info on our sibling
To be fair, this may be among the stuff she got from trading with the Doctor.
1)Buer has no memory of any contracts made during the time of Khanriah's fall nor did her past self Greater Lord Rukhadevatta have any firsthand knowledge as she was defending the Irminsul from corruption. So she isn't technically under contract to remain silent.
2)It's actually odd that the Irminsul has information on the Travelers sister since the Irminsul has no data on the Traveler. It's only because somehow Lumine is a part of Tehvat where the Traveler is listed as the 4th Descender.
3)Clearly whatever Lumine was up to on her tour of the world and as a part of Khanriah while Aether was asleep changed the timeline somehow I'm guessing. Either that or something just as suss has happened which we can only guess at. Like how Lumine is being hidden from Irminsul currently.

Well Zhongli literally signed a non disclosure agreement and as the god of contracts he’s essentially has his hands tied. If he breaks his own contract it’s essentially death for him is what it sounds like or something close to that… not saying it’s right just what happened… and Venti was probably fighting Durin during that time period and Venti was recovering for almost 500 years after that . So frankly Venti knows “some” things but probably not the entire narrative, Zhongli has a NDA, and Ei was elsewhere when Makoto died in khanria so yeah dunno

Now that Nahida mentioned about descenders (also after learning about enka lore), I've come into conclusion that:
Primordial one is the first descender
Celestia/sustainer of heavenly principles is the second descender
Alice is the third descender
And traveler is the fourth descender
but Nahida here says that the Heavenly Principles is the first decender though..
Well… Nahida did say the heavenly principles is the first descenders is her hypothesis. So, although there’s a strongly likely hood, let’s not glue ourselves to it just yet.

Bro when I tell you my jaw DROPPED at the sibling revelation, Like why are we descenders and their not huh??! I doubt its a "sibling found the truth of the world smth smth now their from tyvat" cause that would entail that sibling WAS a descender and then stopped being considered one, but from the looks of it irminsul has been storing their memory the moment they set foot in tyvat!

I think that bp prince and princess may be lore about Venessa more than them being descendents, or from kenriah (i'm not sure ? We lack information about this, and since venti is the one talking about it, it could be Venessa)
Also, Nahida said the heavenly principles have been real quiet since 500 years (kenriah's fall), hence that's why she was free to tell everything she wanted to, whereas other archons do not know about it, and have cut ties with Celestia (Ei didn't even care about her gnosis)
Also, in Nahida's presentation, Dain says archons are no different from average people, and even some can die to a mortal, so... I think Descendants have to be really really powerful people
But what if the sibling we chosed was a creation from the other sibling that is now in the abyss ?

As we know, the abyss magic can surpass one of a god (lore wise, Albedo is one of the strongest, if not the strongest if he loses control), so I bet they could create a whole human being powerful as fuck (like... They defeated whole ass archons and we can as well, Ei being one of the strongest).
There's no way the tsarista is taking all the gnosis to access Celestia and the heavenly principles are not doing anything. She's an archon, she should not be able to do it that easily?

Could just be me, but i have the worst possible crackpot theory ever: (and i hope im totally wrong)
What if during the khanriah disaster our real sibling is still missing without us knowing? What if they are still trapped in the heavenly principle's rubics cube? and with khanriah's technology to clone beings (like albedo) made a clone of our sibling at the last moment with the resources of teyvat (since nahida said Irminsul started recording our sibling in khanriah) and soon they roamed teyvat till we woke up 500 yrs later not realizing our sibling's a fake. I mean, thinking again, the sibling we know of is with the abyss which was the formerly khanriah, and it makes sense for them being a clone to suddenly wanting to help the fallen nation take down celestia.

You were onto something, except: heavenly principles isnt who fought us in the sky; that’s just the Guardian of the principle. Lumine also had the Inteyvat flowers in her hair clip BEFORE fighting The sustainer, so something is very amiss here.
Our sibling reached the end of her journey and found the TRUTH OF THE WORLD. This might be the reason why the records inside the Irminsul is incomprehensible even for Nahida. This TRUTH might be related as well to FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE. I'm hype ☺️☺️

If the journey is unrecordable, that must mean that the abyss siblings travel was recordable and perhaps paimon is a method of observing the journey. Maybe the archons only know of the abyss sibling because it was recorded and therefore separating from paimon would make it impossible to be tracked by anyone on that entire world.
I feel like people forget that we never asked Venti about our sibling, Zhongli is under contract way before he even met us so it's understandable why he can't tell us and Ei couldn't very well tell us anything because she had been self-isolating herself for the past 500 years since Makoto died. It makes sense for us to get information from Nahida who is the God of Wisdom. She would actually know more than all of them (apart from Zhongli, but again, he is under contract not to say anything).
My theory on who the descenders are apart from Traveller and the Heavenly Principles is Paimon for one but at the same time, it could be a stretch. I actually heard of a theory that Paimon could either be one of the Moon sisters or Istaroth. It's super sus that the little floaty thing Nahida made for us was supposed to 'resemble' Paimon yet it looks like a Seelie??? Paimon is so sus. I don't think she's evil (maybe) but I cannot rule out that maybe she could be a descender too.
shes not, her memory also got deleted when nahida cleansed the irminsul tree, which made EVERYONE besides traveler who is not from this world, forget rukhadevatta. unless the other unknown descenders are still alive, theyre also the only ones who possibly could remember rukhadevatta if they ever known about her

we can bet that two of those Descenders is the Traveler and Alice(Klee's Mother). The Primodial One and the Second Who Came might be the first two.
and I know this is far-fetched, but I think the reason why the Abyssal Twin isn't counted as a Descender, and seems to have "come from this world" is because when the Heavenly Principles captured the Twins, the Traveler isn't captured the way the Abyssal sibling did. They only got their powers sealed, and chucked to that beach where we first started...the Abyssal twin is captured as a whole. Chances are, they might have been "marked," or even more crazy is, the Abyssal Twin we see isn't actually our twin, maybe just a figment? a clone? some sort of prison for the actual twin?
we'll know in the future!
anyways, this is my theory list of who might've been the Descenders.
1. The Primodial One, creator of Teyvat and Celestia.
2. The Second Who Came, overthrown the Primodial One, and took control of Celestia.
3. Alice, Klee's mother and a very dangerous and chaotic woman.
4. The Traveler, the player. Chucked to some beach in Mondstadt, and have a flying companion. Helped 4 nations, and had a brief encounter with their twin and the Abyss Order, and is left with more questions than answers. They aim to journey all seven nations of Teyvat to find those answers.
traveler wasnt chucked to the beach, the game starts 2 months or more after our traveler woke up. in the start of the game, paimon and traveler knew eachother only for 2 months at that time, so we dont really know how long our traveler was actually awake and where did they woke up

my Theory about this: the sibling was originally the travellers counterpart from teyvat, that somehow ended up in the world of the traveller. the sea of stars may just be another name for the sea of quanta. The reason for this theory comes partly from the timing, since we had a lot of nods to honkai in the sumeru arc. (flame of kalpa, the fact that the samsara part is like a way less damaging version of honkais "the day you vanished with the stars" event, Scaramouches (void) portals during the boss fight and the (evil) thing about nahida being paired with yoimia for the banner (theresa based characters (nahida) and fireworks is kind of triggering for captains who played that event...), also the timing for an lorewise unaccounted for descender, is it alice or murata, or someone else entirely? (plot twist if everyone expects a Himeko based design and we will get a Flamescion based one, just to f*** with us, all honkai players know thats something mihoyo would actually do)

If I remember correctly, people in Teyvat were told that celestia were the first rulers of Teyvat (paimon mentioned this during the enkanomiya world quest).
I'm not sure if I remember this correctly, the Fatui may not have visited Enkanomiya. So far as I remember, the book Sun and Moon is the only existing material that mentioned that Phanes was the first Descender.
If the Fatui haven't been to Enkanomiya (doesn't know about the existence of Phanes), and they believe that the Heavenly Principles (Unknown God, 2nd Who Came) is the first descender. Then who are the 2nd and 3rd descenders as they are known.
Or maybe the Heavenly principles might be Phanes. Assuming that shades of Phanes are also considered to be Descenders but came as one with Phanes.
My theory is that 3 of the shades themselves became the rulers of Celestia (betraying Phanes) and became the Heavenly Principles as they mentioned only Istaroth came to help the Enkanomiya people while the rest ignored them.
In the webtoon, We also see 3 figures in Venti's flashback when Venessa asked him about Celestia. They could be the 3 shades and none of them seem to look like the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles.
My conclusion is that the 1st heir we see in the Battle Pass cutscene was not the sibling but was the 2nd Who Came. She was tricked (the 3 shades tricked her) to becoming the queen (sustainer of heavenly principles) in the kingdom of darkness (teyvat). Something I want you all to notice, when we first battled the Unknown God, she reversed the blast that occured when we attack her like she rewinded time itself. Just some food for thought.
Venti being the one narrating the story means he's hinting something to us as he codes messages to us with metaphors and poems.
Do remember, that villain sibling woke up earlier than the playable sibling. As Unknown God is 'tricked' by the shades and control Teyvat, perhaps villain sibling brought playable to attempt to kill Unknown God and free Teyvat from gods and bring abyss up to Teyvat as she 'belongs' in the world. Something on her journey made her change her mind about Teyvat altogether and we're there to figure it out. Her belonging to this world also makes one question: "Are they actually siblings, or is it a title?"
It may be that siblings have something to do with the world organization, and likely there are many versions of worlds like layers of hell in some mythological hell literature.
It may also be, that Unknown God is ally.

A thought occurs to me… is it possible that someone or something altered the Sibling’s memories, the same way that the world’s records were altered? Maybe the Sibling was made to believe that they and Traveler were natives of Teyvat, of that country that Celestia destroyed 500 years ago, and that’s why they’re siding with the Abyss. If someone’s able to meddle in the world’s records, then it’s possible that they were powerful enough to tamper with the memories of someone sealed away and weakened.

I always imagined Folcalor as an happy outgoing character but turns dead serious whenever she's in court.
So Nahida telling us that she has a "unique" personality is very boggling.
It seems that she's not antagonistic. But she can be if you crossed her.
I imagine she may be somewhat arrogant and hold pretty much everyone to her incredibly high standards.
I also think the Hydro Archon is not an agreeable person, as per Rhodeia of Loch (Oceanid's) lore, she does not agree to the current hydro archon's ideals, so she self-exiled to Liyue.
Since we have info we want from nahida and she is not in the war, then the next thing i want to expect is "reasoning and rational" for khaenriah disaster from focalor since that's what god of justice is all about. Probably she try to carefully give info(hopefully not hopeless like the archon that tell nothing) since "she's aware not to make an enemy toward the divine"
Now I just had another theory. Alice is one of the descenders! It actually makes so much sense! Since throughout the story so far Alice is known to create items from another world, meaning her inspirations comes from her experience in another world. Also Alice has one similarity with traveler which is she likes to travel and has longevity. Since their are four descenders not including our other sibling. Could also mean we would meet them in the future as if the similarity is one thing about the descenders would mean they would have enough live span to survive till now.
My other theory from this is that One of the descender is currently a fatui harbinger. Since the fatui supposedly named four. meaning they are aware of their existence. So it wouldn’t be surprising that one of the four descenders is currently on their side. A powerful asset as a Fatui Harbinger that we have to face in the future.
After I was done with this quest I totally forgot the goal of us being in Sumeru in the first place was to get info on our twin, so Kusanali suddenly bringing it up surprised me.
Somehow I feel like it foreshadowing that the other siblings is a as artificial lifeform after the original one die or something.
i mean at this point in the story, we are just gathering intel about the world and some trails our sibling left behind for answers, since we already know where they are, and its up to them whether they want us to meet or not lol. this info nahida gave is very useful, and now we even have more questions.
Until now, Sumeru had the least involvement of Celestia compared to other regions. But in the end, Nahida threw info bombs revealing more than just murals and all we saw in previous regions.
I can imagine the traveler going to the 3 archons and saying "this is called INFORMATION bitch".

So I had this theory from a couple of months ago
I think Aether’s people were originally from Teyvat, but ended up fleeing from Teyvat, because in some way they were enemies with Celestia. Then when they were found by the heavenly principles they got destroyed with the planet they hid on, and so the twins set off on a journey from world to world. So when the heavenly principles found them in Teyvat, she said “The arrogation of mankind ends now” because they would be the last ones alive from that group of people
I also think Aether has a special connection with the leylines. I don’t believe it’s because he’s from the world. Alloy’s not from Teyvat, but she doesn’t manipulate elements like how Aether does. What if his ancestors were all connected to the leylines, like maybe being the leylines themselves and are all deep in the abyss, dead corpses or trapped alive, and are in the form of that tree that’s the source of all leylines. Maybe it’s partly why Lumine wants to overthrow Celestia
I also did like how traveler’s always the one to see everything unfolding in Teyvat along his journey. Only he (and Paimon) would have memories of a lot of things, such as Ruu and the sun children themselves. And even now Xiao quoted what Zhongli said, something about the traveler will always remember
Here my thoery about the 2 first Descenders
The first one is actually Phanes the Primordial One, that was also an outlander that created the human and sealed the 7 sovereign dragon
The second one is indeed the Heavenly Principles (aka The Second Who came (Byakuyakoku Collection) and the Unknown God)
The third and fourth are the travelers
That thing help a lot to know more about Phanes which is way more important that we think

i just like to think that teyvat is in it's own samsara loop, hence why "the sky is fake" and that the twins may not actually be twins but rather 1 person if the abyss twin is supposedly from teyvat and trying to escape/fight back but the traveler isn't and is a descender. celestia would be akin to the sages while the sustainer of heavenly principles functions something like the akasha, a tool to make sure nobody escapes. also because we know that the gnoses and visions are tools used by celestia to monitor the people of teyvat and kheanri'ah prospered without a god meaning the heavenly principles or celestia or whatever couldn't monitor them which is how they were able to discover the truth of the world or "lift the veil of sin" and were thus destroyed. and now the current archons are slowly giving up or losing their gnoses to snezhnaya whom apparently are aware of the truth of the world and are trying to rebel, likely to cause another cataclysmic event...and then going onto the next cycle of samsara except the history would mention something like the destruction of snezhnaya instead of of the nation of khaenri'ah.

I'm seeing quite a few comments saying that Venti, Zhongli, and Ei are bad archons for not being able to give any information on the traveler's sibling. So I'm going to try to defend them
Venti probably got drunk while mourning his dead friend (the bard) and forgot. It can happen to anyone.
Zhongli made a contract with someone to not reveal anything regarding Kan(forgot the spelling lol)
So why would Zhongli break a contract when he's LITERALLY the GOD OF CONTRACTS.
Ei said that by the time she arrived, the worst part of the fighting was over, and she was also mourning over the loss of her twin sister. How can anyone have time for anything else when you found out that your family just died during a war?
Those are my opinions. I just don't like it when people hate a character without understanding the reasons why they couldn't provide anything for the MC. (Don't go hating on me now. I like all the archons so far.)
I didn't need this precious cinnamon roll to answer any questions for her to be the best Archon, but the fact that she is the only one to actually give us answers, and has been more than willing to help from the beginning, just cements it.
The only archon that have the answer about mystery of traveler right even though it's not completely but it's still great.
Last quest: "The Ultimate Fate"
Could be fake sky meaning history write by victor, all current history we know either be change/erase by the Victor. And y paimon said traveller isn't 1st time in teyvar meaning we be lead by paimon on journey, paimon must know something but hidden it to traveller

Makes me wonder if the Sibling you choose might actually be a version of the other sibling from a parallel universe. The two of them just recognize each other as their "twin" but in reality they're just the same person.
So, there's a new threat, one that can change someone's fate, i guess that's what Lumine meant by "war with destiny" since her destiny was changed right when she was close to the end, aka her fate. It's also doesn't seem to be what the heavenly principles would do, they only intervene when it comes to destiny but not this kind, she won't do it for good but only for keeping the heavenly principles the top of the world, they won't go as far as to completely obscure someone's fate.
It probably also has ties to why our sibling is called the abyss "princess" or "prince"
Also the Descenders, since Traveller is the 4th descender and the heavenly principles is thought to be the 1st descender, i can guess the 2nd or 3rd Descender would be Fischl based on her description where she claims to be from the world "immernachtreich" which would make it funny bc if she is one of the Descenders, she would be in monstadt questions "WHY THE FUCK DOES NOONE REMEMBER GREATER LORD RUKHADEVATA"... Only if she knows about the greater lord that is
Tho from the golden apple archipelago, and also from her vision, she could be from this world but only with a soul companion since she has Oz
Also from what the records say based on Nahida's research, Khaenri'ah wasn't built by our sibling, our sibling was the one who suddenly appeared at Khaenri'ah. So the one who rules over Khaenri'ah who would probably be the abyss king or queen is probably one of those Descenders too

Since Descenders aka the traveller who is outside of Teyvat was able to remember about Rukhadevata, then it's Descenders who would remember about Rukhadevata, as for our sibling, i don't know if he/she would remember it bc he/she is out of this world but at the same time from this world, i don't know what kind of power would be able to rewrite history where our sibling is from this world, but i think that's another goal of ours, save our sibling from whatever this fate changing entity can be
