I tend to think i've had my time in the sun and now I just want to make sure my kids can have a good start in life and i'd never put myself before them, it's wrong on so many levels. I used to see these street kids in the Philippines with European features, like Italian or German. They may have fathers who don't even know they exist which is so sad. Imagine your son or daughter out there in the night all dirty and begging. No way to ever meet papa. It was heartbreaking.

@@thaitalkwithdan I know a guy that visited his friend in a rural part of Thailand he ended up marrying a local women judging by her pictures age 19 to 21 when he was about 45 after a wedding ceremony and paying her father money and some ceremony where he upset everyone basically he was given some food to eat and then he was supposed to give it back but he have some to the dog instead once he realised what he done I'm not sure if this is premeditated but he basically run away his friend was Furious as he now lived in the local area and was constantly phoning him my friend tried to claim that he did not understand they were getting married which everyone know was a lie but in a legal term he never got bothered by ever again it's not like he comes back to the UK and the woman had in the legal right to his assets but I don't think I'll ever be going back to Thailand again not sure if it was a legally binding marriage there or not

Why would you fall in love with a bar girl 🤔. I met a Scottish man at a bar when I was in Aberdeen. He asked if I believed in the potency of Voodoo since I was from Nigeria. Before I could start on my treatise on the nuances of such practices, he told me of his best friend (B) who was about 40yrs old married with two boys. B was a drilling engineer with Mobil and got an offshore gig somewhere in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
On their days off, the workers went to a local Bar where B met a 20yr old bar girl who rocked his world and B fell hopelessly in love.

I’m am an American and it makes no sense to me why a man would pay for a wife like that. Why??? There is no guarantee that she will be a good wife to you. There is no guarantee that she won’t cheat and leave you? There is no guarantee of anything except you will be the one providing for her and her family. I don’t see any benefit to the man at all. Can anyone break it down to me please. What am I missing?
He made a crucial mistake. He forgot to lose his passport (Thai custom stamp) when he got back to Island. If his Irish wife found that passport....it would of been "KUPUT" for him, :).

What a delusional moron that guy was, to think that he owed any sympathy or consideration to the Thai girl, . So clueless to even when realizing what a ridiculously impossible scenario he had walked himself into, but could STILL not realize that she had NO real interest in him and it was all a scam. Had he he somehow managed to even follow through on the ridiculous commitments he was making, she and the family would just drain him of all of his finances, while simultaneously finding ways to cheat on him, and eventually dumping him. Surely he also didn't consider that he would likely owe some form of Child Support to his wife that would accelerate his financial destruction and her dumping him. He would just be financially drained husband number whatever. Instead he still contacts her to see "how she's doing"

Its not the bargirls fault. Its very much the men's fault. Most of these men have personal lives that are a crash waiting to happen long before they ever get to Thailand. Most if not all are in short broken, regardless if by their choices or someone else's (spouses). Most didn't and have not dated a lot, got married early, can't/don't want to make the best of the marriage, then go looking for something to fill that void. I personally know several men that are married have one of the following- the women are #1 never satisfied no matter what you do for them. #2 the woman is verbally abusive, #3 the men are trapped for fear of paying child support. #4, the men themselves have had unrealistic expectations of marriage and their wife I could go on and on. They are all spiritually lost looking to fill that void that makes them fill empty and hollow. Some turn to alcohol, others drugs, for some men- its women.
It's not the bar girls fault.

Worked a 12 month contract at a clinic in the Philippines. While I was there, it came to light that two of the nurses were working a scam with half a dozen Filipina. The girls would turn up at the Clinic for their "treatment" and an invoice would be issued. Needless to say, the Western males would pay the bills. Interestingly, the $6 vitamin shot turned into a $300 invoice. Now each girl would come in with six to eight Western guys over a few weeks. They didn't see a problem with this ..... The reply was "They f**k, they pay".
Yep, definitely risk your marriage, children, and money for the sake of getting your end away.
