Was looking to mount the surfboard and snowboard on 2016 GSA. This is exactly what I imagined and I figured someone tried it. Looks good, thanks for the video
Thanks for sharing this, tried it out yesterday. Do you have any concerns about the way the strap wraps on the inside of the fairing? Im unfamiliar with what the wires/cables are inside there and wondered if there's any risk in putting pressure on those cables.
Perfect, I might be shipping my R1250GSA to Hawaii and was wondering if it could easily carry a surfboard... looks like I got the answer to my questions with a great demo! Thanks! One quick question (Okay...maybe more) though... how is the heat from the engine? Have you noticed any heat damage on the board? Would you recommend using a daybag to protect the board? Oh and you mentioned that longboards are fine too... do you notice that the board sometimes slide backward as you can't put the straps between the fins? Thanks a lot :)
Kinouille K I usually have mine in a day bag. I didn’t even really notice any of the wax melted. I have had up to a 10’2” on with no issues. As long as the widest portion of the board is in between the straps and they are tight it shouldn’t be an issue.
@@2141pete Sweet! Thanks a lot. I didn't notice until a friend told me but on your bike the exhaust is on the left side. On my R1250GSA it's on the Right side. So I might have to put the board on the left side instead (not as great for getting on and out of the bike but oh well...). Loved the video and you had a great assistant for it :).

you seem like a great father, thanks for the idea! Trying to attach a 8 foot foamy to a 125 cc Honda cb125f LOL
thanks! and please pass on sincere thanks for the great job by the camera girl!
How fast are you able to go with the board attached? Is there a certain speed where it starts to mess up the aerodynamics and makes it too unstable?
It was good well past any speed limit you would run into.
Keep O'side clean!

Cool video. Thanks!
Is there enough space for the right foot? Or do you have to adjust a little bit?
vaibhav bhat there is tons of room.
