I worked on the Brit Awards this year. She was the only performer that made all the backstage crews stop in their tracks and find a monitor to huddle round. These are people who are used to being around all sorts of performers, and yet they all just had to stop what they were doing and listen.
Literally world class performance, and an absolute honour to be there listening live.
Now that, was a phenomenal experience.

I honestly think it’s because when she released her album most of the people she was up against released their albums after she did so it’s still fresh and recent I wasn’t surprised she didn’t win a lot of them just because of how long ago her album was out

The fact she’s sitting down and can still belt like that is amazing in itself
Adele's music is not my typical genre, but when I want music in this style there's no doubt she's a go-to. Her voice has such a depth and richness to it that can't be denied. And while it's impressive enough to hear the studio version.... it's so much more impressive to hear her perform live and hardly be able to tell the difference. That kind of talent is so rare these days.
Adele just writes what she lives/feels. Incredible lyrics accompanied by amazing melodies/orchestrations. You can't help not to feel for/identify with her because we all have these feelings one time or another.She is a very rare, talented living legend that has an amazing capacity to sing live.

It's actually sad that these days when we see a singer who sings exactly the same as the studio version we get so impressed. We get so used to edited voices of untalented people that when beautiful voices like Adele's come out we cannot believe it.
"Untalented people" is a big and risky expression. If this people were untalented they wouldn't be succesful. I love Adele, but it's easy for someone who just sing to sound very similar to the studio version, I would like to see her dancing and singing at the same time...

It is a shock to me that Adele's live performances sometimes sound better than the studio versions. But i think the secret to Adele, and not so secrete at all, is that the fact she writes her own songs allows her to manipulate each performance to whatever she wants... their is no expectation but her own, and that's precisely what she delivers. Adele you're truly amazing.
