If you ever feel bad about being rejected, just know that I asked this girl out in 8th grade on valentines day and she said "hell no" and proceeded to go on a long rant about why she would never date me. Mind you, this happened in front of out entire english class.

Same. It is indeed weird even to me who’s in their 20’s. I have never once in my life seen a person who was mentally an adult when they are still 18-20. Just because society says it’s legal doesn’t always make it fine. Age-of-consent laws don’t reflect teenage psychology. In addition to that, you either JUST graduated from highschool or is still in highschool, and some older people probably thirstly waited for you to be over the age of a minor. It’s actually pretty creepy. You need a period of rest. Just like how it’s weird for you to immediately go out and post-breakup date someone else right after ending a serious relationship (maybe according to society, it’s totally fine since it isn’t considered cheating, but it’s still unhealthy because you may be rebounding when an average person would have not fully gotten over their ex mentally after a breakup from an impactful relationship). Maybe that’s a crappy analogy. However, my point is, your physical age or your appearance is pointless when you are not even fully, mentally grown as a person or is mentally broken. Plus, in places like America and in certain countries in Asia, why would the drinking age be older than 18-19, because even the most basic-ass laws know teenagers are irresponsible af whether they are a minor or not. Moral of the story: You’re not fully considered as an adult until your late 20’s or until you are old enough to rent your own car. Sheesh, most kids want to be treated like an adult so fast even when they are not ready at all. If you are actually an adult, you pretty much hate being one to begin with.

StOrY TiMe, so I had this BIG crush on this boy and he always played basketball and he is good at it to.
