Ok sooo I have never thought of a spider crawling into my ears while sleeping! Just one more thing to keep me up at night! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 These are super adorable and a very good idea! We watch the bats fly around in the evening just before the sun goes down in and around the trees. They are so quick and a thrill to watch. I've never seen them up close but how cute!! Thank you so much for sharing! 💞
Great video. TY for sharing. Your life stories could be my own 💙 My childhood fears were the inspiration for my PhD Dissertation: Children's Fears and Coping Strategies... although many fears in adulthood are much the same.... You are doing it just as specialists in the field would advise - researchers have labeled it Forced Participation - you "force" yourself (NOT others forcing you) to participate in overcoming your fears - at your pace in your way. I too use art to cope; my current journal has a spider too :)
That is amazing, Deb! I am so glad you contribute to children overcoming their fears, it's such an important role! And I'm glad to hear I'm on the right track, I'll keep pushing myself into participation with spiders, I'd love to be fully over this phobia!!
my aboslute fobia is tornados. second comes spiders and if i had to thing of anything else maybe perhaps grasshoppers. Maybe ill make them cute! my kiddos are terrified of those huge stink beetles. My husband and i recently walked up to a rattlesnack on a hike trail a few weeks ago also, we chose to walk back down the trail lol. That bat you painted is super adorable, they do kinda remind me of puppies.
@@mattiekitty we have had a few tornadoes in my area but nothing extreme. I used to live in a place where there were more often and I’ve been stuck in about 3 tornados with close calls. So maybe that’s where the fear stems from.
Glad you like the bat! Those stink bugs are definitely creepy, and frankly grasshopper legs remind me too much of spider legs for comfort, so I get it!! Tornadoes would be terrifying, I don't know how to make that cute lol!! Stay safe girl! ❤️❤️❤️
@@CreatingCuteArt your spider is so cute too! Grasshoppers are cute as long as the don’t jump on me. Yes it would be tough to make the tornado cute unless I turn it into a cartoon version almost like Tasmania devil off of Loony tunes.
These are adorable!! I love the snake's glasses, makes me think of a librarian! I'm scared of swans (they're too quiet and they don't care about personal space, not a fan!) so making them cute is gonna be a challenge haha
Omg I have never heard of a swan fear, I guess I haven't seen enough of them to know they have those issues! But man oh man the painting would be fabulous!!
That bat!❤️ Two years ago I did a challenge and one of the prompts was "something that you hate". I actually draw a cartoonish lizard but I still hate them😂
Aww hahaha! I love love love lizards! I had a pair at one point growing up, Lizzie and Crevis, and they were in love! Crevis would put his arm around Lizzie and they would snuggle and nap under their heat lamp! They never snuggled me, but I loved that they loved each other 😂❤️🤗❤️
Great video! I've lived in way too many basement suites up here on our rainforest coast to fear spiders (although in Australia, yikes, I don't know what i'd do), I have the reputation as a 'Spider relocator!" lol I'm a superhero to my kids! lol..ok but let's see...my phobia...cable cars.. like air trams and ski lift stuff...ohhh how I HATE being suspended in cable cars, yike!!
Oh I'm so so lucky I can block out all risk on those gondolas in the Colorado mountains. I don't know why I can block out actual, real risk in that situation while superimposing total fake, made up risk on a basic house spider in suburbia 🤣😂!! The Great Spider Relocator would be very welcome here!! 🤗❤️🤗❤️
Sooo cute, especially the bat! What a great idea. I guess I have to paint some bridges now, but how to make them cute? Maybe lots of flowers and monkeys swinging from the rafters lol.
I get you. But...the final part of that scene was when Harry conjured up a dementor. That would be so me. Paint a cute spider and then the next time I saw one in real life, it would be this ginormous tarantula chasing me through my house. 🤣
Loved seeing your spider, snake, and bat they are all so very cute. The only thing like this that I’m afraid of at that phobia type level is spiders definitely. I’m afraid of them for exactly all the reasons that you mentioned especially the fact that they scurry SO very fast and can go in what seems like every direction at once almost 😅. 😂
YES!!! You get it!! My husband thinks I'm nuts and tells me they don't care about me, they aren't hurting anyone, and it's just something at a basic level that screams "DANGER!!" in my mind when I see one scurrying!
For me it's dolphins and mirrors. When I was younger, a bunch of dolphins swam really close to me and I was afraid one might land on me. Mirrors are just wrong.
I'm absolutely loving the comment section, and this is a perfect example of why. This is so interesting!! I'm sorry you have to encounter mirrors on a regular basis since they're all over, and I will agree that at night I am terrified of them because they somehow summon ghosts. Dolphins you should be able to mostly avoid, so that's good!!
I love this idea! And omg that bat is so cute to me. I love bats, and also I had snakes as pets when i was a kid too. Do you think I should do a painting of my accounting teacher since he represents my current fears? 🤣
spiders and snakes are our friends! (ok most of them are, there are a few I wouldnt deal with lol would never hold an african rock python 😝) yep just keep walking by when confronted by a rattler, keep a distance and carry on. i use to have the oddest phobia, maggots freaked me right out but from watching Animal Aid videos and watching them clean out old wounds on street dogs full of maggots I'm ok now
I always had arachnophobia too but idk I recently started tolerating them. I know they eat bugs and they aren’t going to hurt me, so I don’t mind seeing them in the house now. As long as they don’t get too big! 🤣
As silly as it sounds, a few years ago i saw a mouse run under our washing machine and it freaked me out so much. I wouldnt go in, i was getting sick so much and lossing hair, my mom had to come and help me put sticky traps all over the home and with every little sound i would have a panic attack. I had to get my cousin to come get the mouse that got stuck and then a few days later another one. Even a few years later i still freak out about noises and i have learned what every little noise is coming from and still have traps all over to check every so often and if its moved i would freak out and my hubby has to calm me down. On windy days i have to remind myself ill be hearing more noises then normal. I havent watched any shows or movies that has one in it since also.
Great idea!
It was fun! The bat was my favorite!

Lol! So sorry to put that in your head 😂!! I would love to watch bats like that. I think they are magical!
@@CreatingCuteArt Girl no you're good! My phobia are Roaches, although I'm not sure how I would even START to make them look cute! 😆🥰

Thank you!! I actually painted one more fuzzy spider after this video was already recorded, so he didn't make it in, but I really loved the series!!

That’s a cute idea to turning something you are afraid of into art. It’s art therapy 🤩👍🏼 the painting is totally cute

I've tried doing this before and it hasn't helped. But I have learned to coexist without wanting to burn everything to the ground. 😆
Lol! That's progress!! 😂🤗❤️
