Spencer Klavan is just as brilliant as his father Andrew Klavan, and I greatly enjoy catching his show when I can. Learning about men like Spencer helped me a great deal over the past few years as I embraced my conservative values and left the Left.
Not quite. Spencer, like so many of his generation, constantly slips into the "creaky voice" habit, also known as "vocal fry." If his voice went any deeper he would be audible only to whales. Andrew Klavan, being of my generation, does not do this, which is why he is infinitely more listenable, but they BOTH talk a great deal of sense.
There are lots of Gays who vote Republican or Independant becuase many of their parents vote that way. Growing up with either right or left leaning parents has a lot to do with how people vote.
@@secrets.295 There are a lot of guys who are gay but don't like the streotypical gay man and they also avoid the "gay community" becuase it's filled with stereotypical gay men. You would be suprised how many there are in the general population.
I like Andrew Klavan and I think Spencer is a nice young man. But listening to this conversation I feel that it is an incongruous situation. I cannot agree with a "married" couple of two men. There is something off about it and we normalize it at our own peril. Because a disordered lifestyle can only bring the person involved to spiritual darkness and society pays a price when parents portray it as harmless to young innocent minds.
I totally agree! Must be difficult for his Dad, no genuine evangelical Christian can condone SSM, it is totally unnatural as the Bible so clearly shows us. Seems like a lovely guy, I love Dave Rubin, but that one factor I cannot accept. The world has gone way past Sodom and Gomorrah and G-d’s patience cannot extend much further! Hate the sin but love the sinner, goes for every one of us. I am sure Andrew would prefer things differently, he was / is obviously a wonderful father, but had my kids turned out confused I would be asking Almighy G-d “Where did I go wrong?” And I do have gay friends whom I deeply care for, so I pray for them for their salvation…
I can feel for his father trying to deal with his son being gay and him being a Christian, that has to be hard, but God can take care of anything!!! I would not want to be in that position, my son and I have talked about it.

That can't be his real normal speaking voice. Sounds affected, like he's consciously lowering his voice to make it sound like he's a wise old man. Interesting, learned fellow -- just like his Dad, but Andrew Klavan doesn't have that deep gravely voice.
I agree with much of what these conservative thinkers say, but why do they have to speak with such disdain about someone like Lizzo and her weight? Totally ok not to like her or find her attractive, but something doesn't sit right with how often many of these folks bring up celebrity women and their weight. It's a shame because it's off-putting to some who would otherwise feel comfortable in this camp.
@@annchovey2089 They really gesture in a way and say things that are disdainful. You can make the point about healthy lifestyles without the comments and faces they constantly make. It's weird and feels yuck to me. Hardly any talk about fat men, and let's face it preteens girls are hardly growing up aspiring to look like Lizzo. The obsession feels odd.
@@suzis5767 I think people that praise her size are virtue signaling. It's not politically correct to act like you don't accept someone's lifestyle even though nobody wants to live a overweight, unhealthy life. People will act like they support something because they are afraid of the backlash if they don't.
@@annchovey2089 I understand that point. There is a big difference between praising her and just saying I dont think this is correct. They dont leave it at that. There is a lot of emphasis on how bad she and others look, how yuck, how gross. Its always about women and it's exaggerated. That's not cool. Thats my view on the matter. I have explained it now multiple times.
He not only sounds like his dad, but, they speak with the same pace and inflection.

I lost my dad in February...I miss my dad....but I miss my friend even more....
Spencer is so smart, so interesting, and SO handsome! Love this guy
He’s really insightful and comes off as ultra kind. This despite the fact that the left hates these types.
What a nice guy and so handsome!
I love everything about Andrew Klavan including his son I don’t even know him but I don’t have to😂👍💯
Spencer sounds exactly like his father and has his mannerisms!
Lovely interview. Thank you. ❤️
Refreshing to see Gay Conservative Intelligent men out there... now I don't feel so alone... too late here in Canada... we have become so Leftist.

@@patr70 Not a lot, there are some though. As a gay person I find the LGBTQ community as annoying & attention seeker. Lol.

I hear ya…
In addition to Spencer, there’s Dave Rubin and Clarkson Lawson both gay conservatives who are really good to listen to.
He sounds like his father? It is good that he has a good relationship with his father that is not easy as it sounds.
Klavan's boy is great! Just what I would've expected.

The great thing is that you don’t have to agree. It’s a happy, legal marriage irrelevant of your opinion.

What a deep, sexy voice Klavan the younger has.
Why on earth is he not married to a woman😢!?
Anything outside being yoked to the opposite sex is totally not marriage... At least not biblically.
And it's pit his dad in the spot of going against God's word to defend his son and make excuses that God would not.
Show this to people who say the folks at the DW are homophobic lol
God bless the Klavans... and congrats to Spencer and Josh
You need to read your Bible more. God does not "bless" adultery or homosexuality.
God bless? God has clearly said that man lying with man is an abomination. You literally are wishing ppl into judgment.

I thought he and his father were estranged. I thought i heard Spencer say once that Andrew wasn't his father. I'm so confused.
It’s their big gag. Andrew Klavan no relation. Its just a running joke. They’re extremely close
He talks like his dad

I thought the multiverse idea came from mystism, not science, but science has now embraced the idea, scientificaly.
I can’t help but laugh out loud every time I hear the Klavans talk. Their cringey hypocrisy-
I don't think that's what Plato says (or at least focusses on) in The Symposium. I think The Symposium more concerns courage, deeds, and valor.
I'm sure you are a nice young man and I also know that I cannot condone same sex relationships.

I don’t think the disdain is towards her weight as much as it is her popularizing an unhealthy lifestyle.
