Hey! I got a 2003 thundercat last year as my first bike (didn't know it was going to be a project at the time, but oh well) point being I fixed it up quite a bit and now I ride it almost everyday to work! CAREFUL with the clutch side Ebay lever!!! It can slip down and hang on the housing causing the clutch open a bit. Scarry stuff. One correctly sized washer (idr the size) on the lever bolt, between the lever and housing is the EZ fix 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿. GL man ✌️
Ethanol in the gas wreaks havoc on my Tcat every 2nd season when I put it away for the winter. Did a complete rebuild 2 years ago and now I have cylinder 3 not firing due to carb issues. Probably the jets are clogged. Not looking forward to tearing into the carbs again.
These videos are great.. One question, what are you taking apart at 5:24? I am im the process of cleaning my carbs on the thundercat.. waiting for parts.. don't remember taking that thing off lol thanks for the video if i don't hear from you watched the entire thing :)
cant even get my carbs off on my 03, the point where the carb connects to the seal, cant see the screws to loosen and the bolts holding the seals on the bike arent reachable🙄
I know this is 9 months later lol but I think I might need your help. I’ve replaced a lot and still won’t start. Can you help? my bike is also a zyf600r
what’s up man I have a 2000 yzf 600r, and it runs and idles good, shifts good, but it won’t go past 105 mph for the life of me bro like full throttle open highway, 3rd 4th 5th it just won’t go past 105 and 8k rpm in 4th upshifting from there is pointless
I don’t usually check the level on this style float. They are adjustable but typically if the level is off you replace the float. The repair manual is the best place for the float level I don’t know that info. Good luck with the kitty Kat!
