A male lion warrior turning into a female fox shaman/priestess is quite the stretch. I would understand Taomon, Sakuyamon (Miko mode) being for Renamon, but for Leomon?! What were they smoking?
I mean, canonically, any Digimon can evolve into any Digimon. So Agumon can become Garurumon, and then Angewomon, and then HerculesKabuterimon. The fandom just PREFERS curated lines. Also, canonically, Digimon don’t have gender. This has been canon since Tamers. They may use pronouns in translations, but they are biologically asexual. Any “gendered” characteristics such as facial hair or breasts is just the shape their data takes
