@LeadFaun well I think it's that while Nameless didn't hate his father, Gwyn felt betrayed by Nameless, see it's said nameless was a dragon killing machine and was a HUGE factor to winning the war against them. When the war was won he was crowned as a god of war because of this. However as Gwyn ruthlessly hunted down the last few remaining dragons in hiding, nameless betrayed Gwyn and sided with the dragons. It's not specified why, and it's mostly up to our headcanon. 2:21 A broken father fights the son he tried to forget, after nearly defeating him, he realized the mistake he just made and reached out to grab him, to be met with regret
The nameless king is presumed to be Gwyn's firstborn, we know that Gwyn was alive when he was banished due to the missing statues of the kings first born in Anor Londo during the time period of Dark Souls 1, and since Gwyn is the final boss in that game, he would have to be alive when the nameless king was banished.
I don't see your argument, all the lore states that gwyn was enraged after his first born son betrayed him, presumably helping the dragons during the events of DS1, and so banished him, stripped his name from the history books, took away his godhood and any position of power he once had, and removed statues that stood in his name. Not just in Anor Londo, the statues that once showed a proud figure were reduced to rubble and amongst the pile of stone you can spot a cross spear that is similar to the weapon wielded by the nameless king. I don't really understand what you're trying to say, are you saying that gwyn died before the son was banished?

“Riding heretics” ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I guess you could say the same for Gwynevere, and Gwyndolin ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I like to think bosses being able to beat each other serves a lore purpose. Meaning, the Nameless King could’ve linked/usurped the fire but chose not too.
Honestly why tf would anyone even link the fire

Honestly, Seathe should've not put all his eggs in one basket with that crystal.
2:09 the way NK was beating SC was epic as fuck. He thought he could finish the battle with an epic point blank lightening strike but it wasn't enough.
SC survived with an inch of health to slay NK
Edit: Realized SC did a little bitch slap as NK disappeared. Then SC got rekted in the final round for poor sportsmanship
Whenever I'm reminded of the strength and power of the nameless king, I always need to remind everyone: remember he's an optional boss. With no prior knowledge or wiki to help, you'd have no idea how to even get to him. That's the thing I love about him, he's 100% optional, yet they make him one of the toughest enemies in the game.
Hes kinda like elden ring’s malenia
They vaguely show you an area but dont really tell you you can go there, and if you go to this one (two for er) side area you get the tool to get there, but ds3 doesnt tell you where to use it, but you get access to a whole new area that lets you fight one of the best and hardest bosses in the game
SOC: The Dragons never told you what happened to your father.
NK: They told me enough. They told me you killed him.
SOC: No. I am your father.
nooooooooooooooooooooo
I guess the truthful response is "Yes, I am your father," given that the Soul of Cinder likely contains Gwyn as well as the chosen undead.
NK: even better for it time for some pay back
@@thegamingnecronoverlord8935 And this is why the Nooo response will not work. He will instead hiss:
Yessss.....
"But we're talking true legends... We're not fit to lick their boots."
"Gives me conniptions!"

A broken father fights the son he tried to forget, after nearly defeating him, he realized the mistake he just made and reached out to grab him, to be met with regret
LeadFaun he was literally banished and stripped of his godhood
Why are you doing this to me?! I just friggin woke up D:
The nameless king is presumed to be Gwyn's firstborn, we know that Gwyn was alive when he was banished due to the missing statues of the kings first born in Anor Londo during the time period of Dark Souls 1, and since Gwyn is the final boss in that game, he would have to be alive when the nameless king was banished.
Sorry man
I don't see your argument, all the lore states that gwyn was enraged after his first born son betrayed him, presumably helping the dragons during the events of DS1, and so banished him, stripped his name from the history books, took away his godhood and any position of power he once had, and removed statues that stood in his name.
At 0:30 they power up without attacking each other respect man respect
I thought about Pokemon battle at first 😂
But still nice
"I know you dwell within that shell, Father. I have returned. I will prove to you once and for all I am your Son...
And your Successor in all things."
I like how as soon as he enters the Gwyn phase he starts whipping.
Nameless King: Oh Look, he's about to Lighting Spear me, lmao cute
2:10 can you imagine if nameless did kill cinder with his lightning stake ? That would have been so epic and such a big comeback lol
Nameless King before the final blow:
You're just a fragment of what my father used to be.
[THRUST]
That second match was goddamn close, holy shit.
So was the first one, one hit for either! Third one was a yikes though for SoC
Third match was just Nameless King going "Fuck this."
If his lighting didn't miss 2x it would be nk win again second round
juboraj hossain I was wondering about that. His lightning ultra smite missed a few timea for some reason despite SoC just standing there

1:01 I just saw something SUPER CREEPY but, please someone tell me if they see this. It could just be the lighting, and really clever helmet design, but look at Cinder's face when he dies.
His helmet, SCREAMS, it opens its mouth and wails before it falls. I swear to god does that not look like it just came alive??
wow o.o true
Holy f... You are right!
probably a lighting thing but I see it
nah, it remains closed, tho how it shape and the lighting make it look like it changes.
I always like Cinder armor design, how it translate to many many emotion all at once. a really great design.
@@paleviolent I kept thinking this but no matter how many times I look at it, its just too uncanny. That mere lighting is in sync with animation and sound as a coincidence is too hard to accept.
Gwyn at the end of Round 2
*Slaps his son* HOW DARE YOU DISRESPECT ME BOY!!
Nk at the end of round three:
"You disrespect yourself with your weakness."
What a badass. Doesn't even link the fire.
Who would want to link it anyway?
0:52 Yeah... You just don't go on trying to hit lightning itself with a sunlight spear buddy.
The Boss AI in these games has always fascinated me. Even though bosses weren’t meant to fight each other the animations are so good it almost looks as it was intended.
2:18 - 2:30 when Gwyns theme hit as NK fell om his knees I felt that
Ok, that epic running beginning deserves its own anime music
Nothing to see here
Just a banished son casually ripping his father a new one
That grab that Soul of Cinder tried to do, I couldn't help but imagine him saying "Come here, son!" like a really joyful dad.
0:38 so nobody's gonna talk about how cool this moment was?
That initial volley from the NK each time.
If the first shot wasn't hitting SoC during the s of his wakeup animation, this would have been 3-0 in favor of NK.
Soul of Cinder : "You dare to challenge me son"
Nameless King : "I'm the true king"
"You're not my real dad!" And holy shit that last round was absolutely brutal.

NK: One day.... the age of fire will end.... on that day, You will meet one that can best all of us... even if we fought in earnest.
SoC: .......

NK: We never do.... that is why we wait.... but the moment will come.... when you will realize, that all is for that moment, for the flames of that ones will, shall light that emptiness in yours.

I like to think this is Gwyn's son coming back, not to destroy what's left of his father, but to free him. NK is one of the few examples of a compassionate being in the world of dark souls.
I dont know who would do this, but I'd love to see a choreographed and animated fight between these two gods, or at least between Gwyn and Nameless King. It'd be fucking dope as hell
Nameless:Father...
Soul of Cinder:Well met my Son! its been a long time.

Nameless king: "haha lightning goes bzubzuzuzuzuzu"
Not funny I didn’t laugh. Your joke is so bad I would have preferred the joke went over my head and you gave up re-telling me the joke. To be honest this is a horrid attempt at trying to get a laugh out of me. Not a chuckle, not a hehe, not even a subtle burst of air out of my esophagus. Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face muscles but I didn’t even feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I cannot believe anyone legally allowed you to be creative at all. The amount of brain power you must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on Earth. Get a personality and learn how to make jokes, read a book. I’m not saying this to be funny I genuinely mean it on how this is just bottom barrel embarrassment at comedy. You’ve single handedly killed humor and every comedic act on the planet. I’m so disappointed that society has failed as a whole in being able to teach you how to be funny. Honestly if I put in all my power and time to try and make your joke funny it would require Einstein himself to build a device to strap me into so I can be connected to the energy of a billion stars to do it, and even then all that joke would get from people is a subtle scuff. You’re lucky I still have the slightest of empathy for you after telling that joke otherwise I would have committed every war crime in the book just to prevent you from attempting any humor ever again. We should put that joke in text books so future generations can be wary of becoming such an absolute comedic failure. Im disappointed, hurt, and outright offended that my precious time has been wasted in my brain understanding that joke. In the time that took I was planning on helping kids who have been orphaned, but because of that you’ve waisted my time explaining the obscene integrity of your terrible attempt at comedy. Now those kids are suffering without meals and there’s nobody to blame but you. I hope you’re happy with what you have done and I truly hope you can move on and learn from this piss poor attempt

How about buffing both of their hp so that we can see soc different mini phases of phase 1 against Nk?
ua-cam.com/video/cTyQOKzMKp8/v-deo.html
HP isn't the issue with this fight its the damage scaling that's the problem SoC had all fire plus a little lightning and NK shrugs both off if they took away NK's fire resistance the fight would of easily gone to SoC he has better combos and move set meanwhile NK just has a big ass dragon he rides to wear you down he would be easy without the dragon wearing the player down
Rusty Blader
Meh. I can count on one hand the number of times the King of the Storm killed me or did a significant enough amount of damage to matter.
Rusty Blader I usually kill the dragon like 20 seconds in to the fight then it takes me like 3 minutes to kill the nameless king
@@RaidenKaiser the thing about the dragon, in my opinion, is it doesnt translate to the second phase. its pretty much fighting two different bosses. eventually, you can ace the dragon, but it takes away time and concentration that you could dedicate to learning the nameless. the dragon is not super hard (if you crit it, its gone), but it makes difficult to learn the actual bossfight.
IMO if they buffed the dragon, and made so its impossible to crit BUT it has to be killed ONCE, both phases would be soooo much more fun.
3:11 Nameless King just one-combo'ed the shit outta him
This is basically the Chosen Undead vs. Gwyn, except anime-ized, and the player doesn't understand stamina management.
