I danced with a lady the other night and I paused and focused on the embrace while the singer was holding a note and I heard a soft and wonderful sigh. Magic!

Excellent lesson. Too many dancers don't listen to the dialog in the "song". It's wonderful when it happens with more experienced dancers.

Such beautiful, controlled, soft footwork! I love watching both of you dance! And I love how it is more about the "dance" and not just being sexy!

Wonderful tip. I had heard that dancers used to pause when the singer starts as a mark of respect. It’s not something I have ever observed happening in a milonga. Will I use this? I don’t know, as I cannot see the circumstances where we will ever be dancing again like we used to. There just seem to be too many regulations and restrictions being put in the way for those that still want to dance. And there have been so many people scared off social contact that they will never return to dance. The future of Tango feels very bleak.

Hi Alan, happy this is helpful! yes, we will dance again, even if it might take some time to cautiously go back to normal. Stay safe, and take heart 💓
