    Good info.
    Just my humble opinion, but Phoenix Connectors are awful and I would not own a piece of equipment that would resort to such low quality cheapness, especially on a multi thousand dollar amp.

      My guess is that this was a nod to the CI industry.

      It’s worthless unless you are using outboard electronic crossovers.

    Oh that's what you meant in discord when you said using an 8 channel Amplifier for 2 speakers.
    Should of known you meant bridging. But I didn't know how many drivers the speaker had to correctly assume what you meant haha.

      @@JilesMcCoy Those banana plug Dongles are pretty neat. I'll have to look into getting those in the future if I have an amp that doesn't have banana plug outputs.

    Meh..on paper,yes….
    Headroom etc…..
    But tbh…it’s a little snake oil……everyone got on the bandwagon….
    Bridging/mono block,yes.

    I've just done mine today, which some older Bronze B2s.
    Just two Amps Myryad T40 and T 60 .
    The 60 watts amp for the bass and 40 w tweeter. Before, I had just the T60 running with the T40 as a pre amp .
    I can't believe the difference after bi amping , the bass is much more full and powerful before it was a bit weak .
    The sound stage is working now and is very noticeable.
    In short, everything feels 30- 40% better. It's well worth it.

      How do you set the volume on two separate amps?

    • @itisjustacomment
      @itisjustacomment 7 місяців тому +1

      @jamesmclanders9875 with a pre amp Capability.
      The top app is the controller and the bottom, just a box with a blank flat front , it only has a power on and off button.
      The pre amp " top amp " controls the " power amp " bottom amp " so matches the volume and tones, balance, all the inputs go into the pre amp .
      Also, the pre amp controls itself.
      To do this, you do need amp will a pre amp sockets ' out " at the back and one with pre amp amp " in. "
      Ask when buying as some amps don't work together. It's better off buying the same named apps top and bottom as I have .
      I have the option to add another app Power Amp and have a larger wattage by using one amp or the right and one for the left .
      But I'm very happy ad is , its great aell to improve quality at a cheap price.
      BTW you do need speakes with bi amp Capabilities ,meaning 4 inputs on rhe rear . Or you use the power amp to connect normal speakes with 2 inputs right and left .
      Watch a video in the matter bi ampimg and bi wiring.

    just a suggestion: Lots of your audience are VISUAL (specially the ones who grew up with LEGOS), so it would be a tremendous improvement on the vid if you could give more seconds allotted to the Amp / Wires / speakers images themselves instead of showing a person sitting on a sofa.

    Ive just looked up the Acurus M8 and its £5,700.00 new.. 8ch @ 200w per channel and only 0.05 THD .. Why is it so expensive? Does it have in-built digital processing? Seems a bit excessive on the price tag no?

    I just purchased a External amplifier the 5ch 200watt Rotel 1585, I am using the External amp to power my Klipsch Rc-64 iii center speaker which is Bi amp capable, My Klipsch Reference Rf-7 iii which is also Bi amp capable, And my Surround Speakers, Am thinking of Bi amping my Center speaker and just let my receiver power the Surrounds, Am confused how do I Bi amp my center speaker?

    • @JilesMcCoy
      @JilesMcCoy  3 роки тому +1

      In general you would take the RCA output for the center channel and use a Y adapter to split it into 2 feeds. You would pluf each of these into the input on a channel on your amplifier. You would then run 1 to the high input on your speaker and the other to the low input on your speaker. Make sure to remove the jumper.
