Ever think about putting up some solar string lights in the duck barn? The cheap one only last an hour or 2, but a little bit of light inside might help you see who is where, and then they die after a short time so they all go to sleep. Just drill a tiny hole to push the wire through and hand the charger outside, String the lights along the ceiling out of the way.
This is what I have in my coop. We lost the electricity out there this year so until we get it fixed up they have the solar lights. My chickens are spoiled and I leave a heat lamp on in the winter so I gotta get to it cause winter is coming fast hwre in upstate ny

The new door is beautiful, I like the fact that it's a different design. With the number of chickens you have it makes sense to repurpose the goat hut for the winter. That was amusing to see the Geese and Ducks are in their element while most of the Chickens and I think all the Roosters are heck no it's dang cold out here! Dabbles gotta be Dabbles, that is interesting he and his 5 seem more adventurous than the others. Since I thought the ducks and Mumbles are usually suspicious of even the most minor changes in their routine.
