I had the opportunity to play one of the mahogany minis and I gotta say it sounds much different in person than in this video, I don't think this video does it justice. I absolutely fell in love with the guitar and put money down on it immediately, I have yet to pick it up from the store but I have been excited about it since and cannot wait
Update: I have since upgraded the nut and saddle to bone and the bridge pins to ebony and changed the strings to elixir and it's an entirely different beast, it's significantly much more resonant and much much louder, do not sleep on this guitar!!!
Second update: I have since traded this guitar to my friend for his little martin lx1 and I paid the remaining difference, I only traded it to him so he could have a better guitar and I then ordered myself another one that has yet to arrive due to backorder
Is this hard to find? I just got one today they were telling me they just got this single one a few days ago
Sorry I didn't get notified of this, but from what I heard I lucked out on this one, my local dealer only had this one and due to covid, shipments are delayed significantly so I'd say it's a little on the tougher side to find one, I'd say your best bet is online
Just got the same guitar a couple months ago and fell in love with it as well, im looking into doing the same upgrades you did too. What size is the nut and saddle? Thanks!
@@charliesolis3082 1.615" for nut, saddle is 41.2 mm
@@dd61125 feels suspicious that the review is very positive
Does anyone know how to get the sheet music/tutorial for the pieces played in this video?
Great Performances by the players!
GRESTCH GIN RICKE 952O E REGULATORS tone
I have my redondo mini and I just love it! So easy and ready to go anywhere and have a blast!
I love the look of that fender headstock in such a dark wood color.
Ah!!!! I’m so happy you have a mini series!!!
Wow simplemente epico, me encantan la siguiente semana me pedire una
Posting this comment in case someone is thinking of buying the sonoran mini... I've had mine for a few weeks so here's my review I guess. FYI The video says the scale length is 23.3", it's really 24.1". The overall feel of the guitar is good, but when I first got mine there was some fret sprout, I was able to sand it down with very fine sandpaper so they don't scrape me when I play. The action on mine is really nice. 2.0 mm on the low E and 1.25 mm on the high E (.050" and .070"). It comes with light gauge strings that sound nice but mine had some wear to them so I switched mine out for D'addario 80/20 extra lights and I think it sounds better, I've also swapped the bridge pins for bone ones instead because the plastic ones this guitar came with look kind of sloppy when you look at the black dot close up. I'm petite and the body of this guitar, while mini, is still kind of big for me. I own a martin LX1 and the sonoran mini has a bigger body overall (height, width and depth). The guitar is comfortable for me to play, the neck feels slim, even with my small hands. The guitar sounds mellow in my opinion, probably because the top, back, and sides are all made of laminate mahogany. If you have a solid top guitar, the sonoran mini will sound quieter in comparison. In terms of looks, I personally think the fender headstock looks cool, I know some people say it doesn't belong on an acoustic but I happen to like it. The gold pickguard is good contrast with the mahogany body and I just think this guitar looks great. It's not a bad guitar for $200, are there "better" ones you could get? Sure. Whatever you decide, the best guitar is the one you actually want to play and if this guitar looks like you'd want to play it and it sounds good to you, why not go for it?
Honorable mentions for other 3/4 guitars at this price range: Gretsch Jim Dandy, Yamaha APXT2
I really appreciate that. I've been trying to find out if the top is laminate or solid. Fender and their stockists don't say. Kind of annoying that they brush past this important fact. Again, thanks.
Perfect couch guitar
Just picked up the 220e Mahogany. Fantastic guitar 💯
Just bought a mahogany to add to my mini collection!
Well very nice fender love your vids
The video I've been waiting for. A good look at what's the Sonoran mini is capable of. I already own a mahogany top that I have to wait around for until early November. Sounds very nice 🤘
Which both is the best between redondo and sonoran mini? I want to buy new one, i want the great sound for strumming
Yooo, this playing makes me so relaxed... I can listen to this all day. Does the first guy have a youtube or something?
@Fender Please Please Please add a tutorial for the very last demo with the glass slide! Either on YT or fender play but that demo was beautiful. Literally the reason I bought a PS220 just to play this demo thats been showing up in my dreams.
When will these be available in India along with the 2021 affinity series
I bought the spruce sonoran mini. Definitely worth it especially the price. Doesn’t feel like 3/4 guitar.
She's sounds like a ordenary guitar? Volume and sound
You you make them left handed as well?
Please Please tell me that the Rodondo mini comes left handed without the exorbitant price.
Are they solid top?
What rope caliber use this model
Sonoran mini is the same as Malibu?
What is the name of the music that mason stoops is playing?
Overall length of the Redondo?
Are the strings on these just 'normal' acoustic guitar strings? Need to change mine
So, what's the actual scale of the sonora mini? Here you're saying is 23.3, while on the fender website says it is 24.1. Which one is the right one? 🤔
Good question.... I was wondering the same thing. 🤔
24.1 or 614mm
I bought one a few days ago, it's definitely 24.1.
@@rekaty79 how's the tuning stability?
@@_dmfd , theses are rather cheep feeling tuners. I'm still using the guitar with the factory string in drop D, which provides quite good bending. I'm not troubled with tuning stability. My problem is that its hard to bring the guitar in tune. Those tuners get either a bit sharp or a bit flat, but once I find the balance (compromise) between them, the tuning lasts a lot, even with bending. I really dig how this little mahogany guitar sounds. Kinda bluesy, nasal, but with satisfying bass content. I'd definitely buy it again.
Would like to get the tabs that she played on the Redondo mini Sunburst 😂
I want one but the Natural Mahogany demo guitar is not the same in the website.
What's it sound like on that video?
This video singlehandedly made me sell the only acoustic I had so I could buy the all mahogany version.
Will it be equipped with electric on redondo mini?
Strictly acoustic to keep the price low
If I want to hear more of this kind of music, what are some of the keywords I should google?
solo acoustic guitar
Question. What is the tuning for the Redondo Mini? Is it standard tuning EADGBE?
Jep, it comes in standard tuning.🙂
You can tune it however you like.
How's the tuning stability on these?
Purchased a Redondo the other day for my daughter and this was one of my main concerns in looking at guitars of this price range. So far so good. Was looking at some Recording Kings and those might as well be toys.
Are any of them electric?
Guitarra Acústica Fender Redondo Mini
What song it is?
Would these work as a traveling guitar? I'm planning a big vacation in the future and I want to take a guitar with me and space will be limited where I'm going.
Any guitar works as a travel guitar, but a 3/4 is definitely preferred. I’m sure these would work great as a travel guitar. Taylor guitars GS Mini is rated the best travel guitar in the world, and those fit perfectly in an overhead compartment of any airplane.
This fits in the cabinets over the bed in my RV

Getting massive vibrato on the 4th fret and the guitar nut fell off trying to change the strings.
BRING. BACK. THE. AMERICAN. VINTAGE. LINE!
PLEASE!!!!
Ladys Name ?
Molly Miller (Molly Miller Trio)
Can y’all add a Michael Lemmo signature jazzmaster?
diam boi
why that headstock tho
It is said to offer stronger tuning stability because the strings are allowed to be straighter aka inline. The standard recangular headstock forces the strings to be slightly bend at all the tension points.
No suenan nada mal
I wanted to buy the mini sonoran since last year but it's not available in India I wonder if i will ever get my hands on these 🥲🥹🥹
The headstock hurts my eyes and brain good that there making new designs though
