Honestly, immediately when I noticed she had out “we’re not really strangers “ game I was like oh no. ~ :/ it’s bound to dredge stuff up with family (speaking from my own experience my own family issues/ trauma/ learned behavior etc)
Seriously I wanted to get that to do with my friends I couldn’t imagine doing it with my family so much stuff kept deep down

Amy, I look forward to your living alone diaries every time you upload. I live alone and work from home and rarely get to see friends because of the pandemic so I feel connected to you through your videos. I resonate deeply with having family issues and trauma and it's oddly refreshing to see that other people have these issues too. I know it isn't the "happy" side of UA-cam, but thank you for showing your struggles with your family and your emotional breakdowns because it shows your beautiful authentic self.

Amy..i just want to say i really appreciate that you are open about the conflicts and fights you have with your family. It makes me feel like I am not alone when I have fights with my parents. It makes me feel that my family is also just a normal family. Especially being first-generation immigrations in the US and having parents who grew up not only in a different time but also a whole world away. Many times we don't agree on views and values but I still love them. :) Thank you!

i just want to share that i have been SO feeling the same going into this first month of 2021. it has more been a time of processing and realizing all the trauma i have suppressed from 2020 (you know, just trying to get through it) than a time of a fresh start, new beginnings, all the things culture expects from us for a new year. thanks for being real. so relatable. much love, amy.

It is so Korean culture that a dad asks some erand that he is surely able to do himself, and one of kids(mostly a woman, not a man)does it instead for him, but as soon as daughter-in-law hears it, she quickly stands up and finally does it because she can't handle the pressure of duty as a daugher in law. She would felt like she had an obligation to do every single labor during family in law gathering.😭
I am in same position with her as a korean, so it kind of makes me sad a bit. I didn't expect to see the scene in Amy's blog, but her family is also so Korean following old tradition, even in USA. 😅 Just thought.
I am happy to see her vlog for a long time though. I hope it has been a great refresh for her.💙
