If true then why would God need to trim away branches that don’t produce good fruit. If Jesus is the vine, then by this logic He wouldn’t need the vinedresser to prune away the bad fruit that comes from the branches of Him being the vine. You need to take the Word of God in as a whole to get complete understanding.
John 15:2 says he trims/prunes branches that bear fruit. Any branch that is not in Christ will bear no fruit. Only those in Christ will bear fruit, and this Matthew 7:18 passage I point to says good trees cannot bring forth evil fruit.
Based on John 15:6, and contrasting that verse with 15:5 and 15:16, it sounds like those “cut off” and “burned” are actually people who were never saved. Based on many other scriptures I’m sold on “once saved always saved” so that informs my interpretation of this as well. Open to other thoughts though.
@@stephen_exley yeah I’m used to believ in once saved always saved, but then I grew up and looked at who and why the are saying saying that. And I researched and studied and asked God Himself to reveal the truth to me. By definition not one person on this planet has been saved yet. It’s a future event. To be saved is to be saved from God wrath at judgement. So your just wrong on this. It’s bad theology written by men.
How do you interpret Matthew 7:18? Seems like that verse you mentioned, which is from the same passage, is talking about true believers and false believers.
@@stephen_exley because of a disability I have I can't spell words so I have to talk them so this will be short Love thy neighbor signs of good fruit hate thy neighbor signs of bad fruit but because we're human and we are fighting with a carnal mind we don't always bear good fruit ❤️

Thank you! Will do!
A good tree can produce bad fruit, and can be picked on by pests.
Yes, Jesus is talking about saved and unsaved people, not trees!
A book told you “you can’t be a bad person”and you said “ight”
The book told me I can’t be a good person, so I accepted the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ. God bless you!

@@RaymondEMcGehee-sd8ys Romans 8:6-9 … we are not carnal if we are saved and have the Spirit
Little arrogant to think religion can prevent you from "producing bad fruit" but sure!
Not "religion" - being born again, by definition, makes you a good tree. You can't produce good fruit by trying. God bless you!
