@janae I would say the motivation of students is very poor at uc Davis which doesn't sit well when your trying to gain knowledge from your peers. There times during a discussion and the a teacher asks a questions, and the class get dead silent as if he didn't ask a question. The number of classes to choose from in my department are very small and lacking compared to major uc like uc Berkeley were there are many different sociology Classes with 5 units that you can choose from opposed to Davis were your more likely to run in with that same professor each quarter. Also the quarter system is at uc Davis even makes things worse because very bad because professors are rushing the material in a small. which left me wondering why they hell this school is so hyped. If I could go back I will choose ucb or uci in a heartbeat because the academics and campus scene is bad and dull with cult christian fellowship groups
