- Finally… the fish were biting at my favorite spot! A little sunshine and catching a bunch of fish trolling the Nomad DTX Floating Minnow, it was definitely a fun day out on the water!

great to have you back out there, Dan! And, the Nomad strikes again!!!
Great video!! Love the passion and excitement!!!
Nicely done Dan!!!
Great work Dan 👍🏼
Glad you made it back out on the water!
Glad that you are safe and still getting at it!!!
It’s good to see you back on the water Dan and also to see the bass back on the chew.
That looked like a great fun day on the water. Nicer water temperature than at La Jolla , it's been cold down here, after about 3 weeks ago when it was almost 65 and now it's been between 60 and 63. That definitely has slowed the fishing, even with squid around. The sun has also been a stranger these last few months. Tight Lines, Dan!
Mark… have any kayak fishermen scored a yellowtail down at La Jolla this summer. I literally haven’t seen a single video of one being caught there this summer.🎣😃
Waiting for a new video and a great way to deliver! Nice catches.
Summer weather is rolling in next week we are good to be in the 80s , Sharks are more out there close by the shore. Stay safe enjoy fishing 👍🏻
Nice day out, Dan. Hoping we can get out there together soon 🤘
Yew!! Been waiting for an upload! 🤙
Great stuff man!
Great to see you back out there! Which do you find the harder fighter, sandies or calicos?
Man your on a suicide mission going out that far in the ocean on a kayak. The best of luck to you 😮
😮😮😮
How Deep does the DTX dive?
The Nomad DTX Floating Minnow dives to 25 feet and it requires only 2mph to reach that depth. For kayak fishing optimal trolling speed is 3.5 to 4mph.🎣😃
what is your trolling speed and how many lines do you let out? I am trying to get dialed in with my DTX floating minnow, but so far haven't caught anything on it yet.
I maintain a speed of 3.5 to 4mph. At that speed I’ve caught a bunch sand bass and calico bass at that speed.🎣😃
@@losthorizonfishing107 Thank you! I will try that when I get back in SoCal, now do you let out a lot of lines like 100 ft or just 20-30 ft?
I open bail on the spinning reel and drop the Nomad behind the kayak. I paddle for approximately 30 seconds and then close the bail. I’m not sure exactly how many feet that works out to.🎣😃
The cool thing about the Nomad DTX is that so many species of fish will hit it!
@@losthorizonfishing107 Awesome, thank you I will try that out
