That "no more 3 players from one club" rule is just an excuse to make sure the team isn't dominated by Barcelona players because they have the best players in most positions lol. Rolfo at LB, Maria Leon at CB with Renard, Patri should be in midfield alongside Aitana and Alexia should be CF, she's not a midfielder. Not to mention Oshoala as well 😂

Alexis ha barely played
as much as anyone can appreciate Alexia as a player and person, she should not be in TOTY for this year. She missed so much of the season due to the major injury she suffered. Without a doubt tho, it would be a Barca party if the 3 player rule wasn't in effect.
with the way Alex pronounced "Onya Badger" you can't blame Alexia for not catching what she's asking lol but I have to give it to Alex for actually trying to learn (some commentators should take notes iykyk).

No it wasn't, both Ona Batlle and Alexia Putellas are Catalan, they are from the same region and speak the same language, there is no way Alexia's pronunciation was bad on Ona's name@@paupadros
@@amacuro It's slightly more complex than that. I speak both Catalan and Spanish. By the manner Alexia pronounced the name, she speaks Spanish natively and applies Spanish phonology to "Ona Batlle" which is a Catalan name. She gives it away by her way of pronouncing the "ll" as "y" and the final "e", which should be a schwa. If you look up someone like Aitana Bonmatí pronouncing the name, you'll hear it differently, because Aitana speaks Catalan natively. :)
Alexia is soo cool! Just her calm demeanor and that beautiful accent and the respect she has for the game and other players. No wonder she is considered GOAT. ❤

when i was very young i could only play with my male footballing heroes, and now i've got all my greats, male or female, in my squad. assisting heung min son with alexia putellas and aitana bonmati just feels magical. thank you alexia for all your hard work in helping build that barcelona side. it was the introduction to football for the young women in my family. you make us proud every day
same. even further, i‘d never stopped playing if i had female role models. i played with the boys outside everyday as a kid but didn’t have any women to look up to and knew it wasn’t a sustainable dream. honestly means so much that it’s changing

Alexia was injured for a long season and played a bad World Cup. Sam Kerr was injured and didn’t play good as well. Popp had one of her weakest seasons of her career as well. There are by far better options than these 3
