My dad would have been 80 yesterday (1/28), he has been gone 27 years as of 1/21 ( he passed a exactly a week before his 53rd birthday. I say all that to say your story hit home for me today. Hi Janet! I'm a little behind on flosstubes. I've been busy with the Magazine Monthly Challenge (January) and just did half of that WIP parade. Whew! I have Blue Rhapsody. I'm stitching mine in periwinkle colors. The Crazy Cross Stitch Lady, Carla, is stitching it in beautiful purples. Love seeing all the things! Such a beautiful story about the toolbox. Divine Intervention, my dear. It happened to me with my dad's passing. So many things ♡ My retirement date from TSA was July 31st (another divine intervention for me). Thank you, Janet. Yes, I don't know how I found time to work full time Plus for the last 30 years of my working life. (I sometimes worked a second job when financially needed.) Janet congratulations with your retirement date. That is wonderful. Retirement is the greatest. I am so busy doing things that make happy and loving every minute. I spend time with my grandkids, cross stitching, reading, and my church activities. I am involved with two different cross stitching groups that meet weekly for a couple of hours. You will busy. Having part of your dad’s tool box is very special. My dad had his own little work shop and when he passed my sister and I divided his tools. His tool box is in my garage and every time I walk by it I think of him. It is like having near by. It is very special. Cherish the memories! Have a blessed week.

I know it was a real struggle for my husband to go from working full time to being retired and not having a structure for his days. Several of his coworkers had said the same. 🪡👠

But my sister was telling me how her emotions welled up because in getting ready for our memorial gathering, she found a notebook she had given him and in it was his writing of bible verses. There's a connection that we feel when we see their handwriting, isn't there? Congrats on your retirement date... so exciting.

I'm always amazed at how those 'little' bits throw us into a curve of emotional upheaval, but in the end-they make us realize that those messages are there for a reason.
