It has been 41 years since she received her new heart and is grateful for the time she has been afforded and the team at Good Samaratin in Mt. Vernon Ill. and at Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Due to Cardiomyapathy Susan Burkhart was in need of a heart transplant which she received on January 17th, 1983.
