Mate!! Love the seat, suspension and indicators, looks mad! I just got the freedom 2-1 combat as well although didn't install it as I noticed a big dent on one of the headers pipe, not sure if they purposely have it there but will hopefully have it on my sweet bobber soon. Good onya mate
Thanks for posting a video comparison. You can tell there's difference just by the fact that you can actually hear the engine whine with the quiet baffles as opposed to stock baffle. Still no headaches with the quiet baffle?
Just picked up a Scout Bobber Twenty, only 300 miles, dude man couldn’t handle the power I guess, lol. I’m loving this bike though, way more than I could’ve imagined 🚀😅. Freedom Combat is sooo bitchin loud! I appreciate this video my dude! You got me sold on the quiet baffle, just added to my cart 👏🏍.
Great video bud, question for you though, do i need any adapters or to move any pegs/levers to have the exhaust fit? Or does it just fit right off the bat?
Adapters no, but you will probably need some washers and/or spacers to clear the rear brake mount . I feel like every install has its own take. Other than that it fits perfect.
Hello there. I find the design and sound of this Combat 2-1 exhaust great, I am almost ordering one for my Scout, but I fear it could be too noisy for my ears. Can you confirm that the exhaust loudness was significantly reduced through the baffle? Is your headache gone? Tks.
@@Mikeylez Excellent! Another point of interest: does the heat generated by the pipes bother your leg too much? I read somewhere that one way around this heat issue was to apply heat wrap on the pipes and fix the heat shields on top of the wrapped pipes...
Silas Marner it doesn’t effect ME. I can’t speak for other maybe they have giant legs. Wrapping the pipes under the heat shield would make putting on the heat shields tough . Wrapping them over while looks cool in the beginning with eventually look like crap. You would have to constantly be on top of them. There’s a lot of sites that offer ceramic coating and other applications that reduce the heat of it bothers you. I am able to deal with in living in NY. I’d imagine on 90 degree days it would be an issue.
Have you done a dB test would like to see how much the db at cold start. Stock Indian is around 81db and also hoping not to go to loud but want the short exhaust to put stretch baggers and not have any cutoutS
Joe Vasquez I haven’t but it’s at least 10db louder than stock. Probably the loudest exhaust out there next to the dirty bird exhaust . I’m happy with it looks badass and sounds even better.
I installed this with an Aaron take on my 23 Indian sport chief. I had a shop install both and do a Dyno Tune I get a lot of backfiring on the decel only is this a bad tune possible bad install with air leak or is this normal for this kind of short wide exhaust? I don’t like the backfiring sound and it would be nice to get rid of it but I’m not sure if it’s a bad tune, bad installation or just something I had to deal with from having a shoulder pipe any ideas?
Sorry Rick , I don’t have that issue on my bike. I wouldn’t know how to help you. In my opinion it’s not the tune. Check to make sure it’s seated properly. My bike is different than yours and also 5 years older , I would reach out the Freedom Performance. They should be able to help.
The quiet sounds higher pitched ? I don’t mind the loudness but I certainly don’t want a quieter but higher pitch sound. Is the quiet baffle higher pitch than the performance baffle ? Thanks bud !!
Hey Michael, thanks for the video. I was about to buy the combat myself but now you are scaring me. is it that loud? do you know how many decibels? is it a more than a 100? That's the max the law permit here in Montreal? does the baffle helps? do you still love the sound?
Hey Alex, first off, don’t be scared lol. The baffle makes a big difference, I don’t know the exact db rating, but that’s what freedom says it is. I wouldn’t worry about that at all it’s not that bad. I would 1000 % recommend this exhaust. I love it and it looks awesome on the bike.
Does the quiet baffle actually work. I just bought the freedom 2-1 exhaust and it is way too loud for me. I need to know if I should just go back to stock or invest in the baffle.
How does the quiet baffle sound with a rev/ at higher RPMs? I recently installed the exhaust and love it but do agree it’s almost a little too loud, but I love the mean sound I get when reving/ when in higher RPMs. Does it tame that sound too much?
It sounds even better at higher RPM’s. It purrs like a kitten. The beauty of having the baffle is it’s an easy install and you can remove it just as easy . Having it on this long I can’t even remember how loud it was before, but it was loud enough I had to do something .
Loving the Ohlins rear shocks- thinking of getting some. Have they made an improvement and saved your kidneys and we’re they easy to install- great video Btw

Just the vid I was looking for. Thanks brother.

Yes significantly . No more headaches. Still sounds awesome though so it’s a win win.

@@Mikeylez so is this a significantly difference in sound?
Yeah I have a Freedom 2 into 1 on my (Scout )Turnout , it’s slow loud I try to remember to use ear plugs!

Great vid man, hey what tuner did you use with the exhaust?
Power Commander
Hard to tell on camera, is there much of a difference?
I agree hard to tell in the video but it’s a big difference especially when riding.
So how it looks like with the quiet baffle? Same here, headache and my ears were bleeding without it.. supposed to receive it tomorrow so..
The quiet sounds higher pitched ? I don’t mind the loudness but I certainly don’t want a quieter but higher pitch sound.
Is the quiet baffle higher pitch than the performance baffle ? Thanks bud !!
Honest answer ……it’s been so long I don’t remember, lol. In the warmer months I may remove it and see how I feel about it now .
Hey Michael, thanks for the video. I was about to buy the combat myself but now you are scaring me. is it that loud? do you know how many decibels? is it a more than a 100? That's the max the law permit here in Montreal? does the baffle helps? do you still love the sound?

Yes it's crazy loud. The loudest thing I've ever put my ears to. Someone said 108 decibels. It is louder than concerts and we don't like it.
Does the quiet baffle actually work. I just bought the freedom 2-1 exhaust and it is way too loud for me. I need to know if I should just go back to stock or invest in the baffle.
Yes it does work . I never went back to the stock baffle after installing the quiet one
Did you have to retune after installing the baffle?

Aside from the look it’s a much better ride. Big improvement over the stock ones .
@@Mikeylez cheers I’ve seen some all back ones, so looking to take the plunge 😀
I noticed ur corbin seat I wanted to know what black leather did u choose thanks
black alligator
just want to double check...does the headers have heat shields?? cant really tell from the video.
Yes they do .
What make, and size is that rear tire.....Thanks
In the video it’s the stock rear wheel think it’s 160 or 180mm, don’t remember since then I’ve changed the rear wheel.
What’s up bro, where are you in NY? Love to hear it in person, between this and grenades. Don’t want to blow my ear drum out.

The quiet one sounds louder. Is true?
Not true . Maybe in the video it appears louder but it’s not .
Thank you. I've ordered mine. Looking forward to it...and I hope it will be loud, but enjoyable..:)
What kind of shocks are those??
Ohlins
it sounds louder with the quiet baffle to me.
Maybe in the video but in person it’s not. When riding it much more noticeable and enjoyable to ride while still sounding great .
I actually agree, sounds lounder and "harder" with the quit baffle 🤷 I hope it's better irl cause I've just got this for my Chief Dark Horse 😄
Alright listen. 🤣
baffle robs alot of power, I mean alot alot
