Cool video! I didn’t know a candle could be hot enough for glass. What type glass is this?/What’s its COE? Is it soft glass? Also, do you have a set up for ventilation for the fumes?
Hey Nicholas! Yes indeed! shop.bullseyeglass.com/accessory-glass/rods-stringer.html?suffix_lnav=80 Make sure to order stringers (I recommend 2mm), not rods! Hope that helps :) You might be able to find people who sell them in smaller amounts on etsy either!
Is there a way to connect the seam without getting a lump? Also I may have mentioned this to you, but if you use an alcohol lamp, you will not get soot! And, if you dip your pliers in water before you make a break, the glass will snap off even better!
Hi Marjorie, really good tips with the alcohol lamp and water on the pliers! Thanks for contributing! :D by connect do you mean in a way that the seam is fully hot welded closed? I'm afraid a candle won't be hot enough to melt the glass to hot weld them closed, but if say you used a small chef's torch you'd be able to! Hope that helps!

Hey Nada! Me too until someone told me! I used soft glass here, Bullseye COE 90😁
Do you know if there are any reputable companies to order stringers from in the US?
