Marc Maron is always a fantastic guest.
He feels like an old friend, one you sleep with when neither of you are dating anyone.
Or maybe that's just me...
Maron's Sam stories are legendary. I wish he had gone on the show, back in '89/'90, to share them when Sam was alive.
1:43 That is such a perfect Kinison. Not surprised but definitely delighted that MM is such a solid mimic.
Love Maron, funny and a great interviewer on his podcast.
He hasn't done that podcast in over a year
@@CringeComedyTV not true, he releases episodes all the time
"Little fat Sam on the floor..." Classic.
Maron master of Kinison stories
I've been to a couple of dozen concerts, all hard rock or metal, including being on the floor, up front to the stage next to the amps, 3 or 4 times at AC/DC and Judas Priest, in the 80's, louder than fuck, but when we saw Kinison at the Paramount Theater in Seattle in 1987, even though we were sort of in the cheap seats, when he screamed it was the loudest thing I'd ever heard in my life, to this day. And I also grew up on Air Force bases and saw a few dozen air shows, I don't know if you know how loud those can be, but Sam was still louder. My ears were ringing for a couple of days after.
"Gulliver in the land of booze" -Howard
Ha!
"I told you I knew him" 😂
Legendary 😂
Kinison would have been a blast to party with!
I dunno about that...he was legit unstable. Great talent, but not someone I'd want to be around.
Yep. Right until my heart exploded from all that high quality coke. I was a party animal back in the day but not on Sams level.
Subtext: And he’s still alive. Sometimes it’s only the survivors who have a story to tell.
That photo of Marc and Sam sittling at the table doin rails, Marc looks like a bunch of people, mostly strangers, that I did coke with in the 80's. You know, the guy or girl that starts babbling about life and how to change shit, blah blah blah, but I bet Marc would've been fun to listen to.
Great story.
Put Artie and Marron in a room with some mics.
No guests necessary. But leave some food and drink, and check on them every week or so.
Marin has a great podcast.
Has? He hasn't done one in over a year.
This guy looks just like Hank Azaria
“I TOLD YOU I KNEW HIM!”
Fuck! Stern is such a good interviewer..just letting a good story teller weave some yarn without interrupting. It's so surprising how many podcasters don't get it always feeling the urge to fucked up the flow with interjections and sidebars as if the listeners gonna forget who's show it is. It's like playing an instrument in a band, sometimes it's better to let that shit breathe and dont play a God damn thing allowing other parts to shine and envitably producing sexier art overall.
I swear miniature alcohol is the strongest
Really?
post the whole damm thing for crying out loud
0:50 Tommy Wiseau? 😂😂😂
If Kinison were alive today, he'd be dead already.
I wonder if he means Bill Burr (the friend from Boston)
No it's not him, because he told the same story on the Bill Burr podcast oh, bill was not a part of that scene back then
Good stuff!
Marc is one of my celebrity crushes lol
Why does Howard stern sound like he is talking on the radio without talking to a mic
Marc!
My worlds have finally collided. Bitchin.
A#1
It’s interesting that Kinison cared so much about what Anton LaVey thought that that threat set him off like that.
So nice to hear a good story without Howard or robin cutting the guest off..
Fear in loathing
Lmao!
If he lived in Kinison’s house and slept in the bedroom with Kinison’s guitars, isn’t that technically Kinison’s bed?
Where’s beetle juice
was Sam a satanist? he kinda skipped over that part. i don’t recall ever hearing that.
Next Alip ba ta
I don't really know anyone at all left in the world but I still can't help but to miss the USA so much,I don't even know what I really want, like how would I survive I do not have
💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
... like Gulliver in the land of booze.
I don't want him to pull a Belushi on me!
Oh looks like howard is on break again from home....
Marc cheer up ffs
