I am loving skull and bones, just like that comment said, the late game is fantastic. I truly believe people are not giving it the shot it deserves and because of that they aren't experiencing the best parts of the game.
@Ethan-fz6tp the reason people hate it is because it show the slop that triple A companies spew out now if you enjoy the game hey that's good man you got your money's worth. But it's more or less the message it sends rather than the game itself-
@@Ethan-fz6tpI mean that's very flawed game design. It's fine to put the best stuff near to end so it's more of a surprise, but the start also has to be good, if not then the game suffers the fate this one did, of having everyone review bomb it for having a terrible first 6 hours
It's not trying to be like Black Flag, that's what's stupid about your comment and most reviews. Blag Flag is a single player Assassin's Creed game, This is a pirate MMO game that was inspired by Black Flag, and that's where the Blag Flag references end. The ship to ship combat is far superior to Black Flag or any other Assassin's Creed game.
Yeah, but when they first revealed it back 10 years ago. People were hoping it would be Black Flag 2 basically or just a Stand Alone Pirate Game. My comment is stupid? It's stupid and lazy that you can't board a ship to plunder its resources. Even if you look at only the ship combat. Black Flag is better in every way. Ubisoft didn't even know wtf this game was supposed to be by the end of it. Just had to release it. $200 Billion fire sale bin.
@@acurisur the ship to ship combat is objectively fucking worse than black flag lol. Besides, why don’t we compare the sword combat between these two pirate games instead? Oh, wait.
You’re right, most people don’t understand authentic vs realistic. Like how are people having fun with “farm simulator, mechanic simulator, office simulator, truck simulator, like coming home from work to GO to work on the game. 🤣🤣🤣
Work can be very rewarding depending on what you do. I don't play them but I imagine "work simulators" provide the rewarding feeling without feeling exhausted and sore when you're done
Historical pirate fact: A pirate was considered a privateer in those days aka an entrepreneur so of course it's like a job. When wars came they were considered naval militiamen and would consign their ships to the biggest bitter. After certain battles, they could, they would raid and loot ships and various lands, if they could.
Also most pirates actually lived in road island lol. They would travel the seas, fight with the British navy or work with them and then loot. Returning all of it to the docks in the 13 colonies to sell it off as not stolen goods. If I remember correctly the first actual “pirate” ship documented was a road island shipping company who one day threw the captain overboard and decided to be what we consider “pirates” today. One of my fav but most messed up stories is, a large colonial ship was caught in the mid sea with 44 young women. The pirates looted the women, most of them obviously got killed but the few who didn’t, joined the pirates. That’s a tough B to be a woman pirate…..
After the war, the pirates now not being bound by contracts and therefore not having a job, because the two empires, (British, and Spanish) were at peace they just started plundering ships and gaining loot wherever they could.
Finally someone describes my feelings on Black Flag better than I could! It's not a bad game. It's just not a good AC game. Not to mention they did Desmond dirty. I yield my time.
12:08 it's actually the stamina of the crew...the people loading cannons and general weaponry, speaking from an authentic point of view. From a gameplay perspective it was obviously made to balance the PVP. Combat is easier than in Black Flag, the game Ubisoft Singapur used as a blueprint, since cannons etc can be aimed easily even to the left and right (which wasn't possible in Black Flag), to appeal to a more casual crowd. So therefore, to still have some sort of challenge and thought into combat, they prevent people from just being brainless in combat or fleeing constantly.
“The stamina of the crew” has no bearing on the ship going faster because the crew don’t suddenly pull out oars and start rowing. This is why a stamina bar made sense in AC odyssey but makes zero sense here.
Ngl I do agree with what you said, except the "cant stop moving cause of the wind" part at 1:20 If you're on console (I'm not a PC player) you press B/Circle to raise up your sails, and press it again to completely raise them and drop your anchor But lets be honest, that's not enough to offset all the bs in this game
Some of these complaints are valid while others you can tell are just jumping on the bandwagon. With this one the first thing to pop into my mind was how this is a good thing because once you get further into to the game you’d realize how much stuff in going on at once and you’ll need to access your inventory while continuing sail to jettison items or just to plot your course with out losing time or speed which make it actually convenient. But yes the game ain’t for everyone and there is a 6 hour learning curve (in my opinion) because of how unique the game is.
not for everyone and needs work but after 120hrs in. me and two of my friends like trying out different builds and look at it like diablo 3-4 . a play each season a few weeks and move on kinda game and that fits my playstyle. and yeah i said d3 2300+ paragon this season, but f it i aint sorry for being different.hope everyone finds a game they like as well.
I agree I put 30 hrs in the open beta and bought the premium versions no regrets here. The game is very unique and some of the criticisms is definitely valid but a lot of the hate is just unnecessary. I see the potential and I can’t wait to see what they do with it next.
... because its the best reason for me to finally get and experience Black Flag. AC games never really stood out to me and I despise Ubisoft practices. But Skull&Bones shows me that Black Flag is the best pirate game I can get my hands on and a good playable AC game on top of that.
And the stamina on a ship thing... funny as it might be... ask Ben Ainslie... ask any sailor. Trimming the sails into the wind means the crew have to manually adjust the weight of the ship using guide ropes and physically moving to adjust the sails to optimize wind intake into the sails. It's dang hard work ... like REALLY hard work... so yeah, stamina on a ship...
See my issue is. I don’t know anyone. Literally anyone playing this game. I have 74 friends on steam, 45 on uplay and like 15 on Xbox. Not a single person is playing it. If it was good. It would be like helldivers. Where everyone, no joke all 74 of my friends were on helldivers Saturday night while the servers were full.
I'm really enjoying the game for what it is. We've been drowned in cesspool toxic sweatfest PVP games for so damn long that it's a breath of fresh air to hop on something a little more casual that simpletons and incapable PVPers like myself can easily jump in to without 8 hours of research first. Besides, I am convinced that over half of the people "reviewing" this game doesn't even own it nor have they even downloaded the 8 hour trial for it. They watched a few youtubers vomit their emotions all over the game using clips from gameplay that they didn't even make themselves and just blindly threw themselves aboard the hate-train. Is it a $60 title? No. Is it a Quad-A title? No. But it's a fun little arcade pirate game that's easy to get in to, has a casual setting that I can chill and game and do some co-op while watching some TV or listening to a podcast and I don't have to give 500% of my attention watching my back every 2 seconds in fear of someone raiding me and stealing everything I have.
I'm sure your $10 is much appreciated, and I imagine you are enjoying this, but 'Black Flag' a 10 Yr old game, exists and is better than this and cheaper too.. I wanted this game to be good, all they had to do was remake Black Flag and remove the Assassin creed BS and they would have a winner.
I played Open Beta. I realised it is dumbed down, for people who don't want to think. There are more enjoyable ways to blow 70+ bucks, and you can bet they'll find ways to suckle more out of those who play it. It's kinda funny you're feeling the need to donate, just to make absolutely sure your take is going to be seen. It either speaks towards personal Insecurity issues, or you be someone who thinks throwing money at things will solve them. Play and enjoy, but realise others will understand why they did what they did, act accordingly and call things out as they are.
@@KubaxKristallmond you a psychologist or something? You made that entire observation about me being insecure and what not based solely on a $10 donation with a respectful comment attached? Certainly we can agree to disagree about the game but you don't need to try and analyze me like I'm scheming or something. It's kind of funny how broke people always attack not-broke people and I only said that because you unnecessarily insulted me. Read and enjoy. We're allowed to think differently. I guess this is the part where you call me mad and triggered and tell me to cope and all that then, yeah?
@@officialmonkeeg Nah, all good. You just proved my point with your response. Not realising your initial Post was patronising towards those who can - and should - expect more after all the Time spent, downgrading the Gameplay, the misleading Advertisements etc. speaks for itself. But in the same vein you're nobody to throw Shade at those who "hate" the Game for knowing - and caring - about the aforementioned. Have fun playing, I be enjoying Helldivers 2. From a Company that deserves Respect and Support, because unlike Ubisoft, they care about the Players.
Any 10/10 HAS to be a troll. Even 9/10. I could see solid arguments for 7 or maybe even 8, depending what you're wanting out of a game, but this is NOT 10/10. I only played the closed beta. Ship combat was pretty solid, if a bit arcady (the big ships are definitely more arcady than the dingy you played with in the tutorial bit). Graphics looks pretty good (maybe a bit too saturated vs "realistic"). But there's literally nothing else to do in a game marketed as a full-featured pirate game. I'd put it at a 3, maybe 4/10 because I wanted so much more out of a pirate game. I get arguably better ship combat (outside of unique weapons) with AC: Odyssey. It's a pretty mobile game with a $70+ price tag.
It is so easy these days to find a community and make friends to run with in any game. There are lots of public discords, your favorite Twitch and UA-camrs have discords, people looking to squad up everywhere. You don’t have to roll alone here or in any other game!
All I’m saying is we need Rockstar to make a Pirate Game. I think as long as they make boats a bit easier to get than super cars in gta I think it could be amazing. I’m sure they could implement both land and sea heists, criminal empires, drug smuggling, and so much more
Dude you had my rolling lmao. This video was top tier and the first time I've seen anything from you. Definitely giving a lock and subscribe on this because damn dude this was great.

Ppl who say AC4 "isn't a good AC game", i think dont really understand what AC is. You kno Ezio isn't an assassin until the very end of 2, right? However, unlike Edward, who grows and develops as a character, 1 day Ezio is just wise now i guess.
@MAJIMAXKIRYU69 No, he didn't. He just started killing ppl out of revenge for his family. He doesn't become an assassin until Machiavelli and the others actually induct him into the creed. But if that was the case, then I guess Edward became an assassin when he impersonated Duncan Walpole 😂
@@tooshort2stroke no he is against joining at first but then reluctantly agrees and I believe that being sworn in part is either a formality or him becoming a master assassin because he is one in brotherhood
@MAJIMAXKIRYU69 reluctantly agrees to join when? To whom does he say that? Hell, he doesn't even know the contacts he meets throughout the game are assassins and have been subtly guiding him. Idk kinda doesn't make sense to not no anyone in the brotherhood, then be randomly promoted to a MASTER first thing. Has it worked like that in any other game? I don't know the last time you played AC2, but I beat it a week before Mirage dropped.
"The main gameplay loop is farming parts and upgrading boats" ... No it's not, it's the helm missions and pieces of 8 which you didn't get to before posting your complete review 😢
I listened to someone who actually worked on the game talk about it, they removed 80% of the game to turn it into a live service experiance. It was actually a really good game at one point, and they threw it away so they could make an extra buck.
@@acurisuryup! And its a really really smart way to test out how it all works together- make sure ahead of time the game parts all mesh well- then as you work on the stuff coded foe next season, you add stuff and polish that season off. Its honestly a super smart approach too, because if you feel a season needs more/something else entirely- you can pop a coder team to handle it on a 6 month deadline, etc.
You dont know what arcadey means? By arcadey, he means theres a stamina bar for the ship, you have healer classes where cannon balls give health, you have buffs and debuffs for ships. Thats all arcadey stuff.
When the first trailer for Suicide Squad came out I was interested. Until I saw the looter shooter fortnite gameplay which immediately turned me off. I was never interested in skull & bones, and after seeing gameplay its much worst than I thought.
The stamina isn't for your ship lol... Its for your crew... That's why you feed them to increase stamina quicker... Basically they are working harder to trim the sails and have more air hit the sails so you move faster... Also I feel many people didn't play the game for too long. because you pretty much get all our material from plundering and fighting other ships mid to late game.. even early game really... P.S I'm not "defending" the game.. But I do see a lot of info out on this game that isn't really correct.. Especially the people talking about material gathering.. That is just another option if you don't want to... well.. be a pirate :P
I think Rogue brought the Assassin/Templar aspect back while somewhat improving what was already set by Black Flag. Which is all what Skull&Bones needed to do but failed with more time and resources. Proof that more time and money doesn’t mean shite.
The only thing Skull and Bones took from Black Flag and made better was ship navigation lol Ubi COMPLETELY missed the mark for this game! All they had to do was take Black Flag, remove the Assassin/Templar storyline, craft a great pirate adventure story, add full character and ship customization, and allow players to leave their ship, sword fight, steal other pirates treasures, find new islands, swim, fish, kill legendary sea creatures, fight against other pirate factions and ghostly cursed pirates! We wanted an open world Pirates of the Caribbean inspired game that had similar game mechanics as say Red Dead Redemption where you actually live out the life of a pirate like how RDR2 made you feel like a cowboy outlaw!
@@lucasbelmonte2832 lmao when the game was first announced 8 years ago, it was first stated that they were building it off Blackflag. Thats where the concept came from and what it was supposed to be. They were going to take the pirate elements from Blackflag and create a multi player game based on it. There's actual footage from 2017 that showed the alpha build of Island exploration and ship combat. Then along the developement nightmare, that all changed. So yeah, they did initially advertised it that way, not the ship simulator they released.
@@neonmatt24 Well that’s just all bullshit, Ubisoft specifically stated they game was seeing built of black flags NAVAL combat, that doesn’t include island exploration or sword fighting and the the first official gameplay trailer we got was only ship combat. You weren’t lied to at all you just want to bitch about something that’s been common knowledge for 6 years. Now how about stop wasting your life complaining about a game you’ll never play and go and do something worth while.
Okay, I'm a hefty critic of games, just ask Zenimax how much I got on their back with all the issues of my 9 years playing Elder Scrolls Online... I'm also a big player of pirate themed games - which started on my Commodore 64 playing Sid Meier's Pirates!. From there I've played a host of games including, but not limited to, Cutthroats, Port Royale, Tortuga, Black Flag etc. So... I played the Skull and Bones beta, and had reservations, but saw enough to pull the trigger on the purchase since I had some credit built up with my rewards in PSN. I've played the game pretty much non-stop since purchase and can't wait till the first season begins tomorrow. The game is highly repetitive, this is absolutely true.... but I do love a routine in a game... and at times it can feel like a time management type game. But to say it's not a pirate game is highly unfair. It absolutely IS a pirate themed game, but it is a live service MMO, and that is where some people might find issue... My largest criticisms of the game are simply based upon tiny things like the extreme storms being too frequent, and the wind changing direction too often so you can't strategize routes etc... so this pushes the game towards that "arcade" feel, rather than simulation. The initial block of base game we have though really looks promising for its future. It's definitely not a quadruple-A game though... and the price tag doesn't reflect the content... but being hyper-critical of it doesn't really work either. These are extremes at either end of the spectrum. The game cleraly sits firmly in a niche genre that gives it a "Marmite" feel - you either love it, or hate it.
There's no way people are OK getting a game 10 years in the making, only for it to have less in terms of content and gameplay than a game from 10 years ago.
@@jazon8877 so they'll patch in sword combat?, island exploration?, boarding a ship to combat the crew? Oh yeah that's right, they want us to "forget everything we know about pirates" b4 playing this game. Because if we don't know any better, then we can't compare it to a game that had a better grasp on the concept.....
Live service games are trash for precisely this reason. Why on Earth are people OK with paying full price for part of a game with vague promises of the rest of it being released in dribs and drabs over months and years? That's if it does well enough too.@@jazon8877
Nah just assassin's creed Black Flag but multiplayer and not the assassin's killing online bs nor the fleet bs, heck they can make the fleet games big and they might get players but NOOOO
Idk about that. Valhalla didn't really have much naval gameplay, the boat just took you up a river and Odyssey's naval mechanics were competent but it definitely didn't feel as good as Black Flag's did. The only game you can argue improved on Black Flag's mechanics was Rogue but that game might as well have been Black Flag DLC
You are right about it being a great pirate but not a great Assassins Creed game. Honestly being forced to do the Assassin and modern day stuff were the worst in that game. I think that’s what makes me feel so disappointed with Skull and Bones is that all it needed to be was just Black Flag but without the Assassin parts.
“First Quadruple A Game” is crazy. Whats so funny about that statement though is that you go onto microsoft store, and all the games have gone up in value due to inflation. Just about every game has gone up 10$ with them being listed for $69.99
My thoughts on the loot marker issue: I'm thinking they wanted to give that pirate experience where you have an outdated treasure map, and had to go find it, possibly running into dangers or enemy pirates along the way only to then realize the map was a dud. Even giving them the benefit of the doubt this still could have been handled better. Like alerting you that another crew is going after your loot or has your loot or something to that effect. Whatever the idea was it's clearly poorly implemented however.
My issue with this, and admittedly, I have only played the open Beta, is that it is worse than Black Flag and it costs €80. I have Black flag in my game library and would rather replay that.
11:50 that's because it's the crew member's stamina, not the ship itself People forget that the ships are operated by a crew of people, and I'm pretty sure handling the sails takes a lot of strength and stamina especially if you also take the wind into account Strong winds means way more effort to keep those sails going
That's not how sailing works, the crew needs stamina to put the sails up or down but when they're up they don't have much to do as long as they don't want to change speed for example. Stamina system in this game makes no sense
@@justafan2745 They're trimming the sails. If you watch the animations of the crewmembers on deck, they're pulling the ropes to make the sails tighter and that's why there's a stamina bar
@@justafan2745 You can see the crew pulling on the sails to make your ship go faster. Also if stamina wasn't a thing brigs could just out run every other ship easily.
I love the "I'm rating this higher because I don't think it deserve such a bad rating...but still going to review it poorly." It just represents such a clear misunderstanding of how reviews are intended to work. It's like, "I'm voting 30 times because I don't think my candidate deserves to lose." Just moronic.
It’s not even a realistic game because I think at the time this game takes place in ANCHORS WERE A BLOODY THING how the heck do you have a pirate ship with no anchor, literally sea of thieves had an anchor
How many hours did you play before you uninstalled? I completely agree with you the early game wasn’t fun. But now that I’ve upgraded to higher ships it’s a blast! If I were you I’d try and stick with it for a while. PvP missions, solo missions, different storylines, it’s got everything.
Considering Ubisoft plans to make an AC Black Flag remake it makes me think that they released a terrible pirate game so people will go back to the OG Black Flag and therefore be more inclined to buy the remake when they eventually release it. It’s the only explanation I can find for a company as big as Ubisoft to make such a mess of a game. The praises Black Flag is getting after Skull and Bones is just free publicity at this point
Oh no! If you start driving your boat and then look at something else, it doesn't stop driving automatically in a live service online game where you normally not able to pause things
Not to give a random review on the internet credit but I think the AWS reference is to say that AWS is PAY-AS-YOU-GO. which means you don't buy the game but you will spending as long as you play, which tends to be the case with plenty modern game via microtransactions
I've been playing SnB for a bit, I wasn't into it at first, but it's not terrible gameplay. If you want a multiplayer Age of Sail game which gives you progression and good, tight combat, you could do far worse. I think very many reviewers panning the game have no fucking clue how programming or game development works, or what the trade-offs are between single-player and multiplayer games might entail. How, exactly, would one expect to conduct a boarding action in a mutliplayer naval game? The minute two ships stop next to each other and start fighting in melee, a third player is going to drop mortars on their position, resulting the enemy ship being sent straight to the bottom. Your complaint about being unable to take your hands off the keys is *bullshit*. Just hold 'S' until you drop anchor, congraluations, you're no longer moving, wind or no wind. If you want to go ashore and fight people hand to hand, sure, I don't know what to tell you, except, "This isn't your game". Okay. Sure. But there are a *million* games where you can stab fools with a blade or shoot them with a pistol. How many multiplayer games let you sail a tall ship with cannons, or perform a shore bombardment? You can do World of Warships, but that's all WW1 & 2 shit. Skull and Bones isn't the best pirate game ever, but it's got a gameplay loop that lets you do something that no other game does: go on the high seas and duke it out with enemy ships. Nobody ever complained that Call of Duty is only dudes with guns, so why do you assume that you're entitled to getting a fully-functional FPS/melee brawler alongside your tall ship combat sim?
So from my perspective, that FB reviewer IS ACTUALLY SMART. They gave the game a 5 start rating but inserted a bad review of the game. This is a win because it gives potential buyers of the game a chance to give it a second thought before buying said game.
Bought the game out of frustration from Helldivers 2 server issues and got a small Lotto win. Is the game worth $70? No...not yet. Remember when we ragged on No Mans Sky on Launch and then it was better through updates. Id much rather play this than the same cut and copy Call of Duty for full price. Early playthrough had me pissed then i started understanding what the game was and not what i wanted to see. Im enjoying it, its the Division in a pirate setting.
Yep. I enjoyed playing the Division, so when a person who played the Division made the comparison, it made me like it even more. I am enjoying the game currently and as someone who can only casually play due to having adult responsibilities in life, the gameplay and being able to hop in and out whenever is a good thing.
I got the game 2 days ago and im not a pirate fan and i honestly having a blast and love the game and im not just saying this to make it sound like a good game but its definitely a fun game

These new age of gamers will tolerate the bare minimum it’s been the norm of games coming out undercooked and now it’s working these guys defend a uncooked game for the company that should take the constructive criticism.
this is what I've been saying, we are not mad because its just ship combat, we are mad that they billed a just ship combat game as a pirate game. two massively different games which if ubisoft just said its just gonna be a ship combat game that's pirate skinned most people wouldn't of been mad or as mad as they are. I also disagree with the idea that anything can get better later, I'm not playing through a slogfest just to get to the good parts. if the game doesn't interest you within a certain area(its worst parts) what's the point of getting to the interesting part if getting there isn't interesting. like people need to realize most others dont have time to get through the boring shit to get to the good shit on the day to day. thats whats great about sea of thieves, they literally just throw you in and you can do what you want for the most part and everything is explorable, granted im not a fan of sea of thieves either. the missions are mostly not interesting and personally i dont like how easy it is to board other ships, it completely undermines the ship combat in favor of what i consider entirely a boarding based meta where you just hope to board and hope they dont catch on to what your doing, then again the last time i played sea of thieves was during the large pvp update but even before that i still didnt completely get the games appeal. like it really feels after you perform the two big missions that you've played everything the game has to offer.
But that always said it would be ship only. The first gameplay reveal was just multiplayer team v team where you just sink each other's ships until one team gets a set amount of gold. That was 6 years ago. Ubisoft has never advertised that there would be hand-to-hand combat or island exploration.
@@lucasbelmonte2832 I remember the betas being like that but they always said something different about what the game was suppose to be, if I recall one of them was a black flag expansion which Would suggest at least something outside of ship combat would it not? Plus I'd argue that just because the beta that was 6 years ago as you put it that they would have time to implement some sort of element of boarding and exploring. A beta 6 years ago, after all, only suggests that they're testing elements of a game or ideas for the game, that doesn't suggest a full blown game. Like ya every beta after that was just ship combat but it still doesn't change the fact that everything the told us and everything shown didn't suggest two very different things.

It's stupid and lazy that you can't board a ship to plunder its resources. Even if you look at only the ship combat. Black Flag is better in every way. Ubisoft didn't even know wtf this game was supposed to be by the end of it. Just had to release it. $200 Billion fire sale bin.

Historical pirate fact:
A pirate was considered a privateer in those days aka an entrepreneur so of course it's like a job.

Ngl I do agree with what you said, except the "cant stop moving cause of the wind" part at 1:20
If you're on console (I'm not a PC player) you press B/Circle to raise up your sails, and press it again to completely raise them and drop your anchor
But lets be honest, that's not enough to offset all the bs in this game
You took the exact words out of my mouth.
Spot on! Immersion > Realism always!
It's LITERALLY named AAAA by the CEO this games deserved the hate it's EXPECTED to be Perfect By EVERYONE, and they just....... Half baked it.....
Half-baked? Considering all the time put into this game, it came out raw.

... because its the best reason for me to finally get and experience Black Flag.

I listened to someone who actually worked on the game talk about it, they removed 80% of the game to turn it into a live service experiance. It was actually a really good game at one point, and they threw it away so they could make an extra buck.
The stuff that was removed will be added back in during the coming seasons. You don't add everything in at once in a live service game.
@@acurisuryup! And its a really really smart way to test out how it all works together- make sure ahead of time the game parts all mesh well- then as you work on the stuff coded foe next season, you add stuff and polish that season off.

We all know why people don't like it
When the first trailer for Suicide Squad came out I was interested.

It’s a live service game they are not gonna give all the content at once

11:50 that's because it's the crew member's stamina, not the ship itself
People forget that the ships are operated by a crew of people, and I'm pretty sure handling the sails takes a lot of strength and stamina especially if you also take the wind into account
Strong winds means way more effort to keep those sails going
That's not how sailing works, the crew needs stamina to put the sails up or down but when they're up they don't have much to do as long as they don't want to change speed for example.
Stamina system in this game makes no sense
@@justafan2745 They're trimming the sails. If you watch the animations of the crewmembers on deck, they're pulling the ropes to make the sails tighter and that's why there's a stamina bar

Ubisoft had the formula for this game. Assassins Creed Black Flag with For Honor sword fighting combat.

By arcadey he just means, it's a simple go forward, backward, shoot, twitchy reflexes.
It's basically Dredge but without the charm.
So from my perspective, that FB reviewer IS ACTUALLY SMART. They gave the game a 5 start rating but inserted a bad review of the game. This is a win because it gives potential buyers of the game a chance to give it a second thought before buying said game.

I been saying for years when peolle say realism i usually see them actually be interested in the idea of realism and aspects but not the wait or down time etc. So im in the same page as you . Of sorts
I got an 8 hour free trial, played the game for 20 mins. What a waste of talent.
And just for the record, no we are NOT wrong.
These new age of gamers will tolerate the bare minimum it’s been the norm of games coming out undercooked and now it’s working these guys defend a uncooked game for the company that should take the constructive criticism.
Skull & Bones is aiming to be the NMS of pirate games
These gotta be Ubisoft employees 😂
I think the lack of an effective pause button is the reason it's "arcadey".
this is what I've been saying, we are not mad because its just ship combat, we are mad that they billed a just ship combat game as a pirate game. two massively different games which if ubisoft just said its just gonna be a ship combat game that's pirate skinned most people wouldn't of been mad or as mad as they are.
Why is there so much aliasing in your video footage? What kind of camera are you using, so I know not to ever purchase one.
A lot of people liking this game are not usually very into gaming. Which means that they don’t really understand that they could have gotten (and deserved) a way better game. If you have nothing to compare it to.. or maybe only play some games.. you might enjoy it! (That’s perfectly fine) but that doesn’t make it a good game :) and you are also not on Ubisofts pay roll.. or getting a free game if you defend it with your life😅
No one deserves a better game. That is straight-up entitlement. Unless you work for a game development studio you have never deserved any of the games you have you were gifted them by the people who made them.
"You might be pleasantly surprised" lmao bruh these games cost 70 plus tax and I'm on a digital system. Aint just gonna "try" most stuff especially current Ubisoft just on a hope. This aint toys r us in the early 90's no more.
Witnessing people coping is the saddest thing. Like people out there are defending MK1 and Suicide Squad game smh
