...and then in the 96 playoffs, he and Shaq got swept and humiliated by the Jordan and the Bulls.
You don't destroy Jordan. You simply piss him off and seal your fate.

This is absolute nonsense. Penny was NEVER better than MJ at any point. Penny and MJ faced each other 21 times total in their respective careers, and the Bulls dominated those contests to the tune of 14 wins to 7 losses. Even with a prime Shaq at the forefront and 4 of those 7 losses in the '95 ECF. Keep in mind that MJ had been back from a 2 year retirement for a measly 2 months. In those 21 total matchups, MJ OWNED Penny in all major statistical categories. MJ avg'd 28/6/5 to Penny's 20/3/4. Even though Penny did get the better of MJ and the Bulls this night, this was never even a contest for the rest of their competitive days, despite what this Anti Jordan propaganda video wants to try to convey.

@williamscott1644 we are on the same page as far as MJ being the goat. He was, and it's not even close. And, I have empirical and analytical data to prove it. But, I digress. Even though MJ was retired and came back "out of basketball shape" in 95, there was no perception of anyone thinking Penny was better. Even for a millisecond. MJ was still looked at as a diety despite showing definite signs of rust during his comeback. That's what made the loss to Orlando all the more shocking and a stark reminder that he was human. But Orlando simply had a better team at the time with a ton of confidence. And if you want to get statistical again, MJ led all scorers in that 6 game series and DOMINATED Penny to the tune of 31ppg to Penny's mere 18ppg. It just wasn't close. Ever. But mad respect to you for the MJ love.

Penny and Grant Hill were both on a completely different level before they were injured and the little injuries started to fade their abilities over time. Penny was absolutely unstoppable and made his teammates so much better and his game was so well rounded, he not only could score, he could pass, rebound and defend the opposing team’s best offensive player. Penny was a real one! The younger basketball fans should watch his highlights and see how incredible he really was. The league was ready to take Penny or Grant Hill as the new faces of the NBA’s future elite superstars.
Even with the nagging injuries throughout their careers, they were still able to play at a higher level than many other players in their era.
    Respect to Penny always

Hops yeah but in quickness and agility Jordan here in 96 is still above everybody I have seen. Look at this 1:45 3:16 Everybody in general was quick and agile. Look at Penny, look at Kukoc even. I loved Penny!!! And look how different the game was here. You had to dribble without carrying or palming the ball to make your moves. Is there anyone who thinks that Penny would destroy todays talent playing like he’s playing here. It’s ridiculous. I can’t even watch the nba anymore. There are no rules. Everything I had to abide by as a player is now gone. It shames the game. This on the other hand is a high art form. Ballet with a ball.

Penny was fun to watch, no doubt. But I always had an impression that something was wrong with his jump shot: I think he used to release a ball not on reaching the highest point but a split second later, already descending. That's why he used to make jumpers with effort. To an extent this probably affected his mid- and long range FG percentage as well.

Shaq picked Penny as one of his all time teamates, Penny & MJ. He got a lot of flack for picking Penny over all the other great guards/ but I remember Penny before he got injured, and he could play with anybody in the history of the game, because his nick name, people forget Penny was actually a 6'7" Big Guard. Big O was big previously at 6'5"/ I would've loved to see a one on one between Penny and MJ. Derrick Rose was another great guard, before his injury. Charley Scott was a legend, once scored over 70 pts in a NBA Game, of course The Big O, probably the greatest guard ever, he avg a triple double his 1st 6 NBA Season/ Only MJ and Kobe could be compared with Big O as the greatest of all guards

Penny was a really good player and had a 3 years stretch where he averaged around 21 points per game which is 9 points less than what Jordan averaged for his career and had 0 championships. He outscored MJ 36 to 23 in this game and the Bulls lost by 6 so that was an incredible accomplishment but no, they didn't "destroy" the Bulls and Jordan wasn't directly guarding him much at all for most of those points.

Hardaway was an eventual superstar before the injuries, about 6’7 great ball player pretty good offensive skills. So if he had great games against any team including the bulls and Micheal Jordan. Don’t really remember their games, but penny was going to get their points. Jordan was like 29 right. Shaq also wa on that team, which definitely helped with everyone scoring easier.
Salute to pennys career although slowed by injuries. Did reach an nba finals.
In terms of offense glen rice comes to mind in terms of scoring. No one was stopping rice from scoring. Including Jordan.
Top or great players will always score. So shaking or being able to get off shots on jordan is not the end all be all. It’s the wins. The rings as well.
In any case salute to hardaway.

There’s always one guy who has to go and make things worse for everyone. MJ had rejoined the Bulls, and his game wasn’t at all where he wanted it to be and he would admit as much. His timing and conditioning were way off, but yet he still managed to compete.
It’s true, The Magic defeated the Bulls in the playoffs that particular season. Then, afterwards, it happened! Nick Anderson had his press moment and he didn’t disappoint! He said that MJ as #45 was NO #23!!!
    That was all it took!
Fast forward to next season when The Magic met The Bulls in the playoffs, MJ completely destroyed the entire Magic team and they were swept easily by The Bulls on their way to winning another title.
People need to know the entire story, right?!
It’s not a good idea to give MJ any extra motivation, right Nick Anderson?!??

They won the NBA Championship consecutively in 1996, 1997, and 1998. Don't forget that dude. Let that truth sink into your mind. Rodman wasn't a hall of fame caliber before joining Bulls. He was a trouble maker and no one considered him a future HOF back then. Although he was great at rebound already, cuz his personality, no team wanted him and no one could contain him. Bulls brought him in the make him from a good player to great player and he did help the Bulls to win another 3 champs. That's how he became a HOF. Rodman wasn't in NBA top 50 list at all (list made in year 96), but he made in the top 75 list and be consider as #47 years later. That's how much Bulls changed him.

Here you are.... another simpleton that just says a bunch of non-context garbage, throws it against the wall and hopes that it sticks.
Jordan came back March 1995 and lost the Orlando in the May 1995 playoffs 4-2 after being of the league nearly 2 years. Nothing to take away from Shaq and Penny as they did what they were supposed to do in that series with homecourt advantage. However, after Jordan got a full season under his belt and after the embarrassing loss in the 1995 season, Jordan and the Bulls team came back with the exact same team that lost in 1995 for the 95-96 season and had a record breaking (at that time) 72-10 season proceeded on to WIN the NBA championship sweeping Penny, Shaq and Orlando along the way.
You see, Jordan and the Bulls actually accomplished the overall GOAL and won the championship. Yes, 72-10 was a nice feat and accolade along the way. Sweeping Orlando was bitter sweet but the overall goal was that Jordan came back after a full season under his belt with the same team and erased the Magic so much that they started to break the team up the following season with Shaq's departure to LA.
So hang your hat on that crap you're spouting with lies and no context all you want but true fans won't allow your bull crap to stick.
