Wonderful video! I lived in Copenhagen for a year (1993-94) and its interesting to see how it all looked 20 years earlier. I visited Copenhagen again for a few days in 2014 - and still found it wonderful!
The Copenhagen of my childhood. The buses were so classy then - and you had letter boxes! The city has changed beyond recognition the last 30 years - and most for the worse. But I am glad we got rid of that filth in Istedgade though
Good to hear that. I thought i would return to Copenhagen, but never have, but i Definately Will Return when i can afford it. Denmark has been in my Heart All my Life.
In 1973 i did make a Soundtrack, with the music of Sebastion and the Olsen Brothers, The Nice, Graduate Soundtrack, and Other music of That time. I used to Moneytize my Films but was always getting Copyright Bans, so they are now Silent, and later i stopped Moneytizing all my films. I also Recorded all the Street Sounds on the Cassette Recorder that is hanging off my shpoulder, but never got round to adding it to the films.
Hey David! I'm a Danish communications student from Copenhagen. At the moment I'm making a film about the constant changing character of Copenhagen, and in that context I'd love to include some archive film from the beautiful city. Would I be able to use a few clips from your film here? Thanks in advance!
Thank you for sharing your videos of Copenhagen in the 70s. You obviously enjoyed your time here 👍🏼 I live in Copenhagen (København😉) and wouldnt live anywhere else😊I hope you get to visit Denmark again as you had planned. Copenhagen still is beautiful, fun and its typically danish sympathetic mix of "cutting edge" & history. Covid will pass (faster if everyone does their part to beat it😏) making travel possible and safe
You will find Istedgade & Halmtorvet have changed quite abit😁 Its gone from "red light district" to well to do hipster zone"! Though you will still find the odd "retro/kitsch" porn shop, its mostly quirky boutiques, cafés, art galleries & music venues now. Its actually a cool and central place to stay when visiting Copenhagen. Though I personally love "my" Nørrebro (North Copehagen) a bit more. I love its cultural diversity, plethora of gems (art, music, festivals, cafés, parks, playgrounds for children (and grownups😃), sports facilities, pop up food/flea markets, antique shops, but most of all I love the locals🤗 and that this part of town though evolving like everything does and has become somewhat of an attraction/a hotspot for bloggers from around the world, still is very "authentic local Copenhagen"❤️🇩🇰
Dear David, I've been trying to find a way to get in contact with you regarding the possibility of using some of your clips for documentary. Is there a way for me to send you an email?

Hi there @David, I'm producing a small site with the story of my friend's LGBT+ business in Copenhagen and was looking for some footage from this years. Any chance I could use it and mention you and link to the original source?
I'm back in Copenhagen in May 2020 after 47 years!
I had to Cancel due to Covid. 2022?

I’ve been renting and living in the ground floor of the 110 where you filmed in the beginning! What a coincidence that I found this video
@@ruigoncalves2 Yes, a good part of town, with Views Both sides from the top floor.
I went past There last Saturday, after 50 Years. There was a Pram parked inside.@@ruigoncalves2

Still the same ?? Istedgade in the 70s bears no resemblance to Istedgade today..!! It was really
" lively " back then.
Thanks for that David. I wasnt born in 1973, but I guess it was a time of transition.
Thank you for posting this film! If I need music, I'll play some Abba ;o)
Abba were Swedish. Copenhagen = Denmark

Tak for that, but i'll just leave my channel as is. Thank You.
Brilliant footage, David. Clearly the stabilizer wasn't invented yet 😆 Love these shots.
Thank you. Yes 8mm film cameras had no stabiliser, and the speed changed as the AA Batteries ran down. A Beautiful City !
