I wish I could've seen the Jurassic World Tribute Store and the Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Tribute store. Unfortunately, I missed out on it because I couldn't afford to go to the Universal Orlando Resort at the time.
Well one nice thing is we covered it on the channel if you want to see it still! But I definitely hear you, physically seeing it is another story! So cool 😊
Was there earlier - just love the entire vibe of the store. That is a pretty accurate price for that beta-corder. I didn't go Beta (thankfully), but my first VHS VCR was around $1100, which is like $4.5K today - can you imagine! Everyone thought we were related to the Rockefellers (we aren't - we just worked really hard and long hours to get one.) Today, that VCR would be far better quality for about $200, which you can still buy on Amazon (I know because I recently replaced one.) I love the use of floppy disks on the desk area (I'm showing my age now-I go back to the 8-inch floppy and punch card era; in fact, I still program in COBOL!). Is Ghostbusters a house this year? I think I say it on a spec map somewhere, and it seems they are pushing the GB merch. Great video - I caught some things I missed on my first run-through. Be well.
It's so good, right?! I loved it, and every little detail they added. It was nostalgic, it was accurate and it just flowed so well. It did seems slightly smaller though? I've seen some of those old school video recorders that are meant to give you the old school look to them, but I imagine it's new tech and what not, but it looks like a VHS camera still. Kind of cool, but very niche lol. That's wild how much you had to spend, even back then. New tech I guess! LOL. Did you guys end up selling it at some point? Or keep it for the memories? I've seen 8inch floppy disks, but have never used LOL I was only ever someone that used the like 3 or 3.5 inch whatever they were. Basically all of those that were on the counter there haha. I don't even know COBOL, but to be fair I Don't know many programming languages in general haha. I know the big ones, python, java, c++ etc, and in school I had to use SQL for like one or two classes. But that's it haha. I'm hearing people talk about it, which makes me think yes? But I don't want to say anything that I haven't heard confirmed, that would be the telephone game of "he said that she said, that he saw what they had, and she read about (this)" LOL. So I imagine their first IP house will be something pretty big, though. I don't imagine they'd leave their bigger houses for last. I'd LOVE to see ghostbusters, I heard the house was pretty good in the past. So count me in lol. Appreciate it! I definitely had to walk through a few times off camera just to appreciate it more and more. And then we walked through after DreamWorks again. I'm excited to go through multiple more times, it's going to be a hit with the guests I think!
@@Dillon.Thomas Definitely a great store and yes, I wasn't sure if it was smaller or just more stocked - either way, a great tribute store. Yes - still have the original, and it works, but I don't trust it to put a tape in it (not that I use tapes that often - in the process of digitizing everything.) Agreed about mentioning without confirmation - fun to speculate. Would definitely love to see a Ghostbusters house. I am looking forward to that Mosters of Latin American house - heard it was great in CA. I've never made it out to CA to see their version of HHN (I don't really care for CA honestly, been there, done that), have you? Looks like a hot one this weekend - enjoy the holiday weekend. Be well.
@Sir-Ray truly is a great store! I guess that's a good thought, might have just been filled up more, making it feel less spacious and long? I used to make videos back in the day on our original one, I wonder if I have any of my vhs with our recordings haha. I made some great content as a kid 🤣🤣 I'm rewashing some of the old Ghostbusters, I need to see frozen empire still. And I plan to watch the all female cast, but I haven't heard good things about it. But I still want to see it. Never been to CA! Plan to visit at least once to say I have. And mostly to visit their universal and disney parks haha. I don't imagine I'd go out there too often. But I want to try their special events and just check out the parks. Plus I have people I deal from work out there so I can double the trip up haha. It's getting quite hot recently 🥵
What do you think of this summers tribute store?? And do you plan on visit during the summer to check it out? 😁
It looks amazing! Love the retro theme. I'm so excited to see it in person - we'll be checking it out sometime in June for sure.
@@BBirdy5 nice! You're going to love it. I've never felt some nostalgia from a tribute store like I did with this one!
Rube Goldberg is what you're thinking of. I also love "he's kinda smiling" when he's holding a giant knife.
Right?! I want Mr. Tape merch lol. Or a plushie or something! 😅
Love the videos! Keep it up!
Thank you!! 😊
Oooooo this brought me back man!!
It's so good!!
God loves you man and it’s VHS bruh VCR is the player you play the VHS in lol 📼
Lol you're not wrong! I think it was all just getting mixed together that day, "Tape", "VCR" and "VHS" was all "VHS" to me lol!
