    Very inspiring.
I use beech, ash, oak or elm. Most from knotty pieces.
    I love your organic shapes....😊

How do you get the bugs out of the wood ?

I enjoyed your video. I would like to try this myself. My question is: do I need to fully dry out the wood before I start or can I carve it green and then dry it slowly?
What do use to finish the wood?
    Txs.

I just ran across this video and noticed your comment. Hopefully you have indulged in this satisfying process. I have done quite a lot of sculptures in the past using many techniques and tools. It is my preference to start out with green wood and take the form to a rough state because it is much easier to remove the unwanted wood. Then let the drying process begin. This result in less checking and splitting or at least not as pronounced than letting the initial raw form dry before attacking. facebook.com/woodworksbygarry/
