Watched this last night on the website and gotta say this one of the most touching & hysterical Always Open episodes I've watched. Troy and Nolan really brought a great deal of knowledge and experience that I loved listening to.
I had the chance to interview Troy Baker a few years ago, he is the handsomest, most warmest, very charmingest person in the whole planet. Actually...one of my proudest accomplishments is having interviewed him.
Black knight1000 you realize that google is updated every time somebody has a birthday, unlike Wikipedia which usually gets abandoned after the first time it’s posted, right?
That little sip Barbara does at 21:11 and looks at the camera where she knows that the alcohol is working and that this is going to be a good next hour is priceless...
My God, this season of Always Open is raising the bar. Not just for AO, but for RT as a whole. I'll buy another year subscription just to support a show that delivers as consistently. This episode is full of wisdom and truly enlightening. These guys are great. How do you find these great personalities?
I gather that they have gotten to know each other because they're on the same convention circuit, especially since they have been hitting the RWBY promotion so heavily in the last year or two.
I recently discovered that Nolan and Troy have a youtube channel called Retro Replay and been watching it everyday and this just makes my day even better (btw i wrote this comment before watching the video)
I've been watching RR since the beginning so getting 1.5 hours straight with these two is magic! So if you enjoyed this and have never seen Retro Replay, we've got hours of Troy and Nolan for you to binge! Thanks Always Open for making this going happen ;)
I love how much they pretty much took over the show and committed to doing silly bits. I loved these two legends from the countless hours in games I’ve played through the years. And I’m so happy they are doing videos now. They are a true joy to just listen to.
This was by far, the most impactful Always Open to me, especially with the Leap of Faith topic and confidence topic. I am so glad I decided to watch this show today, so so glad.

am i the only one that was surprised that an ALWAYS OPEN episode with NOLAN NORTH AND TROY BAKER of all people would turn into a philosophical life lesson fest that I thoroughly enjoyed?
I can listen to Troy Baker talk all day. This two are such talented and amazing people and their chemistry is off the charts amazing as always. So happy they got them into the show.
You should get Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham, who are both from Texas and have both voiced stuff for RT on when they have time away from their weekly streamed D&D game, their baby Ronin, and their busy life now making a D&D animated show due to the success of their Kickstarter that is now at $9.1Million.
1:12:00-1:15:12 was in an emotional rut today and by god, thank you Nolan North, from the bottom of my heart, because I can now look on to set a new goal in my life: to be able to look back and give myself a pat on the back for the successes I made, rather than my failures. To making new goals.
1:16:00 real talk, from that timestamp onward I just felt attuned to that conversation. I'm having ALL of those thoughts in my 20's right now. Especially the taking a chance part. My Last Crusade bridge is leaving the wonderful city I've grown up in, and working in another country across the globe (because my career can only go so far where I am).
This episode came right when I need it here "Take the Leap" is something I recently been telling myself that's it's time. I've been voice acting online for the past few years and I'm finally making money, but lately I feel like the only thing back is location. I'm ready to give up everything and leave as soon as possible I'm ready to "Take the Leap!".
I’ve never clicked on an always open video ... today is the day because you have not one but two of the greatest voice actors of our time. God I love them so much. Also... now that you guys have gotten me to watch an always open.. might be time to start watching from the first episode
I had to friend in the Marine Corps who met a girl in the bar and then slept with her, and the next day he saw her at his family reunion. I think they were second or third cousins.
Two of my favourite shows on the internet combined in an hour and a half? Absolutely adore this episode! Nolan and Troy are inspirations, so genuine and full of life. That coupled with Barb and Mariel's youthful antics just works! So jealous of those signed copies, the money I would pay for those!!!
I cannot put into words how much I loved this episode of Always Open. I was already prepared to enjoy it because, hello, Troy Baker and Nolan North?! Great conversation for introspection as well as belly laughs! Cheers and thank you to Barbara and Mariel for bringing us this show (and this episode 😄)!
This is the most amazing hour and a half I've spent on UA-cam, if someone can link the cameo with Troy Baker they were talking about in the beginning that would be great
1:29:36 "Once you take that leap, you're a success..." SO GOOD. What started as a show about hooking up with your cousin, became a super motivational talk. I'm 32, married, 4 kids, and Troy and Nolan make me feel like it's not too late to do better in life.
Just so you know, 30:00 that is the perfect Christopher Walken Impression... And yes... Nolan North is awesome at intentionally doing a christopher walken too.
Troy is the perfect mix between a philosophy major and the dude at a party who you could listen to for hours.
But still be human and resent because he's so perfectly dressed and coiffed.
I don't edit, so when I say resent, I mean just a little.
Watched this last night on the website and gotta say this one of the most touching & hysterical Always Open episodes I've watched. Troy and Nolan really brought a great deal of knowledge and experience that I loved listening to.
hey you're that horror/anime guy
I love how Nolan just kept trying to reign in Troy from his philosophic tangent lol
CaseFace5 pretty much our dynamic. 🤘🏻😜TB
RETRO REPLAY Please tell us if tlou 2 comes out this year ??
"I WANT TO PUT A BABY IN MY COUSIN!!" - Nolan North 2019

@@mirandareynoldswrap // ... sometimes.
*piano riff*
Omg you should try to get Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham! Or Matt Mercer and Marisha Ray
Or Monica Real and David Tennant.
i think i spot a critter....
yourlocalfirebrand Haha that obvious?? I hope the overlap in fandoms is big enough!
I would love to see Matt Mercer omg
Did someone say Critter?
TROY BAKER AND NOLAN NORTH?!?!?!?!?! JOEL AND NATHAN?!?!?!? YEEEEEEEASSSSHHHh
Look up ''Retro Replay'' on youtube.
@@misterhoobomaster breh I know :)
@@Cam9915 no, I think you mean Rhys and August
Now let's get Jen Taylor/Cortana from Halo and Jennifer Hale/FemShep from Mass Effect.
@@Cam9915 As Troy stated, that was only in the good one. xD
I had the chance to interview Troy Baker a few years ago, he is the handsomest, most warmest, very charmingest person in the whole planet. Actually...one of my proudest accomplishments is having interviewed him.
Marvel: "Endgame is the most ambitious crossover event ever!"
Barbara Dunkelman: "Hold my puns!"
Their chemistry is incredible.
They’re the kings of tangents.
If they went on off topic...
when you realize that troy baker is 43
Aidan Reeve SOORYY WHAT
i swear google has the wrong info or maybe its a glitch in the matrix cuz i could swear just last month i was looking at his wiki page and he was 39.
Black knight1000 you realize that google is updated every time somebody has a birthday, unlike Wikipedia which usually gets abandoned after the first time it’s posted, right?
ikr he looks barely 30
edit: also nolan north is only 6 years older than him
I’m sorry WHAT
I love how Nolan is older than Troy by only around 7 years yet he looks old to be Troy's dad.
i literally just looked up their ages bc i was *sure* they weren’t as far apart as they look here lmao
Ellis McKennon yeah its like a handful of years rather than the 12 to 15-ish i was lowkey expecting lmao
There is only 5 and NO he doesn't
Troy looks so young for his age
Well Troy looks 30
One of the best episodes of Always Open to date. There is so much wisdom and joy between the two of them.
This was my favorite ever. Literally, inspired me to really invest in myself, take a leap of faith, and duck my cousin
The "your mother" voice from Nolan 10 minutes in is all I needed
That's the hint of Retro Replay squeezing it's way in
I wish someone would make a compilation of him doing the voice.
That little sip Barbara does at 21:11 and looks at the camera where she knows that the alcohol is working and that this is going to be a good next hour is priceless...
Dudes Troy has such a mind and a soul. I could listen to him for hours.
My God, this season of Always Open is raising the bar. Not just for AO, but for RT as a whole. I'll buy another year subscription just to support a show that delivers as consistently. Mariel: We’ve done all sorts of things before!
Nolan: and this is why I carry a knife.
Jurassic Lion He wasn’t responding to Mariel though..

Retro Replay! Both of the best channels together at last!
God, I love Nolan and Troy so much. So inspirational and wonderful guys.
came for troy baker, ended up admiring the lighting decisions on the set. love how it emulates a diner at golden hour. Cheers
I never thought I would cry during an Always Open with these 2 guests. So inspiring and thoughtful, just what I needed to hear at this moment
So many inside jokes between Nolan and Troy from Retro Replay. I love it!
I love how much they pretty much took over the show and committed to doing silly bits.
I loved these two legends from the countless hours in games I’ve played through the years. And I’m so happy they are doing videos now.
They are a true joy to just listen to.
Haha this was awesome. I love how Barb and Mariel just took a back seat and let Troy and Uncle Noly do their thing. Great episode!
Sometimes you have to let the Seniors have their moment.
Troy and Nolan are my favorite married couple.
This video is one of the many examples of why I love these guys and especially why they get me through so much.
I love Troy and Nolan. This was an amazing listen btw. Thank you.
This was by far, the most impactful Always Open to me, especially with the Leap of Faith topic and confidence topic. I am so glad I decided to watch this show today, so so glad.

God troy baker is so handsome
Can Troy Baker and nolan north be on achievement Hunter because that would be awesome
I agree they should do let's watch
I think I'd prefer them on FunHaus. I think their style would mesh better.
Have them play games they voiced in like Saints Row 3/4
Have you seen them on a UA-cam channel called Retro Replay?
Imagine retro reply and cow chop. Mind blown

Gonna write my cousin a Love Song after seeing this.
Wish me luck!
Just realized he was on Pretty Little Liars as Spencer's dad.
33:46 dear god Nolan looked so hurt from Troy's comment about Uncharted and never broke eye contact as he took the game

So glad to see Drew had enough soup to distract him long enough to let Troy and Uncle Noly slip out of the Retro Replay cave.
Congratulations on the partnership with Retro Replay!

This is singlehandedly the best episode ever. Nolan and Troy are amazing people. They really should be permanent fixtures on the show lol.
Watchin' this while drawin' Yang hangin' in the booth, gettin' drunk with Desmond Miles and Delson Rowe
I feel so inspired after watching this episode, it’s so insightful and amazing. I hope they do another episode with Troy and Nolan.
Troy is talking about Rafael painting the Vatican apartments while Michaelangelo painted the ceiling
Denisse E. Garcia BINGO! Thank you so much for clarifying. That was driving me crazy! 🤘🏻😜TB

Ok the last thirty minutes made me cry, this is my first Rooster Teeth video and it made me cry.

How did Rooster Teeth resurrect Desmond Miles and Revolver Ocelot?
They have cloning machine for a reason.
You mean captain walker and booker Dewitt
i love ac, but desmond miles is far from his best performance
I follow Uncle Noly and Uncle Troy wherever they go , i like when the talk of big philosophy topics or about life .
