The media needs to leave Stephen be, he's served more than his time. Unlike some of the golden boys.
I agree.
Good for him. He served his time unlike Higgins. Let the man earn his way back and good luck to him.
No one has his cue action. No one
Know one…..?????

He'll never rejoin the tour, because he'd have to pay his fines then, and it's probably more money than he has, unless some wealthy backer paid it for him. It's unlikely that he'd make more money on the tour than the fines so it would be very risky.
Strange how nothing happened to Higgins for the same thing.
It wasn’t the same thing
@@xplaybwoix Not exactly, but close enough.
He went to Paedo Island with Barry Hearn? But in all seriousness he was scared of the Russians, give him a break?
Higgins' case is much worse, he was literally filmed at the meeting... Steven had no such evidence..
Cheating bastards. Should never be allowed back
no fan of Lee but I feel he got hung out to dry... made an example of, when other big name players involved in questionable things were pretty much let off. 12 year ban was excessive. Still, at his age and assuming he still struggles with his weight it would be very hard to come back.
I don’t see how 12 years is excessive…surely it’s not enough…lifetime ban…how could you trust any missed shot again.
I think if he still has the skills than fair play to him
He should come back, people make mistakes, everyone needs to get over it 😂
Hardly a mistake .Criminals love people like you
hope he comes back. one of the biggest talents in the sport ever
I would like to see him return, great talent...he's served more than his time, unlike Higgins !!!!
12years is a bit harsh tbh
It was to make him 50 when it ended as opposed to giving a lifetime ban. Lifetime but worded differently.
@Dystopianutopiabuilds I think for the time, 12 was harsh. 5/7 was fine but they wanted to make an example of him.
@@wingzero2348 as I said before they chose 12 so he would be 50 when it ended so effectively the same as a lifetime ban but doesn't sound quite that bad. It was a life ban really though and they knew it.
Two of the Chinese players were banned for life.
The penalty they gave to Quinten Hann was harsher. Quinten didn't even fix a match, he just agreed to do it with the undercover reporters exactly like John Higgins. 8 year ban.
I'd be up for a Lee/John Higgins exhibition. Maybe have a wee bet on it.
Yes nothing happened to Higgins. Wonder why
we all deserve a second chance he was a great player i would like him winn a few tournaments
well, me for one is hoping to see him return. nobody hit the ball better than stephen. he who has never sinned cast the first stone.
Will be interesting to see how he gets on in the qualifiers
Wow, the skills and curves on Stephen Lee's shots!!!
Talked to his brother who looked a lot healthier, talked to brocco Lee
Underrated comment
What a shame. If he wasn't not banned, the outcome and ranking of snooker during his absence would be different. Such strong screw power he has.
He's done his time and will be a welcome addition back to the tour. I enjoyed watching him when he first came on tour. He is certainly more enjoyable to watch than many of the players kn tour these days. He will play on some tour that's for sure. Saudis will gladly sign him up also... Good luck Stephen.
Stephen Free
John Higgins was caught on video but was banned and went on to win another World Championship!
Was banned for six months, three of which were in the summer break. Higgins was hardly punished at all.
Higgins was set up you weren’t there
12 years was beyond extreme
Amazing cue action
Was made an example of. Some player. Hope he does come back.
He never paid his fines, he’s got no chance of coming back and wouldn’t be good enough anyway.
5 years would be about right for this stupid greedy mistake . Really stupid decision match fixing , as he had the talent to win much more honestly. But time to let go, we all make bad decisions in life.
Ive seen some dodgy matches,if you can get more money losing then its wrong 😮
for 40k , he could have made that in his sleep
I hope he does, top player, and top bloke !!! 👍
He got caught, all the others didn't and still playing--LOL
Don't allow betting on snooker, it takes two to tango.
Not sure where you got this information… I seen an Interview recently and he said he is not making a comeback.
Even if he did make a comeback he wouldn’t get through Q school let alone cause any damage on the tour - he hasn’t played matchplay snooker for over 12 years….
Hmm.. To err is human, to forgive divine.
I bet he can…although I think he’s betting against it😂
Can’t wait see Steve back on table, looks like Huggins got away with ban, and he hasn’t bothered Huggins at all he must have thick skin. The snooker federation should be ashamed not banning Higgins. Come on Steven lee get back on the green braise
Baize.. get it right
@@bernarddover1442 Spelling is the least of his worries.
He's not coming back
?
Ollie needs to come back, that's enough smoker kippers
Higgins plays so lee can .
I am all for second chances, he's done his time. Just hope he learned from it.
1:24 Lee Could Not be back at crucible in 2025 - he is no longer a pro player!
He will have to enter Q school in May 2025 and - if he wins!- then start the 2025/26 season
He could get a wildcard.
@@ebojfmdboojoh4023 No I don't think so. Numbers are sometimes made up to 128 for a competition when not all pro's enter. But they are strictly chosen from the Q-School finishing order.
@@adrianwright8685 I meant an invitational tour card. For example like Stephen Hendry and Ken Doherty, James Wattana etc have been given.
@@ebojfmdboojoh4023 Ok - I guess those are given to players the WST considers to have been great 'Ambassadors' of the game. Doubt if Lee comes in that category - especially as he still owes them £125,000 in legal fees!!
@@adrianwright8685 How does he owe them any legal fees. Was Stephen Lee was never convicted of any Criminal offence. In fact the Crown Prosecution Service decided that was insufficient evidence to prosecute for Match fixing. The tribunal that overssen Lees appeal case does not have any legal authority to insist anyone pays legal fees. It was ind andepent tribanal that rejected Lees appeal against suspension. It wasn't a court of law.
He's already stated he won't return
He’s got more chance of becoming a member of The Bolshoi Ballet company than he has at making a return to the full snooker tour. He could have been amazing but greed got the better of him. His cue action was the best in the game. You live and die by your life decisions and he’s the only one who can be blamed. Cheats never change either.
He got caught how many including managers and promoters never its all about the money get in the real world as confimed by Hearne live on the BBC
The Higgins situation was different. For all the other comments
It was different because Higgins got away with cheating.
WHY HE OFFERED TO CHUCK MATCHES FOR MONEY
I'd like to see Stephen return. Great to watch that cue action. He's paid the price and everyone deserves a second chance.
He should have paid his manager a shit load of cash, to be thrown under the bus... That's precisely what Higgins did.
Old news ! So is he coming back?
I think 12 years was far too. Harsh
Hope he comes back, I wish him luck 🍀 👍😀
I think he will be back bad 👀 or not he's hungry
Doubt he'll return he doesn't sound like he wants to. I think he ruined a good career all over match fixing. Sad.
Should be banned for life and there should be a weight limit on players, he’s going to break a table one day and ruin the match for everyone.
john higgins
If hes good enough to compete, he does have a following, he has taken his medicine. Hes entitled to the opportunity. Entertaining player back in the day.
They get away with it now
Higgins is still at it even after all these year's. .... disgraceful 🤮
Tell that to the 10 Chinese players and Mark King currently serving bans and Tirapaipongboon who wasn't allowed back on tour
Need to pay his fines first
Higgins!! , an absolute disgrace……
40 grand wasnt that much
Makes you wonder how much was bet after he was paid 40k
@@barry2924 would say heaps,, must distort betting averages
Tell that to my mortgage.
Stephen lee should have maybe won multiple wprld championships before fixing matches. Higgins still was the better player and no one is stopping a cash cow. Missing balls on every occasion you cone to the table especially as a Professional is a sign of being at it. Jan Jones...... Bingham, Mark king and the Asian fellas from last year all were caught fixing. Speaking about being approached to fix a match isn't the same as actually trying your best to not win. Stephen Lee actually used to look decent and then he'd do his beat to miss a simple shot. That happens more than on a blue moon? Your ass is toast. Pressure is only attributable to the odd miss. Not missing every fucking ball in sight. Higgins has had the better career as well. People hate on him cause he is Scottish. It was the exact same with Hendry. People ated him for how he used to always skelp Jimmy white about on the table and being Scottish. No matter though. Imagine fixing a match anyway. 6 month bans for gixing 1 match and decade bans for people doing over a f8ve match period. That way it nips this k8nd of antics in the bud.
People have served less time for murder.
Stephen Lee on comeback:
“Not a chance of it”
Hope this helps
Yeah, just look at Matthew Stevens. Just laughs when people say he could return to his previous highs and he's stayed in the game.
He aint coming back. Nonsense.
no i do not like him as a player it bad four the the game of snooker if he come back
He owes 100+k to worldsnooker. He will not return unfortunately
He wouldn't make it on the tour anyway he's too old for a start and he's had no match standard opponents
Wild card?? 😂
There's no way he can re qualify for the tour and get back to form at his age.
He can
Got the ability to be world champion if he wants it bad enough .
@@muckle8 he was never good enough to be world champ
@@TheJohnCooperShow I'd have to agree. If he couldn't do it before what chance does he have after 12 years out of the game and over 50 years old? I can't see him even getting back on the tour but you never know.
@@Dystopianutopiabuilds theres an outside chance well seem in in tournaments. like jimmy white is 60 and still qualified for ranking events. but winning worlds, absolutely not
That’s because Higgins was innocent

😂🤣😂🤡🤡🤡
should have been banned for life
you would have shoplifters banned for life and parking on double lines loose your licence forever
I wouldn't watch him the brass neck of the salad dodger 😮
doesn't need to redeem himself, he's done his (over)time - hope he gets back and does well.
Hearns has been fixing it for decades haha please retire soon!
Cheat, end of
Technically John Higgins is a cheat but he only got 6 months.. so is it a case of big cheat little cheat?
Higgins was also guilty karma maybe as his forms completely gone now
Can he redeem himself? No is the answer, but if the question was …
Does he have the number to every Uber eats in the land, well, …. You decide 😂
Why bother he was shit player anyway had a cheeky cheating 😂 more chance of Steven Henry ,Steve Davis or Alex Higgins coming back and winning a major title and one of them is dead 😂
Bet you would beat him easy if you ever got a break above 1 wouldnt you
Greg I wouldn't be so sure I bet Stephen could beat many of the players on tour now. Not saying he's top 16 material but you never know. Let's see.
What amazing cuepower . Such a waste
What a miss!
He was a rubbish player anyway
Yet he will not qualified.🤣
No thanks, i won't be watching the waster
He's done his time. Let him back in.
He's done his time, let him come back.
There are loads of professional snooker players that have cheated he's just been the scapegoat, just like any other sport, horse racing , greyhounds , football they are all at it
Highway
good for him he was screwed over but higgins was caught on camera and got bugger all .
A six month ban and a £75000 fine is "bugger all"? Are you high?
Good point
But a a 6-month ban and 75 grand fine arr nothing compared to the 12 year sentence that Lee got.
Lee was the sacrificial lamb.
Higgins was too important for the sport for the snooker authorities to sacrifice him in the manner that they did with Lee.
@@shaunigothictv1003 Are you even aware of the difference in the charges levelled against them?
@@Teeb2023 Yes.
Higgins was essentially disciplined for a technically MILDER form of what Lee did.
One got 6 months and the other got 12 years.
@@Teeb2023 One allegedly missed shots in a match on purpose whilst the other agreed that such a situation could be accommodated by himself in a theoretical scenario.
