This bar holds a 1000 people and we packed it! So yes, I am incredibly lucky to have gotten a ticket and making it to the 2nd row. Em was barely elevated from the stage so he shook hands, the guy beside me got a hand slap and thats when I got my head nod as I SCREAMED like a dork when he leaned in that close.... My Stan-nes was shining in that moment.
I'll add, I live in Toronto and this was in NYC, so with the exchange my cost goes up. My flight was 1.5 hours and I had 48 hrs to get there once I got the ticket! This was a pop-up so no advertising just right place, right time when the notification came in. It was like what Em did for Moms Spaghetti pop-up in Detroit. I scarified my vacation that year to do this instead as I knew this might be my only opportunity to meet him, I had hoped for autographs like the event in Detroit, but nope! It's okay cuz I met Skylar Grey instead, she simply walked out the front doors after the show, as we all lingered, and took pics with fans and then walked off down the street, I found that a bit surreal:)
i noticed with some rap concerts you can hear the track playing in the background as the artist is singing along with the recording but with this there is no recorded track just the band doin the beat and him straight up singing i love it
Wow how did I find this video before? I've never seen a megastar of his caliber perform to such a small crowd at such a small venue! It shows how humble and thankful this man is. I would have paid a lot of money to be there, this looks like it was an unforgettable night! It even looks like he's crying when he finishes the last verse of Walk On Water! The energy is incredible in this show. I’ve watched a lot of his concerts online but they have been venues or stadiums and the show was mediocre. This smaller set has Em at his BEST! I agree with the person who said he needs to stick w smaller venues or large clubs cause WOW what a great show!!!
