Hey Josh, I have a success story. I’m a firefighter/paramedic in Massachusetts I just this year got my 30th year of substantial earnings. I always had. A 2nd job. Now I hope I live long enough to enjoy it. As always great stuff

In addition, after age 66. Delayed credits of 8% is added every year until you withdraw Social Security. Delayed credits are important to mention. Delayed credits can practically wipe out the WEP loss.

Quick question please, Josh. I am divorced and part of the court agreement was I receive half of my ex’s federal pension. I may have made 34 years of substantial earnings per SSA’s chart (I worked for irs myself for a very little bit but I don’t remember how many years). The wording on receiving a federal pension is vague enough that I’m wondering if I will be subject to WEP. Please advise?

My wife worked a normal job for 18 years and paid SSI, then she got a GOV job for 30 years that paid no SSI tax. She was told by SSI that she will get nothing from SSI even from mine. This law needs to be changed. We are not rich people.

Some of your figures are incorrect. Substantial earnings from 2016 on are close to 20,000. If you make 10 an hour part-time that is not 20,000. I have recently found your videos and for the most part I agree with your common sense approach. This video was a great disappointment. You basically read the SSA site. It would be great if you could have added ideas of your own. :(
