man i remember this song from when I was a kid and we listened to everything on cassette and watched vhs videos. That was a long time ago.
Over time it just gets better
I just found out about Stryper last night!! For the past day now I listened to half of to hell with the devil and the whole entire first and second album, the yellow and black attack and soldiers under command. I really love them, they don't follow sex, drugs, and rock n' roll. God bless everyone!!
I remember watching their videos from this album on Mtv back then. A friend in high school gave me his copy of this cassette to listen to and I was blown away. I had to give it back to him and bought my own copy. This was in 1987.
@@atd6374 Yes I have all their new CDs and even though I have it on CD, I bought Even the Devil Believes on vinyl .
I can remember when "In God We Trust" came out and "Always There for You" was #4 on MTVs Top 15. I don't think fans of metal these days realize just how huge Stryper was back in the 80s. The only Christian metal to actually receive heavy rotation on MTV and the radio.
We have Christian metal on you tube but i wish there was a radio station that would play it. There are so many bands out there but they dont get air time. But if you want to get blown away with a metal song that has a Christian message listen to "After forever" by Black Sabbath.
One of my favorite songs by Stryper. Will always like this band. Was rocking out to this in 1986 and still rocking out to this here in 2020! :)

We saw these guys a few times back in the 80’s. This song in particular was always one of my favs. I loved the layering of their voices And the patriotic lyrics.

It was the very frst time I heard Stryper in 1992 .
Had this cassette and wore it OUT in my and friends cars won alot of teens for God by this!
Stryper is still rocking. The band put out an album in March called Second Coming and they are set to release another new album this year int he fall called No More Hell To Pay. And I believe they are also going on tour this year.
This is a great song live. Saw it back in the day after the release. They all hit the vocal parts perfectly and still do til this day. M. Sweat was also an under rated guitarist. His solos were usually the better and more melodic of the two IMO.

Stryper, What can i say... Great at what they do.. People find it odd to hear me listening as loud as possible and purchasing Stryper albums (I am an athiest) And no matter my opinion singing every word and every guitar solo (air guitar) i do with pride.. Stryper.. Awesome ;)

Interesting you think that. For me it’s the worst. And I’ve seen others rank it low too. Still, it’s not a bad song at all it’s just that the rest of the album kicks butt. PS: Reach Out, the equivalent song on their previous album (SUC) is one of their best songs of all time in my opinion

Went to see these guys at fox in atlanta in 1986 with adear friend John Russom, wonder what happened to Strypper as well as John . lost touch over the years,love to put the Band back together again for kicks.
