I did the same thing last night w/my pizza waffles~ forgot the cheese on top.=) I also made a crispy 'breading" out of crushed pork rinds & mozz chz processed into breadcrumb texture~ sprinkled it on the bottom grates before I put the batter in, filled it, more batter on top & another layer of the "breadcrumbs". What it did was make a super crunchy/crispy crust for the stuffed pizza~ amazing! Philly cheese steak is on the list~ thx for sharing your first go =)
@@sassygoesketo7438 I think you'll love it~ one part crushed pork rinds to 2 parts cheese. I usually do 2 cups mozz & 1 cup rinds, keep the extra in a baggie in the fridge~ get about 8-10 uses out of that amount.=)
I made your filling recipe today. I also used refrigerator biscuits instead of your batter recipe (which I will be trying when I get some almond flour. I have to say the waffle was very good. My husband like it just fine. He's always skeptical about my gadgets and how they do. He said I could use the waffle maker again. I was surprised! Thanks for your recipe. I had to laugh at myself. I forgot the cheese, too, so I added one slice of pepper jack cheese on top of the waffle. It got very lacy and delicious on top of the waffle. The waffle maker is not that easy to clean, but the results right now makes that cleanup worth it.

What waffle mix or recipe is crispiest? I used to get really crispy waffles in my nordicware stovetop waffle maker. But my stuffed waffle maker has made softer waffles using the same recipe.

Taking it out to early needs to be in for 6- 8 min I do 4 min on each side see if that helps

Would this work with ground beef or do u have to cook the beef beforehand?
I cooked it before hand then use it .I also did a mushroom swiss burger in it as well .pre cook the meat always

@@somebodyelseathome I think it will be crumbly I haven't tried it with out it ,the husk it acts like gluten . you can use xanthan gum as well
