Loving the Everglades stuff…do have to say, you need to make sure you get your lady on more fish! Like she seems super laid back about it, but if you want her to stick around…and fish with you long term, it’s a much bigger priority than you are making it. Believe that 😂🎣🍻. Tight lines
Your right fishing that area is a grind when you got wind and ripping tides to deal with. Right now you throw in the mosquitos around those mangroves. But I love it very challenging. Very day is different.
Justin, research phosphate docks Boca Grande pass. A boat ramp not too far, old docks are literally 100 yards from shore and 50 ft deep. Incredible Goliath grouper action! 50 to 300 lbs are plentiful, they will wreck everything you bring. It is a blast.
Nice vid. I've always wondered how good a spinnerbait for bass would work on Snook. Retrieving it right under the surface to make a boil and those silver blades spinning. Might work great. Maybe even a bass buzzbait. Worth a try. Subscribed also.
Seatrout eat with ferocity. I used to fish with a guy who always said that if trout grew to be the size of tarpon, people would never be able to go into the sea again. They will try to eat things large enough to choke themselves on.
Where are you guys staying ? What boat ramp? Hard to plan a trip down there blind any suggested lodging or towns to stay in? Information would be great.. ?????????
What’s your fishing setup? Boat, gear, safety equipment please and thanks. Want to do same setup. I would like to see u fish the Caloosahatchee river in fort Myers
Hey Man!!! Great video! Your fishing in my backyard lol love that area. If your interested me and my buddy huge fans of yours work at Gumbo Limbo in Naples on the Gulf. You should come and check it out, we’ll buy you lunch/dinner.
Depends on what size they are and what you're fishing for them with but typically drag set on the looser side to begin, tighten up through the fight, then loosen back up when it gets time to land the fish.
I know with some of the other penn reels the DX (dealer exclusive) have power handles on all sizes and brass main and pinion gear in all the sizes as well.
I have a question. I am fishing with a spoon on the Indian river right? I’m about to cast my spoon and when I look up to cast, I see a giant wake. There is no fin, just a grey back, and the thing is moving side to side. Does anyone know what it could’ve been?
Just curious, did you have any problems with the mosquitoes? I fished there one day in April and I thought I was going to lifted out of my boat by them!
@@justin_menendez I attract so many mosquitoes I’m pretty much a necessity for my friend and family to bring along, they will bite me and not them, but I don’t care, because I’m fishing. I do care about them after fishing though….

Is the dock called phosphate dock or something else and what do you usually catch the groupers on
@@backwater.fishin it's called the old phosphate docks they 90% on the bottom. Huge Goliath grouper hangout there.

I’m in Naples too, is this out by Port or the Isles ?
@@Rykso we are located up at the Ritz Carlton in North Naples on Vanderbilt Beach Rd.
Are you on the west coast?
Justin, what’s your advice on hook setting tarpon? And how tight should drag be?
Depends on what size they are and what you're fishing for them with but typically drag set on the looser side to begin, tighten up through the fight, then loosen back up when it gets time to land the fish.
Fastest I’ve ever watched a video 😂
Wait I’m going to the Everglades on Friday, nooo. Are you gonna be there, if so we can maybe fish together.
The reel. Could you tell a difference between the DX and standard Slammer IV.
The DX looks like the one he is fishing. It is black and silver, the slammer IV is black and gold.
I know with some of the other penn reels the DX (dealer exclusive) have power handles on all sizes and brass main and pinion gear in all the sizes as well.
what happen to the tarpon boat works boat
I am getting a new one built and it should be ready in August.

Maybe a big redfish
black drum maybe
Dolphin on its side. They do stuff like that when hunting in shallow.
@@satellitefishing thank you
@@mahogsed7539 haven’t seen a black drum in two years, doubt it, but thanks

No not really, I had an issue with my prop though and we had to change it out on an island. The sandflies about killed me.
