I press (S) to scale then select appropriate axis (x, y or z) and hit zero on numpad. I hope that's what you mean. If not respond with time during video you are referring to and I'll let you know. Thanks for watching.
Mike is amazing. I have been friends with him since 2008. He was my supervisor. He is a phenomenal illustrator and he knows what he’s talking about in this economy if your boss asked you if you know how to do something or ask you to do it you figure it out! He is 100% legit Skilled at whatever he does!
Glad you found it helpful Mike. I think you took away the right idea from the video. The idea is how to think about where you want zones of deformation. Think of them like neighborhoods and the changing flow with the poles as the street corners. The deformation looks good!
Yes it can be a bit tricky. It took me several test runs to grasp the concept of it. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Don't give up. There were so many things I learned during the process. Good Luck. Thanks for watching.
Impressive. Anyone know how he is flattening out those curved extrusions?

Thanks Dew. I appreciate your feedback. Still working to approve my skills. The neighborhood analogy makes a lot of sense. Continued Success Dew!
Very cool, nice to see the before and after. Doing the same with one of my characters
Thanks for watching. Let me know how your character turns out. Continued Success.
This is awesome! I tried that same tutorial and it didn't work for me, must have done something wrong. This makes me so excited to try again.
