I did a similar mod, but used a piece of material stuck inside each groove. Yours is similar but seems to dampen the noise much more. I need to try that.
I took an old hair band and cut it up and added hot glue gun 🗿wish i would have seen this video sooner but at least hot glue gun is easy to take off 😅 great idea

Hey bro, yes you should. Those tapes I used are still there after 4 months and still serve its purpose 🙂
why not just wrap the double sided tape on the stick itself?
It will wear off easily. It will bump through the edges when shifting from gear to another gear
