Flip a coin was written for a family friend of the Kelly family. His name was Pat or so. He comitted suicide and that really hurt the feelings of them. Not only did they make a song about it, but they also made people aware of a suicide hotline, which helps people who think they can't anymore. I think this is one of the best songs and I love the Kelly family, especially Michael Patrick. That Chorus and the "Hallelujah" is magnificent.
Have a look on Michael Patrick Kelly`s Solo music. He`s so good. Especially the new album B.O.A.T.S. I recommend the songs "Home" and "Paragliding" (he wrote that one for his sister who died last year.)
The Kelly Family = Legend! And still on tour, each member solo and also a bunch of them together. Seen them live at Comback Concerts in 2018, 2019, 2020 just amazing! Looking forward to see them finally on stage again this year, many Solo concerts planned and The Kelly Family Christmas Tour, Lucky to own tickets for Zürich🇨🇭 and Frankfurt! 🍀❤️🎉
Wauw! The Kelly Family have so much good songs. Glad that i have seen a few of them in 2001 on the trainstation in Utrecht and Angelo Kelly in 2005 i believe it was in a radioshow where i met a girl who is now still my very best friend. (True friendship)
The Kelly Family started in the 70s, back than their music, was more Country music-ish ! The Family, had not much sucsess, but in the 90s their Carier startet , like a Rocket!
To be honest ... I never liked the Kelly Family that much. Just not the genre I usually like, but I know they did great for many years and had and still have a huge fanbase (deserved). But this song right here ... damn ... still remember when I heard that song for the very first time and it hit a nerve (lost a good friend who commited suicide just a few weeks before that).
