I like design of that map. Only thing i dont like about it that it feels little short.
I would love to have one more objective between breaking through walls and raising a gate (mayby destroying some weapons, supplies, burning down tents. Something like this. Nothing special)

I just can't figure out how to get through someone's defense in this game besides making them run out of stam. When I last played, people would always be able to react to me kicking and stop holding block, and I see you dragging but I don't get why it works when they can just hold block longer. Same goes for feints, I can't see why they're useful.
Drags work because fights are on a "timer". If you don't end the fight in a certain amount of time you die to third parties or leave, and outside of the quarterstaff you can only hold block for it was either 11 or 12 seconds before full consumption of the stam bar aka death. On top of that, the parry box has been unfucked in 2.9 so you can actually shoulder hit and side hit again, so drags are also good for going around parry and dealing damage directly.
Feints and cancels are useful to lock someone into block, extend your spacing, and generally muddy which attack you're doing so that players can't react properly to what drag you're going to attempt past their block, allowing you to equalize the stam cost of the feint by their lost stam for holding block, getting them into an awkward timing where they feel like they have to do something(aka they get hit for trying to gamble you), and just generally maintaining advantageous pressure and initiative as long as your weapon is fast enough to feint without getting gambled instantly.

If someone plays overly passive kick. But yes that does not work against high level players and just gets you killed (though sometimes a kick can mess up peoples routine). Otherwise you just have to outplay them like in any medieval slasher. Morphs (eg feints) are the obvious option. Tripple+ feints eg attack cancel into morph is a more advanced option. Using the alt attacks is also strong. Especially alt slash first into cancel. Jabs are also nice to gain initiative or just mix things up. Jabs are also vital when using slower weapons vs very fast ones.
Then obviously drags and accels are the other less intended option. Not as big of a deal as in Mordhau and Chiv 1 but still importent obviously. sunder already explained.
Finally there is the dreaded animation abuse which is thankfully fairly limited in Chiv 2. Still very present with some weapons like Messer overheads and the like.
In general just break up their rythm. If you try the same thing again and again you will never break through. But if you mix in everything possible in the game no player is good enough to defend every single time. Most will fuck up quite quickly.
If they are for some reason both too good and passive just wait for their stamina to go.

I’ve tried to enjoy chiv 2 but I jst can’t. I loved the first game and the deadliest warrior dlc but after playing mordhau I don’t enjoy the mechanics of chiv nearly as much. If they bring back the deadliest warrior dlc I would grit my teeth and play it cuz that shit is awesome.

@@Stouty I get how it can be more favorable for newcomers and might "flow" better. But the feints and technique of Mordhau just feels more skillbased and more satisfying to me. Morhdau isn't perfect but I just couldn't get into chiv 2 after 1500+ hours of Mordhau.

Medieval times is like one of the only periods that regularly had women on the battlefield. Several contemporaneous accounts can attest to this. I guess it was because it was more of a “free for all” , particularly in the crusades where random people were leaving their farms and going to fight in anatolia, treating it like a pilgrimage or something because they were getting a papal indulgence for it.
