I will give the second young lady credit for actually realizing $14,000 is way too much for a wedding dress I don't care how much money you do or don't have. It's a ridiculous amount, and I think she chose wisely in not getting it because of the price. However she should have thought about it before having her mom spend all that money on travel.

I worked with providing veterans with service dogs, and the difficulty we had getting support just boggles my mind. We were basically paying personally to give away dogs and provide training for free.

1st couple so sweet! For the 2nd bride- I've worked commission retail and been a customer. I understand what the bride's feeling, she explained it. The reality struck her. It's normal to have a change of heart and I respect her for having to do the hard thing and walk away from something you love. Even if it involved people helping you. I think she did the right thing. As far as working on commission, yes, it's hard when it doesn't end in a sale, especially one that really would have brought in $$$, but every sales person knows this happens and it's not YOUR money until the purchase goes through!
The first one was just beautiful people all around and the second part had me pissed at the sales assistant, girl I know you work on commission but calm down! The second bride was truly kind to think before making her parents spend so much!

When I see vets like this young man I realize how fortunate we were that he was not physically injured or worse. I remember the phone call from Afghanistan with mortar fire in the background. I hope this dedicated, brave young couple have the best of lives.

They paid for the veil and accessories though so it does kind of count toward the dress. Also help doesn’t mean they paid for the entire cost. They helped with some of the costs.
