I'm so impressed that he managed to become a paramedic and firefighter while training MMA at an elite level. EMT training is NO JOKE. I did medical assistant training while I was in law school and just the terminology component almost killed me on top of school. Fucking jargon overload. EMT training is at least three times harder than my medical program - I can't imagine how determined Stipe had to be to pull this off while doing something as physical as elite MMA on top of it. I get exhausted just thinking about it. What a warrior!
DougglesMagnificent Dude, I am in law school. You don't have time to learn EMT. Either you never attended law school and making up bullshit (which is the obvious choice) or you probably have an internet degree. Law School is NO JOKE and you smell of what the puder is cooking.
Thomas Stone Read again more closely. I didn't do the EMT program (I said that there's no way I could have handled it). I did the much easier MOA (Medical Office Assistant) program, one hour a night.
Thomas Stone "EMT training is at least three times harder than my medical program - I can't imagine how determined Stipe had to be to pull this off while doing something as physical as elite MMA on top of it." I could barely handle the medical terminology part of the MOA program, and that's just a small component of the EMT program. That was my point. Read closer before dissing someone.
Overeem has the best knees and is probably the strongest fighter in the UFC and ever since joining Jackson mma he seems to be a much more intelligent fighter, he doesn't have a chin, but the real question is can stipe take it
ThatSkaterJustice Stipe's proven to be able to go 5 hard rounds taking big shots against JDS, he's one of the toughest in the division with lots of heart. Overeem does hit really hard but I don't see Stipe getting finished, possible but not likely imo
+Oshana Dinkha I do, I'm also tired of people saying they want to be "UFC Fighter". They should want to be "mixed martial artist" who "fight for or in the UFC"... Just saying.
Yeah he was born in the U.S. but you cannot keep the blood out of the Croatian. Napolean once said "Give me 100 000 croatian soldiers and I will conqure all world" he knew what he was talking about.
Stipe would beat Werdum 9/10... His boxing and striking is better. He has the cardio plus he has the wrestling pedigree to keep it standing and out of Werdum's wheel house.
you're an idiot if you think stipe beats werdum 9/10. Complete moron...Werdum was just being stupid and rushed. He is far more experienced than Stipe. Lmao, uneducated casual
Ron Statlind No he wasn't... He's done this in ALL his recent fights... Go back an look at his fight against Cain Velasquez or his fight against Travis Browne... He rushed in w/ the SAME lack of defense as he did in this fight against Stipe. Also, Stipe's boxing pedigree as well allowed for him to SEE Werdum coming in... If you don't know (as you come across as a the real casual fan) Stipe is a Golden Glove boxing champion... This aggressive no defense style is indicative of ALL Rafael Corderio students... Look at RDA he has the same type of style... He just hasn't been caught...
+Clev Eland lmao haha u sound smart to someone stupid. u clown. stipes wrestling is no were near werdum jiujitsu. an go check how many fighters in ufc are goldn glove fighters. lots.u bring up him pushing foward in the velasquez fight. lol go look how cormier fights. aplying pressure works sometimes but dangerous. just cause stipe won fight doesnt make him a better martial artist.
Kind of but in theory the heavyweight champion can beat any other champion. Of course Jon Jones would have something to say about that *wink *wink Dana White set it up *wink *wink
Protoman that hasn't been the case in recent years. Floyd was the biggest draw in boxing and fought the majority of his career at 140 and even went as low as 126. Conor is the biggest draw in MMA and he fights at 155 and no more than 170
Haha I know wtf , nah they have been getting a lot more UFC fighters and boxers recently , they have realised the rise of Conor McGregor and British boxing is real and tryna get in on it , gotta rate that
i'm sure the Cleveland community will really get behind there champion once the playoffs are over and lebron chokes, its starting to become a year round basketball tradition watching him get his ass handed to him
I only watch Hot 97 interviews for WWE and UFC guys and girls, and rappers who talk about wrestling and other things like Wale and Smoke DZA, otherwise y'all are boring af.
Stipe is a fireman and the heavyweight champion. How can you not love this guy. Respect
One of the most well deserved champions I have ever seen. I think Aldo has the most inspirational story.
Totally humble and great guy. So happy for his success!!!
Hi Mona. How are u doin hun?

Stipe is a top guy, his next fight is really hard though but heavyweight is heavyweight, one shot changes so much
stipe has a chin
Aaaaand Overeem doesn't lol
Overeem's great but his chin is mad suspect, Stipe will most likely KO
Overeem has the best knees and is probably the strongest fighter in the UFC and ever since joining Jackson mma he seems to be a much more intelligent fighter, he doesn't have a chin, but the real question is can stipe take it

BRAVO MIOCICU SVAKA TI CAST
Stipe legenda
It's "THE UFC" not "UFC". The company is not a sport. You don't say "the boxing" or "the MMA"... Sheesh.
lol
+Oshana Dinkha I do, I'm also tired of people saying they want to be "UFC Fighter". They should want to be "mixed martial artist" who "fight for or in the UFC"... Just saying.
they should also include the weight class in the title
+tbd word!
lol shut up people say i want to br a nba player, an nfl player, etc etc. big leagues are sometimes synonyms for the sport.
how did hot 97 have him on here but Joe Rogan still hasn't.
Stipe sounds like he's talking through a cone filled with gravel lol
Rosenburg, it's not called a match!!! Sort it out mate, they're not playing a game - it's a fight!!
Stipe vs carwin in his prime. That would be a fight
stipe vs brock in his prime would b a better fight 2 freak athletes
+J moneymania stipe wins on the feet but if Brock uses his size like he did vs frank Mir then I'd give it to Brock.
Wtf? I thought Conor was the heavyweight champ?
He is.
+josh schaefer clearly a joke.. dumbass lol
He is.
no, heavyweight champion is Ronda
Vincent Agundez Seriously dude!........i though the HW champ is Demetrious Johnson.
Yeah he was born in the U.S. but you cannot keep the blood out of the Croatian. Napolean once said "Give me 100 000 croatian soldiers and I will conqure all world" he knew what he was talking about.

+Clev Eland lmao haha u sound smart to someone stupid. u clown. stipes wrestling is no were near werdum jiujitsu. an go check how many fighters in ufc are goldn glove fighters. lots.u bring up him pushing foward in the velasquez fight. lol go look how cormier fights. aplying pressure works sometimes but dangerous. just cause stipe won fight doesnt make him a better martial artist.
heavyweight? man he could drop down like 2 weight classes
Werdum is that 1 dislike XD
Misleading title. There's more than one champion. Should be more specific. He's the new ufc "heavyweight" champion .
Kind of but in theory the heavyweight champion can beat any other champion. Of course Jon Jones would have something to say about that *wink *wink Dana White set it up *wink *wink
+Teddy Graham
myyy nigga
Yeah. Usually the Heavyweight is promoted as "the guy". Historically in combat sports, the heavyweight champions draw the most money.
Protoman that hasn't been the case in recent years. Floyd was the biggest draw in boxing and fought the majority of his career at 140 and even went as low as 126. Conor is the biggest draw in MMA and he fights at 155 and no more than 170
Brandon Standifer
Methinks you didn't understand the word "Historically"
ppl from cleve are generally cool.
Wtf is stipe doing on there lmfaoooooooo
Haha I know wtf , nah they have been getting a lot more UFC fighters and boxers recently , they have realised the rise of Conor McGregor and British boxing is real and tryna get in on it , gotta rate that
