    Great video! I wanted to view the fit and installation before building it myself. If you'll allow me to give a tip: using an aluminum led channel will greatly enhance the life of your leds as well as reduce the heat that the plastic will "feel". Although I can imagine that that will not fit in the provided stl files.

      Managed to blow the lights by connecting a 24v supply in error, now reprinting the melted gantry is ASA and will always double check the cable!

      @@colinhill oof, that's no fun. Good luck rebuilding it. For me it has proven to be an essential addon to my printer.

    Looks great! I don't have the Mini but ordered the TLX for my i3 MK3. You should get an affiliate link or something as its because of your video I found out about Tukkari. Thanks mate! I also got the Noctua fan and controller as it seems to work well for you :)

      Thanks for the feedback. I have a good relationship with Tukkari so no need for links. I'm sure you will find the TLX a good solid quality product. I was impressed with the Mini version. Good luck with the fan and controller.

    Great video. Where could I get more information on the power socket you used? Not the printed socket but the components. I want to go with 24 volts.
    I've made some very nice mods to my Mini+ thanks to your videos.

    Hallo, can I put the printer with the box in my sleeping room or is it bad because of the smell of plastic or is the box protects from the plastic smell?

      You will still get some noise from the printer, primarily retraction noises. Plus if you have a fan hooked up that will make a lot of noise. I can't sleep with the printer running (if i ever have to sleep in the guest room/printer room). Smell - PLA is fine, PETG is ok (but depends on brand), ASA/ABS i would never stay in the same room if that is printing. The Tukkari helps a great deal with noise, but i would always suggest having the printer in a different room for overnight. Also always have a fire alarm near the printer, especially if you do end up sleeping in the same room! I managed to connect my lights to 24v instead of 12v (had same plug end) resulting in the lights and printed mounts completely melting - lesson learned, and having to start all over again.

    Hi Colin, I'm just about to print your diffusers out, as I'll be using my own LEDs for the light bar, so thanks for designing and uploading the files. Can you let me know what slicer settings you used for them please?

    • @colinhill
      @colinhill  2 роки тому

      Think it was standard prusa slicer settings. Infill might have been 90%

      Hi Andre, I must admit I only use credit cards online. It's probably best to fire an email to info@tukkari.com and let them know the type of card it is. I'm sure they will be able to help very quickly. They have good customer service and you will love the Mini TLX. (You aren't actually that far away from me as the crow flies...south coast).
