Actually obsessed over that one Firienholt album. I get you on the Caladan Brood too. I need more, lol Fantastic albums. Gonna check out the other ones, thanks!
Belore, Can Bardd, Sojourner, Elderwind, Forlorn Citadel, and Eldemar are very similar, all of course with their own unique styles. The genre is super varied for bands though, it's rather impressive how one band nearly invented a new genre.
Man, great video! I’m a really new Summoning fan and i always wondered who else was out there. I just recently discovered the majesty of Enid and Eldamar. I’ve listened to nearly every band in this video tonight and they’ve all been great so far.
I definitely recommend “In Hoc Signo Vinces” by L’Ordre du Temple. It’s basically Summoning but, instead of focusing on Tolkien mythology, L’Ordre’s music is dedicated to the Knights Templar.
Utah spawned a very lively Epic Black metal scene. Bands like Caladan Brood, Gallowbraid, Nordimust, Ered Wethrin and Folkodia! All fantastic bands and repping the Utah Epic Black Metal Scene. I deem this UEBM
I recently discovered Emyn Muin and listened the shit out of it, it is a great extension to Summoning. I love "The passing of the grey company" by Caladan Brood, almost better than the original.
Gallowbraid is a lot more like Agalloch according to a lot of people. Caladan Brood I feel is definitely similar to Summoning but to call them a Summoning-clone is too far imo, they have a unique sound I haven't found in Summoning. Firienholt is then similar to Caladan Brood, and I like both better than Summoning tbh. For two other great bands in a similar style, I'd recommend Elderwind and Cân Bardd.
There is a french youtuber highly influenced by Summoning. His band is Bataille, check it out, if you like. In the same way, but focused on the Harry Potter series, here is Slytherin an American black metal band. Really good band. Recommended//
I´m not really that much into summoning, but I always really enjoy bands that sound like them.Weirdly enough I like Summoning clones more than actual Summoning 😆
Exactly what I would have said. After Minas Morgul, Summoning got really sleepy. Other bands have carried the torch of intensity from that album. Sojourner is one of the best.
Oh you've changed your channel name. When I got the notification, I was like who tf is this? 🤣🤣🤣 I will also check some of these bands out because i am definitely in need of more bands to listen to 😎😎 been obsessed with Shining, Drudkh and Judas Iscariot atm🙏
Bands will be in the description for you to check out 🐉
Caladan Brood - only one album, yes, but damn what an album

Caladan Brood is a glimpse at the sublime

I woke up at 6 AM, gonna catch a train and go on a hike...really needed more Summoning -like bands, thx dude xD
Great video questy, would love for you to make a video about Anaal Nathrakh
I would also recommend Elffor, Ancalagon, Galdur, Elador, Druadan Forest, Old Tower, Elderwind, Vspolokh, Thangorodrim, etc...

BELORE! Check out their album Artefacts. Great Summoning worship!
This band heavenfield put out a great album this year that sounds a lot like summoning

Tales of othertime by Stormkeep could be on this list too.

Nice selection to be obsessed with, all three are goated 🐐
Don't forget Omniscience and Arcania from Brazil
Questy have you listen to new Nordicwinter album? It’s a banger!!
Yeah it’s awesome the one before it is great too
@@Questformetal it was also released in the best time of the year! You should do a top for best albums/genres to listen during Falls.
Early Sojourner and Can Bardd albums could be added to this list.
Gudsforladt. You got me into Friendship, Love and War.
Ah yeah a recent one too love it
Such a great album.
